People are hating the interior & for good reason! Way too many screens, way too large, way too much emphasis on capacitive & touch controls, a lot of glossy & piano black plastics, looks cheap for the price.

What happend to Audi's 5 DNA? where is the strong sholder line and sloping roof? if not the 4 rings emblem and the front grill this could go as any chinese car manufacturer out there. Dont get me wrong. its not bad looking but audi is taking a weird direction with its design IMO.
The Audi 5 series doesn't exist anymore. it's part of the new portfolio strategy. They are cutting models. New Dichotomy is equal numbers are full electric and unequal numbers are combustion cars. The 5 Series Coupe is gone due the before mentioned reasons.
there is no RS5. It's discontinued after 2025. time for you to wake up and realize how bad these decisions are. this S5 doesnt even have brembos in the front

Why audi. I had 6 audi's from A3 to A6 and can't see my self in this car. Looks cheap. I love the lights but the inside reminds me of a Chevy and a etron. Bad job on the front end and rear.
I have the current B9 A5 Sportback. I honestly feel it looks much better than this new A5, plus mine has some actual tactile button controls for the climate control! The front bumper and bonnet on the new A5 is a step back imo
I like the car overall, but the only downside that makes me hesitate is the look of the center console. It has a cheap appearance, and they replaced the gear shifter with a push-button gear selector, which makes it uglier and less appealing to my inner car enthusiast.
Agreed. The ongoing trend of removing shifters and replacing them with little, dweebie switches is contrary to everything that a performance car enthusiast wants. My B9 S4 has a perfect shifter. A true shifter yet compact and high quality feel. Not sure about the feel of that squared off steering wheel while making a complete turn. Flat bottoms are great though.
I'll keep driving my B8.5 RS5 with Akrapovic exhaust thanks. V8, sport diff, proper Quattro, actual gauges and buttons, and looks as good today as it it did 12 years ago.

It would seem most people don't like turning the entire dash into a flat screen a la Tesla but oh well. Give me some tactile feedback for AC, audio, etc please.
Overall ok. But the side view is kind of boring. And the doors now have frames. It seems like they took the cool A5 and combined it with the boring A4. And the result is something in between.
The longer wheelbase, slightly more normal size doors, and the noticeable increase in rear passenger leg room might make me hold off on getting a B9.5 S5 Sportback and grab one of these in a few more years wow!
The car looks much better when one sees it in real life. It is much bigger than the previous generation. But the parking lots are not getting any bigger.
Looks good overall but I don’t like climate control touch screen or seating memory touch as well the dash I think the previous one is better than huge screen
With all these huge widescreen displays, more and more car interiors are starting to look the same…if you squint you could hardly tell which car you’re in. I’m not sure how this “big sweeping screen” trend will age.
I assume, since your Chanel description says you are from the US, that this is a US spec S5? The last generation S5, as well as the S4 and S6 are only available as diesel in Europe
It's been a long time I hadn't the chance to define a new car "beautiful": finally! But those rigid lucid plastics in the low part of the cabin are not adequated for an Audi... They don't build them total quality like they used to do.
I do like the thinner tail lights, and the removal of the stereo that looked like it was bolted on as an afterthought. First thing coming out are the rear headrests. BTW, why doesn't the ch name match the tag on the car?
