When the DSI XL came out, I literally was pestering my mom 24/7 to get it.

Yeah, I love the DS, it was part of my childhood, I got my DSi in like, 2013 and I’ve been playing it ever since, nostalgia.

It's mainly because of nostalgia, realistically the 3ds family is better because of the fact it can play 3ds games, and most of the exclusive features on the dsi are on the 3ds. But don't get me wrong, the dsi have it's advantages, like for example, battery life, flipnote studio, a more authentic experience playing ds games and shop music that just slaps.

ikr, and the thing was, there wouldn't be a problem if the 3ds xl's volume slider wasn't so flimsy and easy to hit. I wish it was more stiff so it would be harder to accidentally slide it up.

I own both and this is true, however you just buy a $5 protective case and you end up with a bit bulkier better feeling system and with a good grip. And the 3D is wayyyyyy better in the NEW 3ds, the old one actually takes a bitv of concentration just to keep the 3D in place.

Im glad I waited to be honest. I got mine cheaper. Its easier to transition to from a dsi(so called "old" one) and to me the second one looks like the 3ds's mentally handicapped cousin. Why do you need to switch so much crap around?!! The finish might be "sexy af",but it might be a good money saver to get the first one. At least it was for me

TheHalfCatracho I got the Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer bundle while it was still available. the faceplates come with the bundle 3ds's,- I got 2 sets of Happy Home Designer faceplates included, But i'm going to change them out, i don't like them. :P

The new 3ds xl is the same; Just that it's fast, they moved the stylus, the power button, the "start" and "select" button, they added the "ZL" and "ZR", they moved the card box, you can move while using 3D mode, you have the new rotation pad, the buttons are colored, the wifi has been moved, the volume has been moved. The only thing the Nintendo did wrong is; they moved the card box, which can be uncomfortable for the players when they play games, or if they play super smash bros, their palms snap the card out of the box, they rotation pad can be really hard to move, which it can be broken if too much pressure with their thumbs, the "ZL" and "ZR" can be hard to reach.

yeah, it was a bit uncomfortable moving the cartridge slot, but it's harder to steal the cart in a public place because with the old one anyone can just take the cart off the back and steal it, whereas with the new one you need to turn the system to get it!

I think he means the actual hardware, but that just depends on the colors and which finish you prefer. But if he's talking about specs then the new 3ds xl wins. It has faster processing power too

I always thought it looked a bit tacky. That's just my opinion. The new one feels a bit better to me also. That being said, I still have both.

BWOne ok I have a serious question to ask. I have the Regular Nintendo 3DS and I want to upgrade to a new version, but I have a problem. I left my 3DS for awhile without using it my my parents car (during the winter I believe) and when I remembered about it the I don't know what it is, but the back started to pop out. The screws were intact and it looked like the battery was sticking out. So at that point I thought it didn't work because I unscrewed the back and took out the battery. But then my little brother taped the bottom of the 3DS and it started working. The charger had been used a lot so it took a lot of moving the cable and wrapping the cable around the 3DS for it to charge, but now it won't charge no matter what I do. I don't know if it's officially the charger or if it's 3DS and it's time of working is over. And I want to upgrade to the New Nintendo 3DS XL or just get a brand new Regular Nintendo 3DS, but I want to keep all my data I don't want to lose it. Also there's a game its called “Animal Crossing: New Leaf and I don't want to start over or have to restart everything, I mean in general i want to keep All my progress from All the games I have for the 3DS. But I don't know how to keep all my progress and still be able to upgrade to a new version or same version just a brand new one or used. Please I'd love to know what i can do, a text, a video on it, or just some help. I really don't want to lose any progress from my games just for wanting an upgrade. I'd like to have a brand new Regular Nintendo 3DS with all my previous data, or a New Nintendo 3DS XL with all my previous data from the Regular 3DS. Please respond back I know this an old video I just need help to figure out what to do if there's anyway to maintain all my data and keep it and transfer it to a New or Regular 3DS. Or I'm just gonna have to start over.

AlvaroBGaming first of all, it sounds like the plastic warped while being in the car for the winter. Second, I had the same problem with my 3ds about the charger. It's where the pins that connect to the charger be d or snap because of constant or rough plugging or unplugging.

AlvaroBGaming I dont know if you solved it, but once you buy the new 3ds go to settings on the old one and search Transfer. Once you are there do the same thing on the new one and follow the given instructions.

Some people don’t give af about 3DS games and only want to play DS games and gameboy advance games which they easily do by homebrewing their DSi XL. Plus their games won’t be looking weird/blurry due to the upscaling of the 3DS.
