Front edge looks much better. This is what the current generation should have looked like from the start. The rear is a bit excessive and follows the new accord aesthetic too closely for my taste, but whatever
Honda has been copying Volkswagen and Audi (German) styles more recently with a lot of their cars like the Civic, Accord, and that new electric SUV. They are adding more muscular looks and body styles that are similar to German cars. The Accords body style is legit a copy of an Audi A7 or A8. When they revealed the new generation designs for the Civic and Accord this is exactly what I thought. The previous generations that were running from 2017/2018 definitely had their own unique “Japanese” vehicle looking aesthetics.
I forgot to mention. If you take a look at what Toyota has been doing recently, their new cars have maintained the Japanese car look and body style. Like their Corolla, Camry, RAV4, Highlander, Sequioa, etc all have light shapes and body shapes that have sharp triangular angles that still resemble what Japanese cars look like. Honda is quite literally moving away from that and resembling more of what Volkswagen or Audi vehicles look like. That new Honda EV, the Prolouge I think its name is, is copying a Volkswagen Atlas. I do like the look of new Hondas but don’t say Volkswagen is copying Honda ever, it’s the other way around.
Heres hoping the price of the base Jetta is still around $25k after destination. Those MSRPs keep spiking every year that even the economy compact could get out of control soon!
MK7 has always been a pig, with the R-Line being the only version that looked good. But this is a shocking improvement, given that VW's nose jobs on whichever models generally tend toward the worse. Very clean and mature looking. Kudos, VW.
@@JT-fq2bl Yeah, not a fan - my 2017's controls are far better than the haptic crap in my mom's Arteon. And, in spite of that "floating" screen, it still looks like the damn a/c vents are set too low.
