PACT Act: www.va.gov/res...
Welcome to VA Claims Academy! In this video, we dive into the latest updates on the PACT Act, focusing on the newly added presumptive locations for VA health care eligibility. If you’re a veteran, this is crucial information you won’t want to miss.
- New radiation presumptive locations: Enewetak Atoll, Palomares, Spain, and Thule Air Force Base in Greenland.
- Newly added Agent Orange presumptive locations: U.S. or Royal Thai military bases in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Guam, American Samoa, and Johnston Atoll.
- Eligibility criteria for VA health care under the PACT Act, including service in Vietnam, Gulf War, Iraq, Afghanistan, or other combat zones, and exposure to toxins and hazards.
These updates mean more veterans are now eligible for VA health care and benefits without needing to prove a direct service connection for their conditions. Knowing these locations and criteria can significantly impact your access to care and support.
- Understand the new presumptive conditions and locations.
- Learn how these changes can benefit you or a loved one.
- Stay ahead with the most current VA health care eligibility requirements.

Watching for exposure to jet fuel as a toxic exposure

Me too, as a jet engine mech on a carrier most of us were socked in JP all the time. Including it in our freshwater supply's. Not including exposures to MEK, TEC, Freon, Oil, Hy fluids, AFFF, ships paints and asbestos to name a few. Many chemicals have multiple chemicals within it's self that are toxic. Toxic chemical do not care about one's duty locaTION.

You can claim this if you are deployed in the southwest Asia. Train from e1 to e3 as a fireman messing with the seafoam

Any indication serving in or near the Korean DMZ for any length of time between September 1, 1967, and August 31, 1971 will be extended PASS the 1971 cutoff?

Does being stationed in Germany from 1985 to 1988 when Chernobyl blew up on April 26th 1986???

For that you will likely want to get a nexus letter signed in order to have the best chance at getting a favorable decision

@@johnsb1550It doesn’t hurt to file a claim. I’d include as supporting evidence a few government radiation cloud maps and reports of the event. I was in Böblingen from 81-83, so I missed the event. Best of luck! www.osti.gov/etdeweb/servlets/purl/603070

I was stationed in Italy when that went up. All the farmers in northern Italy had to plow under all the crops for that season due to radiation exposure. Wondering if it has caused some of the issues I and others who were here at the time are having.

I was in San Vito, Italy and Athens and Crete, Greece during the late 80's and early 90's. They burned their trash and sewage in the small villages around the base. Would this qualify?

Likely not explicitly, however you have a puncher’s chance provided you could procure records of that occurring and perhaps a nexus letter as well

Hello Jordan, Nothing on Fort Richardson Alaska? It clearly states in my medical records I was exposed to toxic chemicals
@vaclaimsacademy
@vaclaimsacademy 2 месяца назад
Great seeing you as always @Moparheatman That’s a known location for heavy metal exposure and PCE (Perchloroethylene) as well. It’s not explicitly included under the PACT Act for now per se, but I will go ahead and make a video on the big “loophole” if you will that allows you to pretty reliably claim these toxic exposures that are NOT explicitly included. Should be my next upload! 🫡

Man I stirred poop for 3 months straight at camp Khalid and got denied. I just don’t get it
@zackiinu7194
@zackiinu7194 2 месяца назад
Did the VA give a specific reason for the denial? 1. You have to show evidence that you were exposed to a toxic substance. 2. You have to show a medical diagnoses of an injury. 3. You have to show evidence that your diagnosed injury can be linked to the exposure. What was the reason for the denied claim?
@brandengraham7958

The only reason they gave was that I didn’t have nasal polyps, and they didn’t even check your them!! I have a disability for my sinuses already, I take the loratadine every day and everything
