Got me a Amok Draumr last year, and I must say I've not slept that good in the outdoors before. My back don't like tent that much anymore, but the Amok is perfect. Used it up and down Sweden last year on my way to Nordkapp. (on and off TET) Had so many memorable evenings when camping, although alone when driving Sweden. (Met up with friends driving Norway up). Favourite place was by a river near Jokkmokk on my way north. Evening sun when set camp, knew there will be rain so set up an extra tarp that even fit my bike :-) A good meal and some cold Norrlands Guld, then the weather can just come. Some thunder in the distance and the lovely sound of rain drops on the tarp. I don't think life can get better. Cheers from South Norway.

Thanks for telling us about your experiences! I can cope with that feeling and good quality sleep. There is no better places to stay for the night than in the wild nature. One more thing that is positive with hammock is that there is no condense like it could be in tents in some conditions. Hope Yiu will have grrar times at the trails this year as well. South Norway, sounds close to where I live then 🙌

Hi JD, it is! I easily stuff my mc jacket and pants in the side pockets if needed, otherwise I hang them in the straps. Much appreciated to have yiu along, thanks!

Thanks Klas! A wise friend just put it like "The sound of silence has never been this important" in a recent video. I would put it like The sound of nature has never been so important In my life. Great micro adventures is just so refreshing, let you breathe, it's like therapy or just boost energy into your soul. The beautiful nature that we have le luxury to access can't be taken for granted. So pleasant to hang out there for just a moment!

Wonderful to hear that Per-Arne! I used the Draumr UL on all overnighters outdoor last year, just to test it thoroughly to see if it has any draw backs. I was very impressed and loved the see thru effect. It felt as robust as one could could hope for with the ultra light material. The 5.0 is the flag ship though, robust and super comfortable. Happy trails P-A!

Between you and Thomas running around the Nordic country side extolling the advantages of hammock camping, I was left with no choice but to buy the Amok Draumr 5.0 last season (green XL model) and give it a run here in the west coast of Canada. Used it on one moto trip. I think I set it up too high, so your set up video here was a good helpful reminder, and the 30 degrees for the straps...the Amok makes us look like a nice sausage roll up to the local bear population. This years special edition green is only slightly lighter in color than the green model I bought last year. The special edition yellow looks interesting, but if I had to buy one tomorrow, I'd probably do the same, dark green model. Just as I was thinking it isn't a Mattias video without some meat cooking you mentioned it near the end - lol!

I really like that green color that was new last year. I have a standard Draumr that has the old green much darker than yours, the new ones looks better. The Yellow was actually a available color at the 3.0 version as well, looks rather similar to the new yellow. A friend have one of these. I also have a blue XL and that one is really good looking as well. Great thing is that the whole family are using the hammocks on hikes. The UL is ofc a "secret weapon" that I prioritized to camp with last year just to see if it up to the task. Sausage roll 😂😂🙌, that was fun and true. After sharing a bottle of whisky, it could get really interesting to get into the sleeping bag and the into the hammock 👀🤠🙈😂. Cheers Shayne!

@@Braapncamp Hahaha! - well I wouldn't say it was a full bottle, maybe half - and with the hammock being set too high, it was very interesting getting in and out! If I was any shorter than 6'3" it would have been a circus act! Cheers my friend.

I could imagine, these are cool and appeals to any outdoor minded. A tent of good quality should always be the base in hikers base gear though. In our environment the Amok Draumr gives alot of opportunities to set a comfy camp for the night or just to chill with a beautiful view. Stay Wild!

Nice video. Uddevalla? I think Lindblomma is Linden flower in english. It is said that linden flower tea is good to drink for colds, sore throats, bronchitis and pneumonia. I haven't used any hammock yet, but I think Amok Draumr will be the choise if I need to skip the tent in the future (getting old). Keep posting.

Thanks! Thats correct, Byfjorden and Havstensfjorden is what we see in the video. Hammocking is a great alternative. Better than hotell 😁🙌

It is a very nice system for our vast woodlands. No need too search for an even spot on ground and very comfy. Funny thing is thatvi'm watching your video on feels for the trangia burner in this moment. Very interesting ☝️😁🙌🔥🔥🔥

@@Braapncamp Don’t say that, you may not have tested real slivo, home made 🤔I have some rocket fuel made from pure fruit, no sugar added. I have to visit you and bring a bottle and some painkillers 😂

A fantastic hammock system and a great colour, love the quick and easy setup. Is it as easy to pack away as it is to setup?

