Piano black is the Corinthian Leather of the new millenium. Nothing more annoying than interior surfaces that scratch easily and blind the driver with the sun at the right angle. I thought we learned by now!

Thanks for a first video on the new Corolla Cross at your dealership!! It's a very interesting vehicle! The interior space in the back is limited. But it's even less space on the AWD versions. So hopefully you'll do a video comparing the FWD to the AWD. (The rear cargo floor is raised on the AWD to make room for the different style suspension setup.)

Jeff, I refused to believe the Corolla Cross was real until I saw your official video. Hopefully the 45 mpg Corolla Cross Hybrid and the 60 mpg Yaris Cross Hybrid are not far off.

I think there will be a 2023 Corolla Cross Hybrid, but I still think it's going to be the 1.8 liter like the Corolla Hybrid, just as it is in other markets, not the 2.0 liter from the Lexus UX. 😉

@@toronado455 It does not have the 1.8 non-hybrid engine sold overseas and the Cross is not limited to FWD like it is overseas. The 2.0 Hybrid system already represents a compromise from the 2.5 system it ought to have at this price point.

As much as I despise SUVs, we just ordered an XLE in Cypress Green for my wife (our 2012 Mazda5 with 215k miles, is starting to incur expensive repairs. It was a FANTASTIC car though). The practicality, predicted reliability, and roomy backseats for our kids were too tempting to pass up. We purchased from YOUR dealership. Great experience!

Top Trim-Fully Loaded around $30,000-$32,000 I'm not sure if later in the video if this was already done but I'm dying to see any auto journalist have the Cross, CHR and Rav4 parked side by side to give a visual comparison as oppose to showing animated pictures with numbers. My pricing prediction was spot on lol

$400 for some floor mats…..you can get some nice Husky l mats cheaper. $419 for some clear vinyl over the hood😱 Those add on are a rip off…..never get them with your purchase.

They don't give you an option. They come that way and you pay for it. I never understood delivery charge. They want to sell you car but they want you to pay for them to bring it to your dealer so that you can purchase the product they want to sell...

@@tamascsirik9509 Yes, this Corolla Cross is certainly bigger than the Yaris Cross but I believe the Yaris Cross would compete very well with other small CUVs in this market. The Lexus UX, already on sale in Europe and North America, has virtually identical interior dimensions to this Corolla Cross. Sit inside a UX to see if the Corolla Cross really meets your needs. I suspect the European version of the Corolla Touring Sports actually offers more leg room in the back seat than this Cross.

@@rightlanehog3151 Sadly with the Lexus UX the boot space is really small. I dont know how they made it signiicantly smaller then the already tight Toyota CHR. Would have considered the UX otherwise. Corolla Cross looks like the perfect size, I just hope the hybrid wont be the 1.8 as I think it would be underpowered for this car size.

Thnx Jeff. If u pop the headrest off the back left seat/it'll go down. I thot $32,000. I'd like to see top trim be just under $30,000 w/AWD OTD. I have a friend leaning toward Chevy Trax. Or give a max discount for 1st time buyers. Needs to be tons cheaper than RAV4. It's all about the Benjamin. I bleed Toyota, hard for me to sell on my friends when they can't afford it. I keep tryn!😁

Looks like it doesn’t have a yellow turn signal on the back side. I have a 2021 Rav4 with the roof rails leaking problem, this new Corolla Cross has the same design. Instead of bolting it down, it uses push in plastic pins with paper thin washers. Has this well known problems been fixed ?

My dad still has the 2010 model before the latest refresh. It has a 4cylinder which was eliminated after the refresh. Hopefully in the next generation they’ll offer a hybrid.

I figured the top trim level was probably going to between $32,000-$34,000. I heard they are not making this in hybrid which I don't understand why. I think they really need to make this into a hybrid also. The mileage it would get I think would be really good. I do really like that new Blue Crush color. I would like to see this color choice replace the Blue Flame they have now. I think this blue crush color would look really nice on the XSE model with the black roof and black rims.

no matter which toyota dealer you go to there will be a delivery charge, a "market adjustment" charge, and then of course the taxes/paper work fees. Then they will most likely ask you if want an extended 7 year warranty. So prepare to pay $8,000+ over msrp.

Jeff: Independent rear suspension ONLY on the AWD version; disappointed that there are no amber rear turn indicators (for safety purposes) BUT, over-all, a nice small SUV. It will be interesting when (1) you give it a test drive and tell us what you think and (2) it's compared to the Mazda, Subaru, Kia etc. Thanks for the overview!

It’s a slightly smaller, cheaper option than RAV4. Since society as a whole is moving toward more SUV sales, it’s a good idea to make an SUV version of Corolla. They might get rid of the Corolla Sedan down the line if SUV sales continue to climb and Corolla Cross sales better than sedan.
