I'm not a huge Honda fan but they really hit the nail in the head on this update. Yamaha, take some notes please. If they made a black edition with the red tank I might be inclined to replace my '16 XSR 900...
I loved the tri color of the previous year, but this new all black is downright sexy. That's a bike you want to own and don't even need to ride it to have your money's worth!
Like the update. The black one looks stunning. All this connectivity and dash faff leaves me cold though, but I guess that's because I'm old. And I still wouldn't spend a shed load of money for a 150+ mph bike when most roads I use are being lowered to 50mph! It was almost impossible to keep to limits on my bandit, on something powerful and smooth you would spend your life looking at the dash or risk going double the limit everywhere!
There was one thing... One little design aspect on the older version that made me love this motorbike... There was a silver stripe between the fuel tank and the seat area... And I don't understand why they took that out...
Love the revised looks and wheels! Imagine that red fuel tank on a black edition bike though 😍. No cruise control is a bummer, but other than that it's a great revision.
The all black version looks very nice. However, I'm looking forward to the new Tuono 660 as I don't need 140hp but like the power delivery of a twin...
Hard choice on the colors, both are stunning. I think I’d go with the Honda Red, really nice color, stands out and I bet it looks amazing with sun shining on it. The new color TFT is a nice upgrade for sure! Great video!
Good attention to detail on the Black model. Specs of machine aluminum done well. Breaks it up a little bit, but the majority of it being black... looks great.
@@howardgraff4084 a few very small carefully placed white leds as to not look ghetto and I think you'll be ok. That black just looks right on this bike. The red is sharp as well. Good riding gear with some reflective accents will help as well.
Very nice 👍. When I saw the teaser I thought that they'd made a big mistake with the headlight, it actually looks pretty good. As someone mentioned that red tank on the black edition would be awesome.
Really great looking bike, especially the red for me. I love the quality and design of the components themselves and I’ve always been a fan of chrome down pipes, one of the things that mesmerise me as on the CBX 6 cylinder. Thanks for sharing these details. Regards, Bob M. South Wales
I've got a cb1300s...had for 11 years. Lovely bike but downpipes are stainless steel. If I go out on a wet day takes me hours to clean them.....must have lost years of my life polishing those rascals. I thought chrome would be a lot better? I noted the cb1100 changed to chrome after first year.
@@BikesDrones mine is red and white one. A lovely comfy bike with loads of torque. Bought from guy in Falkirk at 9 months old with 600 on clock. Not even had first service. Done 20000 now but still looks like new.
Dark mode in any electronic screen looks nicer and is easier on the eyes I was a fan of this bike before I think this is a marked improvement on an already superlative motorcycle.
I agree with Niranjan : headlight is definitely picked up at MV Agusta's. To be honest , I preferred the round version . Black edition is my favourite !!! Like it so much that I'm thinking of switching my Africa Twin for it ...
My brother is a big fan of Honda cars and motorcycles..From MBX125,Raider135,NSR250SP,CBR400RR,Super4 400,Hornet600,CBR929RR,CBR1100XX,CBR1000RR,CB650F and now eyeing the new X-ADV750..Cars that he used before is Civics,CRX,Citys,Type-R,Accord Euro R,Odyssey and now CRV Turbo AWD.
Now honda have really made this bike even more of better buy the biggest gripe for me was that lcd display but the tft is just a bliss that headline really uplifts its looks even more overall a great upgrade
The Trident is meant to compete with bikes like the cb 650 r. At the cb 1000 r you'd be looking at the street and speed triple. Twins and triples traditionally deliver more low and mid range torque.
initialy i purchased the 650r and i end up returning it to the deler and geting myself the 1000r 2022 , I was planing for black edition but they had a red one available and once they took it out and put it near a test ride black edition in the sun the red one had my heart :) Maybee because the black edition was a test ride and used not so sparkling anymore and mine brand new but both compared i do not know red was for me and i love it
with the capabilities here and the price, the fact that it doesn't come standard is holding me back and making me compare it to the MT09 SP. What simply blows my mind is that looking at the previous model and from what I can see for this one, there is no OEM cruise control module from Honda...WHY?!
Look at the thumbnail of Motobob's 2020 Rocket 3, review, that bike does look 'badass' , note , they also did something with the rims, that helps them stand out , as they should , imv. The only thing I would do to improve it's look, it design it with exhaust on both sides of the bike, you'll all notice that bikes with right side only exhaust are invariably presented with the primary picture being of the right side, not the left.
Black Edition. 1. Remove that ugly rear wheel hugging number plate holder and replace with high quality brand aftermarket black bracket with small black backed show plate tucked under the seat, 2.Black round shape quality brand aftermarket bar end mirrors. 3. Find some high quality aftermarket anodized accessories such as engine casing protectors and sliders etc and fit those. 4. Find out if akrapovic make a performance silencer and fit that. It would be cool if they worked with Honda to make a blacked out silencer to match the colour scheme.
So I find myself thinking, what I don't really want is a black edition, what I really want is a CBR1000. Not a FireBlade, but a CBR1000, like a CBR650. And for someone at Honda to realise they probably need a real UI designer to code their dash displays. Their first job can be hanging the current programmers upsidedown by their toenails for a few days in front of a sign in Japanese that reads, "Thou shalt not attempt to mimic textures or shading in LCD displays for instrument panels". The sign, would, of course, be upsidedown too, just to make a point if you're going to do something, do it properly.
Adjustable seat height would be good to drop it down from 830 to 800 for shorter riders. Would think about swapping my 1200 Monster for one if this was an option.
Wow..! Cannot wait for the release of this bike.. For sure the Black Edition for me!! A much better looking bike now.. Just hope more of an adjustable seat..
I prefer the 2019 design. I dont like the new headlights or the dash. The previous model looks more retro n cool! They could have atleast put cruise control on this model which is more beneficial for the rider than having bluetooth controls
Like GW owners were disappointed with the omission of Android connectivity up until recently, I’m gutted that I won’t be able to pair my iPhone to the new CB1000R 🤦🏻😢
That is a tough decision. I like them both. The black one looks like straight out of the Batman cave. While the red one looks like "don't fool around with me" . . .
IILike the look of the new model. Regarding the swing arm mounted number plate holders. I think they look pretty cool because, as you say, it tidies up the rear end nicely, although I've heard several reports of it making it very difficult to adjust the chain - something most of us do regularly. i don't know if that's the case with this bike but, before I bought one I would, definitely, have to check that out.
Hopefully they improved the light output on that new headlight, I'm highly disappointed in my 19's headlight, It'd be nice to have self cancelling turn signals and cruise control, My last bike was a 2011 Victory Hammer and it came standard with self canceling signals so I'm kinda surprised that technology hasn't caught on to other manufacturers
Fabulous looking 'black edition' bike spoiled by the enormous can. Aftermarket version to complete the awesome looks of this bike ? Er, yes, I definitely would.
Lovely looking machine. Probably the best looking japanese naked apart from the Kawasaki Z900rs. Yamaha take notice. The red version is my favourite. Only downside is the up and down quickshifter which should be fitted as standard for the price.
Probably the best looking street bike series there is definitely up there with the european bikes in terms of looks. Waiting for cb300r hope they bring out a black version too
