Soarin' Over California is better for these 6 reasons: 1. It fits the park's theme which is Disney's CALIFORNIA Adventure. 2. It has way more turns and also moves a lot more since there was more movement in the camera work. 3. It looks like it was filmed during summer since all of the location footages have much brighter sunlight. Soarin' Around The World looks like it was filmed during winter since al of the location footages don't have sunlight that is as bright as in Soarin' Over California. 4. It has its own loop music for whenever you are waiting for the ride to start after you sit down. Soarin' Around The World's loading audio is just absolutely nothing but the sounds of howling wind. 5. Better smells which also includes the oranges. 6. Better and louder music
Somehow both relaxing and thrilling at the same time. I love this ride. I especially love how they include the real Matterhorn and the real castle that inspired the Disney one!
I've been on Soarin Around The World at Disneyland! It was the best ride I went on! When you're on that ride, it feels like you're actually flying around the world!
Soarin around the world makes sense thematically for Epcot, but for a park that's specifically themed to California--including the queue for this ride--the original California version is a better fit. IMO Soarin over California should be the default film here with Soarin Around the World being the 'special' version that gets played seasonally.
