I keep finding invincible 2's second hand because it's the best running shoe I've ever had. I just picked up some 3's for $60 🎉 I hope I like them. I do feel like they are going away from that original cool and fun crunchy experience. I'll definitely have to give the new balances you mentioned a try
Great list! Judging from the photo, the Peg Turbo will only feature ZoomX, which I'm sure many people will dig, but not me, personally. Although I love this foam, I think the magic of the V1 and V2 was the dual foam layout, so I'm hoping the V4 will feature a layer of something else beneath the ZoomX, at this point, even a thin layer of generic EVA would do, IMO. Yeah, I’m curious about the midsole as well. Maybe I stared at the photo too long, but the bottom “layer” almost looks like a different color. Maybe it’s a shadow or just the paint coating on the foam, but maybe it’s React or something. We’ll see! Thanks for watching!
I've only been running for less than a year at this point but I've only run in Brooks Adrenaline GTS 22s & 23s and Hoka Clifton 9s. The foam in the Hokas compressed too much when I got up to 7 miles or more and started chewing into my ankle. I went back to the Adrenalines, and I'm running pretty well in them. I got 800 miles out of my first pair.
I CLEARLY see a Tempo Next% V2, which I'm hoping they don't ruin....and that they release before I wear out my 3rd pair (still in the box) of Tempo Next% V1's.
No clue! I know Nike was putting a little point on the back of a lot of their shoes and claimed it was more aerodynamic. Perhaps this is for stability?
On the outsole wear - I have this problem a lot. I don’t know if I drag my feet or what but I’m really hard on the toe off area. Some shoes like all Brooks and Endorphin Speed 3 use a very soft rubber outsole where I have a hole before 150 miles. So I use Shoe Goo to protect that area so I can get a reasonable amount of miles from the shoe. It’s under $10 for a tube which is a good investment compared to new shoes.
Peg Turbo 2 outsole was fine. Maybe even great. Mine held up really well. The next nature wasn’t a bad shoe it just wasn’t a Turbo. If they didn’t call it a Turbo people wouldn’t have the same thoughts about the shoe. They overpromised by naming it Turbo
I could only get about 100 miles before I wore through the outsole, but that’s probably a result of my foot strike. I’ll forever be salty about the Next Nature lol. NOT a Turbo!
Yeah, they’re creeping up and up. I’ve managed to find a lot of deals, especially when I buy a second pair of a shoe I like after getting as many miles as I can out of the first.