Thanks! It is very quick to stuff back in the bags. I always store the tarp, matress and hammock in their stuff bags when stored. During a trip if they are dry i only stuff the tarp. The hammock and matress could just be rolled and fills up the packpack/luggage system space great at are robust to pack like that. It keeps the set up and pack down time to a minimum. With that said It only takes like 3 min longer to stuff It organized in the stuff bags that have generous volume for ease to stuff.

The UL is amazing, I really like the low weight and lower volume. The see thru effekt is cool especially when sun rises and there is a view.

Thanks! The Hennesey hammocks are cool and one of the classic brands. Well thought out and functional. I have used conventional hammocks for 10 years before I tipped over to Amok. There are some nice hammocks and tents in my stash of outdoor gear 😁🙌.

Hi, the Yellow color was a limited edition like the light green in this video. In the description there are links to Amokequipment whisky is the only site where you can buy these Amok hammocks. Amokequipment does not use retailers. Hope you get one of the yellow limited edition hammocks and Stay Wild!

Gillar dina filmer skapt och man sitter och längtar sig ut så fort man ser dom. En undran, när du skapar dina filmer har du tänkt ut en tanke/manus i förväg som du då följer när du filmar? Vad är största utmaningen med skapandet av dina filmer?

Tack! Jag är väldigt spontan. Jag kan ha en uppfattning vad jag vill göra och visa och så fixar jag till det. För att ta det till nästa nivå så måste man göra manus. Jag glömmer en del i mina tankar när jag väl är ute. En utmaning är språket. Jag använder engelska eller svengelska för att vissa av ämnena passar en internationell publik i de communities som finns i ämnet. Andra delar, t.ex. husbilsvideos skulle göra sig bäst på svenska. Det blir även mer dynamiskt eller levande på eget språk. Någon video pratar jag inte alls på och det är riktigt bekvämt och veterligt mer snabbarbetat. Folk gillar det med on det handlar om uteliv. En tanke är att splitta kanalen då det är knepigt att ha olika ämnen i en kanal. Jag uppskattar den hör typen av kommentarer och frågor väldigt mycket!

@@Braapncamp Jag är själv rätt ny och söker motivation till att ta det till nästa nivå. Första året så löpte det på men sista filmerna insåg jag att det var samma innehåll som tidigare. Jag tycker att utmaningen är att göra det så pass enkelt och intressant så att inte själva "aktiviteten" känns tråkig pga alla vinklar man ska filma från osv. Sen är det utmanande att vara själv då man ska rigga allt, filma, rigga om, film. Har funderat på att göra någon film utan snack men då krävs ju lite bättre kvalitet på ljudet runt omkring. Engelska ser man ju många som kör i för att få det mer gångbart för fler tittare.

@@Turbotouring Ja det är ju den största utmaningen, att ha kul medan man är ute och att inte själva målet blir upptaget av filmandet. Det är viktigt att ha det med sig. Blir man mer van så gör man det hela smartare tror jag och då tar det mindre tid av en. Det är dock svårt att undvika, så man måste vara intresserad av fotograferandet i sig självt. Språkmässigt så är det inte längre någon större meni g med att försöka vara internationell, jämför man med förr när man började med detta så var det färre användare och kreatörer. Idag har det exploderat så det blir bra spridning även på nationell nivå då bättre om det är på hemspråk.

I just Amok Draumr fungerar det, jag vänder mig på mage ibland med. I en vanlig "gathered end" hammock så fungerar det inte utan att vara obekvämt. Ett bekvämt sätt att sova ute på, givetvis tycker jag at man skall ha ett bra tält som bas i friluftsutrustningen, jag har flera, men har inte tältat sedan jag skaffade en Amok första gången. Innan hade jag en vanlig hammock och sov i på mc-resor men valde då tält ofta också. Man får tänka till hur det ser ut på den resa man gör och var man tänkt sova på nätterna.

@@Braapncamp Det som tilltalar mig med hammocken är platsen man kan spara till annat ist för ett tält. Jag är inne på mitt 3dje tält nu på ett år, tror jag har hittat rätt nu 🙂 Köpte ett tält med stor absid där jag gillar att ha min mosko väskor. Det blir lite svårare med en hammock. Men jag känner att jag måste testa hammock någon gång iaf 👍
