Mike, it would be good to rate the ultra limited, gold wing, big boxer BMW, and the Pursuit. Compare the base of each. But include discussion of typical maintenance requirements as well as upgrades like stereo and exhaust. Since it’s impossible to ride 4 bikes at once… I’m available anytime… 😂
I have to admit, I love this bike. I was never a favor of the HD type bikes, but this one is nailing it. At the moment, it's too late for me because I own 2020 Goldwing DCT Tour, but you never know. Indian just doing it the right way. They bring everything a touring bike should have and older style looks and a taste of modern. I love the touch screen with gloves function. Boy, I am afraid to stop at my local dealer. Super job, guys.
I ride a 2019 RG Special and love it. But, Harley has to add more tech and that Rev Max engine if they want to compete. The lack of a dealer network scares me about Indian, but the bike is nice.
Just since the new Polaris/Indian lineup harley has made some leaps forward. Competition is good for enthusiasts. Im pissed at HD for the used carlot mentality at my local dealer leaving me feeling like I got screwed again on my 7th purchase at that same hd dealer. I realize they are in business for proffit.... but when the customer walks away feeling stupid 7 times? Indian next time!
I would love the video comparing the 4 bikes. I’m in the market for a bike right now. I won’t consider the BMW, but I would consider the other 3. I have dealerships for the other 3 within 17 miles of my home. The closest BMW dealership to my home is over 50 miles away. Convenience means something to me.
I was really excited to see the electronically adjustable suspension. This feature might be what pushes me over the top for trading in my 2019 Roadmaster. My air ride system is comfortable but the ease and infinite adjustability of the Pursuit's suspension system is alluring.
Google is not supporting Android Auto for motorcycles anymore. I purchased an OTTOCAST Wireless Android Auto Car Adapter U2-X Pro, and it works very well with the Pursuit.
I got rid of my CVO Harley-Davidson in 2018 for a new Honda Goldwing DCT Tour with liquid cooling, electronic suspension preload, adjustable windscreen, heated grips, heated seats, Apple Car Play, and LED lights by default. Now, Indian has upped their game and added all of the things I love on my Goldwing, except Indian doesn't have a DCT transmission, Android Auto, reverse or a double wishbone suspension. Also the engine rating for the new Goldwing is 125 hp and 125 lb tq according to specs. Honda has had all of these features since 2018.
I don't believe any of the other bikes have the reliability of the goldwing. The goldwing needs bigger bags other than that I believe it's the best bike out there. Reliability and cost.
I've owned 2 recent (15 & 17) Roadmasters and absolutely loved every minute with them. With all the added technology & bits Polaris is adding, why in the world can't they add Sirius radio option?
No matter what everyones taste is. GW will always win in the end. But bikes are like wife's, the reason you choosed her is YOUR taste and nobody else. Ride, have fun 😁
I’m back in the market for a big touring bike. Love your reviews of all bikes. Yes Yes Yes, do a video of all the big bikes. I have a BMW K1600B which ai love but want that big Bagger again
I been working on it but getting my hands on a new Goldwing has been tough, I have ridden the others but that has held me from doing a comparison video.
Hi. Thanks for the review. I ordered a pursuit Darkhorse premium in red/black four hours after the model was announced. I already own a chieftain, which I love and can hardly wait for this bike to arrive. Just a quick note: the new electric preload suspension is not available as an upgrade on challengers made before 2022. This is because these bikes don’t have the physical data channels available to run the shock. You can see this on the Indian website.
@@NewBikeMikeChannel thanks for the kind wishes. If you go to the Indian website and look under accessories (I think) you’ll see the new suspension. Then take a look at fitment and you’ll see that it’s only eligible on 2022 challengers and later. I asked my local dealer why and they explained the lack of data channels to me, which makes sense. I mean, you can flash the firmware in the infotainment system, but there wouldn’t be any physical data channels for a feature that didn’t exist in 2020 or 2021.
Might as well buy a Goldwing... At least you don't have to worry about a company that could change it's focus and direction and pull the rug out from under you ... Just like they did to Victory owners... Yep, I went there... 'Nuff said!!!...
Nice job as always Mike. I like to keep on top of any cruiser news mainly to see how the brands are comparing currently, so your idea to throw all the baggers in sounds good to me. Yeah I think the auto preload will eventually become standard on all these pricey techy tourers - I get the feeling that wrenching and turning knobs isn't "premium" enough for their buyers!
Thanks and I hope it does become more available, fact is I am bad for not wanting to adjust for weekends when I’m 2 up then change it before Monday morning when I would ride solo to work. I would just leave it set for 2up most of the time…
It's an Indian challenger with a trunk and lowers it's not a new model they should have called it to challenge your premium Don't forget what Polaris did to all the victory owners
Old Suzukis had a powered suspension old news .I do not know what they got way from it probably greed less profit for them lol. When your paying 40 grand and up for a touring bike it should come standard.
@@davidbolgiano7046 I don't think you would find it cramped and with Highway bars you could add highway pegs to stretch out more when needed. Best thing you can do is find a challenger or pursuit to sit on,
Wow plenty of ugly colors to choose from lol. Bring back pearl white and jade maybe two tone .Get rid of the boring flat colors only the souless like those.
