With 5gal I would definitely recommend going for a beautiful betta with a mystery snail or 2 nerites. The nerites will only eat algae, so they might go hungry if no algae is in the tank. Mystery tanks are super cool and active, and the betta won’t kill it
Love this tank setup! You should definitely get some shrimp because the tank is in your room and it would be harder to do maintenance. Some colorful ones would look really cool!
Zebra daniois And rosy barbs They go great together I have 7 danios and 2 rosy barbs In my 10 gallon working out good so far have them for a few months no problem
Great video Carson , i think those plants are amazon swords and they are known to be heavy root feeders ,they probably won't survive in the sand and therefore I suggest you use roottabs or some kids of Aquasoil Under the later of sand and maybe add a few smaller rocks for it to blend with the background ,other than that, the tank looks neat
I love this tank. Couldn't you just build up a sand bar to the height of the opening under 3D wall? I would be afraid of fish getting stuck there...or maybe some rocks blocking it...like slate...to match the wall?
Super nice tank, love the shape! With the adjustable light it will be great for some live plants. I grow cherry shrimp in my 10 gallon and sell some every couple weeks, good way to earn a couple dollars on the side!

Yeah, I would definitely get a lid for that tank. Bettas are notorious for jumping out of tanks. Love the tank! Can’t believe it didn’t come with a lid.

u should get a black ghost knife fish or albino clown knife fish, not for that tank but for ur 125 i have super aggressive fish with my bgk and ck and the never get messed with i feel like that would make ur channel pop
For your new tank setup, i recommended for you to get a coulie loach. They look like an eel, but are so much more beautiful and cute. I have a 2.6 gallon tank in my room, and I think it would be more than happy to live in a 5~ gallon tank. Love your videos! Can’t wait for your upcoming videos! Keep up the good work!😁👍👍👍
Great video Carson. I love the live plants. The plants that you planted in the sand are called Amazon Swords, and I would suggest adding some root tabs for them to be able to get their necessary nutrients. I think a dwarf gourami would look amazing in the tank.
Your substrate has to be aquarium soil mixed with fertilizer. This layer should be at least 8 cm thick. The small layer of sand goes on top. This will make your plants thrive + your soil will help with the. bacteria.
What o you feed your chiclids and how often? I just saw your video on the sick fish you brought home and revived. Amazing!! We are new to this and got a chiclid but curious what you feed yours?

nice tank carson! I saw that one on amazon but i ended up getting a smaller one to go on my dresser! I think a couple of breeding guppies along with some snails, shrimp, or a cool placo would look epic in that tank with a mix of live plants and funky colored (lol) plants!! Keep up the great work 😎
I have a 5 gallon and I have a female betta 4 ghost shrimp and I blue mystery snail. And a 10 gallon with a platy a Molly and 2 African dwarf frogs and a mystery snail I use to have a betta in there too but he died 😔
Im like 99% sure this fish tank is sold on Ali express or Wish for really cheap, Or at least one that looks exactly the same is for sale there, this is probs a drop shipping thing
