You guys have done a first class job with the Pathfinder stainless steel line Dave. It is extremely well thought out by the woodsman for the woodsman! The upgrades to the standard bush pot as well as the new kettle and all of the other new additions to the line make Self-Reliance Outfitters a one stop shop for all outdoor cook kit items. Well done!
Very cool Dave. You guys never stop listening to your customers and students, always improving and offering new stuff. Love it man, keep up the great work.
Ordered this morning. The Large 64 oz. Bottle & 48 oz. Pot & Lid Set & the Bottle Bag & some 12oz. Steel containers & Bottle Hanger with some Burlap Bags & a couple other container bags. Looking forward to getting them & trying them out . Thanks . Great Gear.
I have the 32oz. set. Love it. One addition I did on my own was to get one of the folding grills and cut it down to fit in the side pouch. So now I have the 32oz bottle, 2 of the nesting cups, the stove, and grill all in one kit.
I liked when you were on dual survival tv show more, but it's interesting how you've started manufacturing items for camping uses cooking especially the stacking them aspects really great. I don't own of of your products I would I maybe I backpack camped.
I have pretty much and identical set-up, but I've found that in my Condor bottle pouch, I've been able to store the Pathfinder lid up & into to top of the pouch cover. I press-fit it in and it fits perfectly.
Man you really really think this stuff through!!! I'm still Loving my tea kettle/ coffee pot!!! I can stream vegetables and rice with it!! Blessings and thanks for everything you do for us all 😇
Perfect bag to also put my folding 5" firebox woodstove in at the side pocket. I already had the smaller PF bag and bottle kit but I want this bigger version too.
All good new tools I'm sure but I really enjoyed the videos and commentary in where you love your classes especially the advanced classes where they succeeded and sometimes failed
I'm loving the larger water bottle and the new kettle. both are perfectly designed. The only problem I have is that now you're making me have that itch to get new gear. Been using my mors large and small pots for years now, and now I have that itch to try out your new gear. Lol. Keep up the fantastic vids and products, and best wishes to you and yours.
Dave. Great job on the products. What im on the market for is a bushpot with a screw on, water tight lid similar to a Vargo Bot but more budget minded and with more features suitible for bushcrafters, on top of the features that make it great for thru hiking. Also, if you can figure out how to economically make your products available for us Canadians, youd see a huge spike in sales from our end
Been waiting on this for forever, wish it was shorter and wider, like a shrunk version of the 2 qt, with a dedicated bail, but I'll take it none the less
Always adding to my list of cooking gear I "need" :) - I have a skillet, 64ounce bush pot and a kettle coming in tomorrow, looks like I might have some more stuff to add - lol
Looks solid, especially like it with the gen1 cookkit and the extra cup, giving one two extra containers, also like the volume being the same as the gen1 bottle (as it lets you first use the water from the bottle to cook in your pots and while you eat you can have it 'pre-boil water along side the remainder in the gen1 bottle' and use the water from the bottle to make coffee, then dump the water from the container in the bottle, et presto done). Maybe you should try and come up with a 'build your own kit' type of pricing system? Maybe starting at nothing or the bottle bag and from that adding supplemental items (large bottle, large pot, implement kit (hanger/utensils), gen1 bottle, gen1 cup, alcohol stove, fire kit, maybe it needs a cleaning kit too?) you get a discount for each item on the total price. Seeing it always sucks having to pay the full price for adding supplemental items, while the combination of items has said item clearly lower in price (say adding another gen1 cup to the gen1 cook kit, the second cup feels priced proportionally expensive. And i get why that is, it's basically why i suggest doing the 'build your own kit' with a discount system. (and while i think of this, it might also be something for a 10pc kit system (starting with the dry bag f/e) ... anyways, just something that sprung to mind i thought idd share :)
I just recently bought the 32oz kit and just a heads up to everyone the small solo stove does fit on top of the bottle in the bag and it zips up with wiggle room,my guess probably need one size bigger solo stove for the 64oz bottle. now I'm gonna have to get the new bottle and cup 64oz LOL oh well it's only money,my girlfriend can have the smaller one lol
Honestly... While being a very satisfied customer of the older generation bottle/cup products, I have been staying away from some of the more recent pathfinder products, hoping for something exactly like this! This is spot on for me! The larger carrier has been impressing me for some time. I have the aluminum bush pot (from another company), but always was not satisfied with the lack of versatility for it in a "system". I think this new bushpot, in this size, along with a larger cup, and in the larger carrier is exactly answering my need in a great system. Is there a way to nest the pathfinder bottle stove (not the alcohol stove) into this system? That would be ideal. Thanks Dave... and to all of your family and to all of the pathfinder school.
