NEW 2D Modern Sonic Game Using Retro Engine, Amy Rose In Sonic Movie 3 CONFIRMED?! 

I had a feeling she’d be in it. I just hope they do her justice. Nothing against writing teams but I have noticed that they tend to struggle with adapting female characters. Its like they’re afraid to make them feminine or they make them a love interest. I hope Amy still is strong but also loving. That’s basically the core of her character which is love. Not just obsessing over sonic. Perhaps make it to where she saw him briefly in his world before he was sent away and fell for his free like personality. But instead of obsessing over him, she would fall in love with the idea of adventure and heroism.

Looks like this 2D Modern Sonic game keeps resurfacing! Anyways when do you guys think it's actually coming out, if at all? Also what do you think about Amy Rose being in Sonic Movie 3 (insider source)? Lemme know!

I’m glad Sonic Frontiers DLC is manly fleshing out the game as a whole. Hopefully the final set offers interesting fun content. Amy being in Sonic Movie 3 that’s cool though not crazy surprising. Hopefully they keep momentum of expanding the lore in a epic fresh satisfactory way without overblowing. And the new modern 2D Sonic game is exciting. Hopefully there is more then the typical three playable characters just for being nostalgia safe. If it’s a modern 2D experience, that means they have to differ away from being a retro throwback. You can have callbacks, just in a brand new way rather then trying to represent the past primarily. They need to go more ambitious, and have more original in game features. Spice things up like how we have the Rush games. Or ONLY original zones.

Amy is my favorite next to sonic. She’s gotten so much better in recent years, so I have high confidence she’ll be written correctly.

I mean, I’m not surprised she’s coming but I’m hoping they make her character a combination of Boom Amy and Modern Amy. Like, I hope she’s not entirely a simp for Sonic.

Retro Engine huh, so at least the physics won't be an issue, that means all we gotta worry about is level design and rehashing lol.

I think that writting Amy like in the murder of Sonic the Hedgehog is the best because after a long time Amy showed her love for Sonic and she once again called him My Darling Sonic, however, she was not a full simp, just a girl who is in love but has her own things going on and how she is powerful enough to save the day at the end.

Retro Engine never made 2D Modern Sonic game before so this will be interesting i hope it doesn't turn out like Sonic 4 did.

A lot of this is actually a surprise to me. I already predicted that Amy was going to be in the third movie. But I didn't expect another game to come out at all.

In Sonic Media, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, & Amy is seen as the Big 4.

The Retro Engine itself doesn't replicate the Genesis era physics, those have to be manually programmed. What the Retro Engine is is a powerful game engine to create retro style videogames with all the features from old consoles (such as Model 7, sprite scalling etc), with modern features, such as widescreen support. The Retro Engine could be used to make any kind of game with it, not just Sonic games. This 2D Sonic game has been rumored for years at this point, along with the SA1 remake (which aparently WAS in development by a branch of Sega in China but was cancelled for unknown reasons). Being in development by Sonic Team makes me a bit worried. I don't expect a "Sonic 5", but something more in line with other modern 2D Sonic games, like the Advance Trilogy and Rush for the NDS.

I hope the new 2D sonic game has Silver and Blaze in it for playable characters. Silver is my favorite character from the Sonic Universe.

Thank goodness Amy is gonna be in it. I was hoping she would. I want the obsessive Amy back. The one who always chased Sonic around. It'll really bring back memories of Sonic X. Hope they cast her well.

Amy’s voice actor in Sonic prime appears as an actor in the movie (the one who told Tom that children aren’t allowed here) . Maddie’s actor & Tail’s voice actor also requested for Amy to be in the movie. And one of the movie producers also talked about adding female Sonic characters as well. So this make’s sense, the only problem is that there is no source.

There are still ALOT of problems with Sonic including the direction its going. But it should be noted that this era of Sonic isn’t terrible…as of yet. This is arguably the strongest start of a decade in Sonic’s career since the 90’s and SegaSammy is hellbent in doubling down on multimedia. Let’s just hope that it all doesn’t bite the fans in the butt again, the genuine people who enjoy Sonic deserves AT LEAST one good decade(which includes QUALITY). So SegaSammy Japan I’ll only say this one more time: DONT. SCREW. THIS. UP. Also IDW is digging another hole for themselves, Sonic IDW might be ending very soon.

