I have on order a White Forester Sport & expect delivery later this summer. I still own a 2011 Outback 2.5L. & will give it to my daughter once I get the Forester. I ordered the Sport model because of nice bronze accents & 19" rims. My main reason for getting another Subi ( apart from the newer tech features) is because of the sense of safety & confidence when having to drive under extreme conditions such as heavy rainstorms or sudden snow storms. I've never felt as secure when driving other makes that i've owned in the past.

Thanks for the review. I wonder if you considered using a gimbal. Very noticeable in the beginning when you were walking around the car.

I had a $300 gimbal for my canon t6i - then switched over to using a gopro hero 10. The cinematic I use is filmed with the gopro and DJI drone. I put about 15 to 20 hours a week into my channel and I work a full time job. So honestly one day I want to upgrade to a 4k camera like a Sony A7 and gimbal - but I don't have the time right now or the money haha 😅 appreciate you watching

Great review. Was particularly impressed by the reduced noise level. One question: is the Blindspot monitor warning light just a little light on the mirror itself or is it a wider swath light on the plastic mirror surround?

The acceleration with adaptive cruise control engaged is adjustable in the settings. Also, ventilated seats are included on the top Touring trim.

Great review brother! In your opinion, how was the build quality? I know when there’s an all new redesign of a vehicle, sometimes the first model year may have some quality issues, rattles, creaks, etc. How was the overall build quality and fit and finish?

Yes, I know what the trend is. Most car buyers still prefer a vehicle with a combustion engine. The industry sold the world practical stories about preserving the "quality of the environment" by using an electrically driven vehicle, they forgot to point out that the production of the batteries to drive the electric vehicles pollutes the environment even more than the pollution created by burning fuel. So the "herd" method is not always justified and maybe not at all.

Is there a 3rd power outlet in the glove box? There use to be one in the hatch, one in the center console and one under the radio. Not sure if the 25 lost a power outlet for the wireless charging?

There’s a setting for how it accelerates in adaptive cruise control. There’s 4 choices on how you want it to accelerate. If you set it to dynamic, it accelerates much faster.

These Subaru have great turning radius. It's one of the best in class. 0-60 in 8 seconds is acceptable, imho.

This is a great small suv for the money. Subaru keeps upping their game. I also noticed the doors on our 21 Outback XT Touring really close with a much nicer thunk. Feels more solid & quality. I hope they offer a turbo & hybrid turbo option on the Forester some day.

You forgot to mention about the new thermostat. The TCV from 2019 - 2024 that’s been giving consumers huge issues. Also, the stupid auto off.

Auto Stop/Start is part of the regulations to get to fuel economy levels, and has to be turned off each time. The most current years have seen a revised TCV, which seems to have helped, but who knows as the years roll by?

@@craigster1234 If you want an affordable SUV with those specs, look at the cx-50 with the 2.5T. They don't sell many of them so I suspect that's why pretty much no other manufacturer in this class has a competitor to it.

Much more responsive steering in this new generation release. Dual rack and pinion starting in the new models. From what I’ve seen in other videos, it makes a huge difference.

@@KuyaArbee that depends on your priorities. If you want adults in the third row the 2024 Traverse might be a better choice (with unknown reliability), but otherwise the Ascent won our comparison over Toyota, Honda, Kia/Hyundai and others.

I think they made the later model Subaru's with the option to permanently disable the auto start/stop feature. My brothers 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness has that option. My 2019 Forester, I had to install a disable circuit at the fuse box going to the button.

There will never be another turbo. All auto makers are moving away from that. However, the hybrid is supposed to be much faster.

I played with that some - it makes a difference but still slightly slow at freeway speeds - could be the gearing maybe? CVT is always little quirky IMO for adaptive cruise

@@Meltz1 That is better, and I can see how some people would really like that. It’s definitely more of a premium or luxury look which is something rare for the Subaru brand. Of course that reality isn’t their primary niche anyway. Regardless, it’s still not my taste personally on the exterior, but the interior really repels me. Just way too busy for me and I am already sick of looking at that center of the dash screen after like 10 seconds. Haha! I’m so not a Subaru person 🙃 Probably my least favorite brand.
