NEW 2021 Elddis Crusader Borealis
The all-new twin-axle Crusader Borealis with its L-shaped lounge, dedicated entertainment centre and 32” TV. The lounge up front converts to a comfortable double bed at night giving the 4 berths. At the rear is a bright and spacious double bedroom, with retractable bed. The Borealis is equipped with a split-style centre washroom configuration, which can be used as an en-suite or family bathroom.

I’m quite biased but I do feel Elddis design and build some of the best looking interiors and layouts on the caravan market. This is a beautiful caravan.

A big thumbs up Katrina and Jules on your review i think you might of wet my wife Jan's appetite to go for a new Caravan as we previously had a Elddis Crusader Aurora back in 2008 and she loves the Crusader brand with its darker than normal window's but this Borealis layout is exactly what will sway her to think about trading in our present Caravan. Good review guy's it's a 10 from us

I think that on that little side shelf that you liked where the mirror is , there could have been a set of sockets , if you wanted to place anything else for the kitchen .

The lounge area as a good size , would you consider it a good idea to have a table that can also double as a coffee table too? What is your preferred interior design of a caravan?

A small fold out table would be a good addition to this lounge. I like a rear washroom as it opens up the caravan to make it feel more spacious, but everyone likes different layouts. I liked this layout as there was a good amount of floor space throughout the caravan. 😊

When you review a caravan that has a bolster for the bed please show a photo of it in place so we can see how much room is available in the bedroom...I suspect once it's in place there will be no room between the end of the bed and the sliding door... other wise a great review as always!!.😎💕🇬🇧🇺🇦

I do love your channel and the guided tour of the caravans are fantastic. However, I do find it confusing when you state the length in meters but the width in feet.

Hi Dee, thank you, that comes from many sites working in metres for pitch length and the industry selling caravans as 8ft wide and under. Many people will know their measurements this way, I wouldn’t have known our caravan length in feet if I think about it. In my latest review of the Lusso I have used feet too for the length. I will try to use feet as well in the future, sometimes there are so many facts and figures to remember it can become confusing when I am reviewing three caravans in a row. @@HereWeTow ah yes of course that makes sense! I am yet to experience that on touring sites. My wife and I lived full time in caravans for almost a decade but now we have children would love to go touring when we get another caravan. Where I used to work for Roma building caravans we used the more traditional and probably outdated feet for length. Just something I have to get used to soon I suppose haha. with a nose weight of 120kg, is this a special hitch? i thought the alko hitches had a max value of 100kg.

No Matthew, good question, the Alko 3004 has a noseweight limit of 150kg. Most manufacturers are well below that for the balance of the caravan and also to match more tow cars. Many tow cars have a limit of under 100kg which would restrict what you could tow with. Thanks for watching 😊 Karina

You mention the huge sunroof, does this make the van seem cooler at night ? is it well insulated so that its not allowing cool air in and heat out ?

We have this sunroof in ours and it doesn’t loose any heat, the caravan is very cosy, stays warm and it’s a great source of light during the day.

All the windows are double glazed and to keep heat in you can close the blinds. I don’t think the sunroof would be responsible for any great heat loss when you consider the size of the front windows. Thank you for watching and asking a good question 😊 Karina

When you visit or contact caravan companies , do they get to see your videos of you reviewing previous vans? How do you introduce yourselves to them and what is it that leads them then to give you permission to film and review their caravans?

Sometimes they know who we are and have seen our content. They tend to be more open to letting us film as they know how we do the reviews. I generally send an email and ask if we can film. Quite often I get no response at all, I take that as a no. Many dealerships are cautious of digital media and certainly opening themselves up to allowing people to film. 😊 Karina

I really enjoy your way of reviewing , cos you see it from your use of a caravan. Really great walk round from you both. I’d like to see Jules have some input from a mans perspective. We are Elldis at the minute 2019, but as a bloke, I feel the sink is pretty useless. Men that are built like Jules would probably agree.