Dang nice set wish I could swing getting them but monies tight but anyway that's some nice gear and from what I've heard ya won't be disappointed buying Dave's gear he offers
@Dwayne Wallace: You've heard exactly right! I myself have been going thru "hard financial times"for over a year now, but I buy from his store (online) when I can and EVERYTHING I've bought has been outstanding,To this day still performs excellently(And I am BRUTAL to my gear),The customer service at Dave's store is outstanding(For those who complain about "sometimes" the length of delivery-NOT the fault of the Canterbury's. They can't control shipping once your purchase leaves the store, BUT, everything they do is quick and efficient. Personal experience here!) BTW, I bought the Pathfinder Pocket Hunter kit 1 1/2 - 2 yrs ago,(ya might consider it!)and to date the bagged items are several rabbits, several raccoons, lost count of Opossum(LOTS),3 coyote(got REAL lucky)LOTS of squirrel, and ONE deer(I'll NEVER get that lucky again even with God's help,(Buy the 50 lb bands and INSTALL immediately). Point is it's cheap and "with practice" can provide you with lots of meat. Just make sure arrows do NOT have plastic fletchings. USE feathered fletchings for better accuracy That list is just from the last 1- 1 1/2 yrs. Buy when ya can, it's doable!
I like that it all still fits in the orig bottle bag, Glad I waited to buy. Why not go as big as possible and still fit in the original bottle bag? Have'nt seen them on the site yet though..Looking forward to trying them out..
well it's about time. that midget 25oz cup don't get it and neither does only 32oz of water. thumbed up. more new stuff like this needs to be made too plz. thx4vid!
Do the food tins fit in the new 48oz cup? If not that might be a very good idea to make smaller tins that fit inside so you can put the cup right in the food sack with the tins. Thanks for the great videos you do and the great products.
Journal of the yurt was my favorite bunch of vids, I really liked them & found the content so helpful, I hope he falls out with his lady again so he has to live in a yurt down the bottom of the yard & can crank out more amazing vids!! Jokes..
Hello David, hope you are well. Can I ask. From you website, do you send products around the world. The reason I am asking is, I live on the Isle of Man and sometimes we can’t get products delivered. If you can let me know, I would much appreciate it. Many thanks. Craig.🇮🇲🇮🇲🇮🇲
Is there a stove for the 64 oz set? I already got the bottle and nesting cup, but jus looking for a stove that will nest before i order the pouch too. I don't see any on the web site. Also how come my cup and lid don't have holes/slots for the the spreader i got. The spreader is awesome.
Hi there. Are the new bottle & pot listed on your website yet? Went to purchase them & couldn't find them. Thanks for all the great gear. I have all but these last 2 items. Everything is great
i love my 32oz. bottle with 25oz. nesting cup, & this new bigger nesting combo is very tempting, but i have to ask which utensil you find works well to cook with such a tall container?
+wildernessoutfitters Absolutely brilliant kit. I love the versatility of the products. One big question to Dave? The bushcraft coat or smock you're wearing in the video. Any chance you can name drop and where you got it? Thanks
yeh hello from NewZealand ,I'm looking at your website for this 64oz bottle full kit but all I can seem to find is the 32 oz kit, does anyone have a link to the 64oz cooking kit please?thank you kindly.
My cup rusted after the second or third use. But I think it's on me so I'm just gonna order another one. They're already affordable on top of your discount you have going on now!