Let's go.😁 I'm so happy to know that Amy is finally going to be in the movies because we desperately need more female representation from the games. And that's not me dissing on Maddie, Rachael, or even Longclaw. Maddie and Rachael were fun and Longclaw served her purpose, but none of those characters originated from the games. I am hoping we get Rouge the bat as well because this is SA2 adaption we're talking about, but Amy is more iconic and well known so its great to know we're gonna see her. I'm also hoping Sonic Movie 3 really delivers, especially after the success of the Mario movie. I saw it and had an absolute blast. I believe Amy first scene will be is, there was a ring portal came from somewhere and a mysterious person came through it and it’s wearing a hood and a coat and you can’t see the face and it looks like it’s looking for something and after it’s going on that search you could notice a giant hammer behind it so that means it could be Amy

If this is the case for Frontiers DLC, then we are looking at a true Sonic Adventure/Sonic 06 style game!!!!

If this is legit, then honestly I'll be interested on Paramount's take on Amy. Personally, the best version of Amy is suprising Murder of Sonic. Adventure Amy was ok, Dark Era Amy was a total creep, Boom Amy was fine, and Frontiers Amy was cool but I somewhat agree with some folks saying that they wish Amy had kept that energetic sassy spark personality. Personally I didn't mind since in Frontiers story, Sonic n gang are seeing how the ancestors got wiped out by "The End" so of course each gang won't be happy 24/7. But for Sonic Movie 3 n the next 3d game in general, I hope Paramount n Sonic Team takes notes on Murder of Sonic Amy cuz she has a perfect blend of being enjoyable, sassy, and unhinged once her day is ruined.

Ever since they announced there would be a third movie I had a feeling that after Shadow the next obvious character has got to be Amy!! After all she is one of the main Sonic characters and she played an important part in Sonic Adventure 2 when she convinced Shadow to change his mind.That and I think it's time they start showing the female characters anyway and Amy could also bond with Maddie like how Sonic bonded with Tom.I want to see if Sonic will fall for her first or will Amy fall for him first or maybe they'll fall for each other over the course of the movie and by the end she stays on Earth with them

I’ve always believed she’d be in the third movie if she wasn’t in the second movie. She’s too prominent a character to not be included.

Imagine if Amy is added to Sonic movie 3 just to only have to be there only for her speech for Shadow. Like, come on. She's going to be more of a tag along character in that movie than how she was in SA2. Shadow is going to take a lot of the focus, maybe Rogue is going to appear and if she does, Amy is going to get away less focus. I'd rather Amy appear in the Knuckles' series, get focus there than just be a tag along and dumped into the background for Sonic movie 3.

I expected Amy to be in the 3rd Sonic Movie, it's going to be like Sonic Adventure 2 and she had an important role there after all. Hope they portray her well too. I was unsure about the 2D Modern Sonic game but glad it's finally confirmed. If they could have more playable characters, they should. Especially since Sonic Mania + had 5 and Amy is going to be in Sonic Origins. And if Sega delay the game to 2024, that's fine by me. I do wonder when the final boss will be fixed though. I guess update 3 since it's bigger than the others, that's my opinion.

If there is going to be a new Mario and Sonic Olympic Games, it better be the 2026 Winter Games. Why? Because the last Winter game with those two was Sochi 2014. Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Games was for another game. Steep by Ubisoft I think. And last year it was Olympic Games Jam: Beijing 2022 for mobile devices. Not sure there was a console game based of the Winter Olympics that year. But this is just my opinion, and I don't want to wait until the next OL Winter game year with a game with OL Winter Games with Mario and Sonic because other developers and and companies got licenses to make a Winter Olympics Game.

It's a giving that Amy will be in Sonic Movie 3 mostly because she's been prominent recently, I hope they get Cindy Robinson to voice Amy in Sonic Movie 3 hell we got Colleen O'Shaughnessey as Tails and maybe Charmy if the Chaoix make their way into the Sonic movieverse, let's get more voice actors from the game into the movies but for Shadow and Rouge, for Shadow I'd ether go with Keanu Reeves or Daniel Radcliff for Rouge I'd rather go with Kate Winslet, I know everyone wants Scarlett Johansson but I'm so sick of Superhero movies at this point (Marvel or DC) As for the Super Mario Bros. movie reaching One Billion Dollars at the box office, seems Disney got trounced and this isn't the first time, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 killed 2D animation BC Winnie the Pooh came out on the same day as Deathly Hallows Part 2, now with the Super Mario Bros. movie successes Nintendo Switches will be flying off of store shelves and it's time for the Nintendo Cinematic Universe.
