Sensationnel's NEW 4 Quadrant Vixen Style Cornrow Cap is $4.99 hairsoflyshop.... Sensationnel Jerry Curl Loop is $13.99 at Sams Beauty www.samsbeauty...
I was wondering how you'd make this a true vixen crochet cap wig, and you not only slayed it, you made it even better! I agree, Sensationnel better be paying attention to how you made their product better and cut you a check, because you took their next level idea all the way to the top. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you SO much! I thought this cap was pretty innovative too. Can't wait to see what other new styles are coming. Thanks for watching. I really appreciate it!
Thank YOU so much for saying that. Please share my video and maybe it will catch the eye of the powers that be. I could use a check or too... LOL BIG SMILES!!!
Thanks and you're probably right about seeing it by 2018. (or sooner) I would love to work in marketing or product development for one of these companies and be in on the ground level. Pretty exciting stuff.
Marzita B. I was in the process of creating my own cap exactly like this bc I wanted a vixen sew-in and didnt want to leave any of my own hair out, so I'm thinking of ways to achieve it bc when I get home, I be so ready to take EVERYTHING off lol.
I heard that! There's a nice variety of crochet wig caps available now which makes it nice. And if you can do crochet braids, making a crochet wig is easy. Thanks SO much for watching the video!!😊💕
The Freetress cap is sturdier but the idea of a Vixen crochet cap is pretty unique. If this was already made with lace and stronger netting it would be perfect. So for now would have to give the nod to Freetress. Thanks SO much for asking and watching!
I found a 'make your own ponytail kit' at my local beauty supply. I did a curly one but it would have looked good straight too. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FHrLkf5CL7s.html You could also use the Freetress braided piece and add the elastic. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_q3dmX7Y9z0.html
You said that! They just keep coming up with more and more new ideas. As for the music I always use the free music on RU-vid to avoid copyright issues. It's from their library and the artist is Jingle Punks. Thanks for asking and Thanks SO much for watching!
I have definitely Fuzzed up a buncha hair so I feel ya. That's the great thing about crochet braids and crochet units. They still look good even if they're not perfect. So go for it! and thanks SO much for watching!
Thank you SO much. I definitely don't consider myself a pro at this hair stuff but I do come up with a pretty good idea from time to time and I really appreciate you watching!
I probably wouldn't recommend this particular wig cap for faux locs because it is made with intricate stitches in between the cornrows that aren't that sturdy. One of the regular cornrow caps or crochet caps may be better. If you try it though, I'd love to know how yours turns out. and Thanks SO much for watching my video!
For the natural looking scalp. I want to be able to do random hairstyles on it. I will make a swiss lace cap and sew it on the vixen crochet cap too. Will that work to make the scalp look natural?
This cap is very unique. As a prototype I get where they were going with the design but I think it would have been more natural to have lace in the quadrants instead of braid. If you use a Swiss lace cap sewn underneath, I still see the same issue happening. It's worst experimenting with it though. Would love to hear how it turns out.
Marzita what did you do with the wavy braids at the edges? Could you show how to do this with straight hair...maybe that part could be used for the "baby hairs" ;)
I think the idea of this cap as designed works better in theory than application. Other than adding the lace in the quadrants I crocheted the hair on 'bricklaying' pattern like normal and didn't try to follow the scalloped edges. I looked for more videos of this cap but couldn't find any. Was wondering if anyone else had some different ideas. I do have another one of these caps that I was thinking about using with straight hair but leaving it as is without adding the lace. Thanks for watching and for the question/suggestion. I will put this top of the list as a project for early 2018.
Don't think I haven't thought about it but unfortunately, I didn't create the cap itself; I just modified it. Would be interesting to do the research to see if these modified lace caps would be profitable. I've made some lace front ones too. Need a manufacturer and then take it to Shark Tank or somewhere... Lots of work, time and investment but would be worth it if there was a market for them.
Hi Sheka, I just saw that Beauty Can Braid used this hair. Here's the link to her video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QwR6u-_99jo.html I may still try it too but she also provided a 15% discount code if you're thinking about buying it.
Yikes, I'm just a DIY wig maker so haven't really felt comfortable selling any of my wigs yet. Thanks for asking and watching though. I do appreciate it.
It's the new Harlem 125 Kima Ripple Deep. I got it online at Sams Beauty and will be posting a 411 video on it next week. Thanks for asking and thanks SO much for watching the video!
No, I actually left the Vixen cap as is. I thought about cutting out the center braid but opted not to because the netting is not that sturdy. Thanks for the question and Thanks SO much for watching!
This is the only vixen crochet cap (that I'm aware of) of its kind. I think that's a positive innovation in and of itself, my suggested modifications notwithstanding.
Freetress makes a right side lace part crochet wig cap but the lace part is rather wide and not very natural looking unless you ventilate some of the lace. I've found it easier to just modify one of cornrow caps by adding a strip of lace to it wherever needed. I have a number of videos posted. Good thing about using synthetic hair is it's inexpensive so a little trial and error isn't such a daunting endeavor. Best of luck with your project!
Happy to help! I try to sample a wide variety of crochet styles, but if there's any in particular you might like to see, let me know and I will make every effort to review it.
Adding lace is definitely not essential for using the cap. I was just trying to create a true vixen crochet pattern where the parts would appear to be like scalp or skin tone. Without the lace, hair can be crocheted normally over the entire cap including covering the center cornrow that runs from the middle top of the forehead down to the nape and cross cornrow that runs from ear to ear. If you don't add hair to the center and cross cornrows and then style the unit with parts like a regular vixen crochet, the parts show black cornrows that wouldn't look natural. At least that is how I saw the cap. How would you use it? I'm always interested in getting another opinion. Thanks so much for the question!
If I had actually created the 4 quadrant cap and not Sensationnel, I certainly would have but can't take the credit. I only modified their design. A Vixen lace crochet cap would be a good idea and worth doing the market research to see if it would be a viable commodity. May pitch it to one of the companies I work with that has the resources to mass produce it. Thanks SO much for watching!!💕
The cap is very light, stretchy all around and comfortable. I would say it's actually a tad on the large size but does have combs and an adjustable strap at the back nape. Thanks SO much for watching and for the question. Much appreciated.
That is certainly never my intention. When you've been on earth for over 60 decades you're just happy to wake up breathing so sorry you may have been offended but I'm just happy the Lord has blessed me with my happy spirit. Hope you can find it in your heart to continue watching. If not, Thanks so much for watching this video. I do really appreciate it.
