This was so cool to go to in person. I went there this year in January on a school trip. If you're visiting Animal Kingdom then I really reccomend going to see this. It's really immersive, the singers are amazing and the puppets are really well made.
It is a great show. We've taken our daughter to this show multiple times. This year they added the tumble monkeys and the flying bird part. We created a short video for kids with some of the highlights. You can see it here -> ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AjRt_GND7DQ.html
Everyone does. This is for safety reasons and following current guidelines. Be patient. I'll bet it goes back to the full show you love as restrictions lift. Right now? Every performer is socially distanced for safety.
Thank you for saying it! I understand social distancing, but the tumble monkeys even helped assemble the set in such a fluid way, I don't see why they had to eliminate them entirely. Nix the acrobatics, or even have just one do that part! They also had so much personality in their mannerisms and the banter with Timon is so funny as well. The show is missing so much without them! Also, they've gotten rid of the fog and some of the intense lighting effects. Of course the fog probably has something to do with covid, but the lighting? It also doesn't feel the same without the birds even just being able to dance together. I know there's nothing to be done about that, I just had to get it off my chest. That part makes me emotional... lol. It's still great but I'm an all or nothing type. Also, It's almost as long as the old production and they cut out quite a bit... might drag on for the kiddos.
@@chrinaboehler5609 I love your enthusiasm for the show! Maybe I can help you a little with the reasoning that might possibly have to do with the execution? 1. Tumble Monkeys- Currently the show is following safety guidelines. If you look at the amount of performers on stage? You'll notice they're 6ft apart at all times...during the entire show. Adding just one more performer begins throwing off a lot of spacing during performance. There is a lot that goes into utilizing the trampoline that probably just didn't work with current guidelines. Having a maskless performer bouncing in the air could've posed a safety issue. Sadly...most efficient solution? Nix the Monkeys. I'm sure they'll bring them back as rules regarding covid begin to lift. 2. The fog is gone probably as a safety issue so that particles of covid aren't carried with it since no one has any masks on. It doesn't appear that lighting has changed much and it's surprising how much the missing fog seems to enhance that lighting. 3. The birds are one of my favorite parts of the show. I'm sure they'll be together in the future and she'll being soaring above us in the near future. 4. Timing. They didn't cut much from the show. I believe there are a few seconds here and there. But if you added back the Tumble Monkeys? It'd be a few seconds shorter (minus the whole pre-show). I also love the show for personal reasons and (bc I have severe adhd) I'm also a all-or-nothing personality. For me? I can't wait to see the full show again... And I have this feeling that the performers can't wait to as well.
Just watched the HKDL version which debuted in 2005, the 2pm showing of today. The HKDL version is a different one, with bilingual dialogues (unlike just in English in WDW) and it retells the story of Lion King through its songs on a slightly different soundtrack. You should also watch that one as well, as it is also amazing. Was not interested in it but was about to give a standing ovation to the performers xd
It's back to normal. Saw this show this week. The Pyro guy was phenomenal. I was trying to find his name because he needs to be doing more shows outside of this
They didnt hold up the woman at the start of the show while the chant was going on. Then the blue bird wasn't spun around on the harness! That was bluebird or whatever she is supposed to be was my favorite part. Any idea why she wasn't spinning around on the harness now?? Scared someone may have an accident??
The entire show is socially distanced. They all maintain 6ft from one another throughout the entire show. Once restrictions begin lifting? I'll be you'll see your favorite part soaring again.
@@TonyLey Yeah, I guess theyd have to be close together for longer than they should be during this pandemic to harness her. Shes so graceful in the air! And holding the woman up at the start, yeah, that makes even more sense
@@tornadoprincess8405 I'd love to know who the bird was when I seen the show back in Sept of 2017, she was spinnin faster than this lovely lady. I had my mouth dropped the entire time she was up there. I could never do that. I'd be passed out haha Why not try to be one of the bluebirds? Surely they have more than one woman as the blue bird
si le va como le fue con adan y eva no quiero ver eso , mejor que no me ame ni haga muchos propositos con su creación que bastante mal le ha ido en ese pape...
