Nah fam that boot and bonnet closed too hard... We're in 2024 where soft close boot is standard in high end cars... What is this,a 1997 model citi golf with warn out bootlid shocks 🤦🏽♂️😏🇿🇦 The rear indicators are off... VW is famous for the pulse indicator lights... That weird individual L shaped signal lights are off... Should have been an elongated solid strobe light... Overall... The car is amazing... The engine sound is brutal... As expected... 7 out of 10 for me... Soft close is a whole 3... The indicator lights are neither here nor there but i could easily dock one more point and hand this cars a 6... But I'm leaning towards the idea of pioneering a different look as opposed to the overused single elongated strobe light... Says someone who cannot even afford this car at the moment 😅
That center screen is way too big and ruins the entire car. What an eye sore. That front grill is a mess too! I bet a mint that a bunch of people have issues with stones hitting the radiator and having failures...just like the Porsche 718 twins.
Compared with : 1. Toyota GR Supra/Corolla Hatch 2. Nissan 370z Nismo 3. Hona Civic Type R 4. Hyundai Elantra N Line 5. Ford Mustang Mach 1/Focus RS 6. Mini Cooper JCW 7. Porsche 718 Cayman GTS 8. Renault Apline A110/Clio RS And Others
Got yourself a real eclectic list there, buddy 🤣... Cars ranging from 11 years ago to brand new, from $30k to $100k+, FWD, FRWD, MRWD, AWD, 3cyl turbo, NA V6, NA Flat 6, NA V8, cars that come in auto only, manual only, dual clutches, torque converters, 2 door- 2 seat coupes to 5 door hatchbacks... Who exactly is comparing all these vehicles. Besides you, I mean? 🤣
Lots of the inside materials look very very cheap and made on a budget. Bet the car costs a fortune, no thanks. PLUS Golf R's are far far to common they are everywhere
as a Golf user for years, (mk7r, mk7.5r, mk8r) i sold my mk8r after 4 months. Cheap materials car, PVC is low quality, too much on board noise when u driving, aboslutly Dislike this version. Raise your materials and we can talk again. Since that, never golf again. MK7/7.5R Were the best.
The mk 8 Golf r among other things wasn't a looker , this facelift might have fixed that..........Just changing the headlight design makes a big difference. This would look the dogs as a 3 door.
1) For most Golf buyers, the hatch is one of the main selling points... 2) Not sure what your definition of "almost same money" is, but in the US, the AWD 340 is $15k more than the Golf...
