She was from a less fortunate country and the idea was to have a small nikkah and wedding because she couldnt afford much at all and I was to fly er and her family to my country for a wedding here with my family. I offered to pay for the nikkah and the walima, in return she gave me a longgg expensive checklist, that was killing my budget, especially considering I was flying out to her, paying for family's accomodation/wellbeing, our walima etc She responded "well that's what is most important to me" Obviously this is only 1 aspect of the story, there are many reasons why the engagement was called off but her not caring about the life after nikkah was very concerning to me Her side of the story is that in some countries, the act of Nikkah is secondary to the event and ring.

All i was saying is based on how much a man earn, brides parents give her hand to him. This has become the mai criteria which should not be. I am saying this based on deep analysis.

Parents are not always right; nor do they understand all the time. Keep in mind: you shall be alive when both of them are awaiting their resurrection! Live life for yourself, and the man you love.

Don't humiliate your parents here man. What are you doing? Go make Dua to Allah asking to open your parents hearts. Have you done that? They are your PARENTS whatever said and done.

Start praying tahajjud today, and DUA with sincerity

Abdullah came to perform 'Umra, and we came to his abode, and the people asked him about different things, and then they made a mention of temporary marriage, whereupon he said: Yes, we had been benefiting ourselves by this temporary marriage during the lifetime of theHoly Prophet (may peace be upon him) and during the tinie of Abi! Bakr and 'Umar. *Book 8, Number 3249: Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported: We contracted temporary marriage giving a handful of (tales or flour as a dower during the lifetime of Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) and durnig the time of Abu Bakr until 'Umar forbade it in the case of 'Amr b. Huraith. *Book 8, Number 3250: Abu Nadra reported: While I was in the company of Jabir b. Abdullah, a person came to him and said that Ibn 'Abbas and Ibn Zubair differed on the two types of Mut'as (Tamattu' of Hajj 1846 and Tamattu' with women), whereupon Jabir said: We used to do these two during the lifetime of Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him).Umar then forbade us to do them, and so we did not revert to them. this give clear reference that temporary marriages was lawful during the time of the Prophet Muhammad (saws nd as) , the 1st caliph Abu baker nd during part of the time of the 2nd caliph whu was da 1ne whu prohibited it. evn after that time it was still accepted by some sunni scholars such as Al-QURTBI who aconsider it as a lawful form of marriage nd that it had been agreed upon by the predecessors nd successors ( the salafs nd khalafs) tafsir al qurtubi , 5:132 : tafseer al tabari

I really hope he's gonna talk about that. But what I do know is that if you both talked about things like study or work after mariage and he's ok with it. He cant go back on his words and obliged you not to do it. At the end of days, a muslim couple should always argument to the why you should do something or why not do it. If he's being bossy then that's being arrogant and abusive and its not in the Sunnah of the prophet peace be upon him. Every man should keep that in mind.

@God Lord how can hate Muslims when I am MUSLIM? 🙄 I was just saying a fact. I don't remember talking about maher but let's talk about it. Maher is the right of women because of their input in the mariage (they are giving birth and that's considered as Jihaad...and that's just one example). And yes is the right of a husband that his wife obeys him but its the right of a women that her husband must be kind and gentle to her. So ordering around isnt kind and gentle. That should be cristal clear for everyone.

Honestly if i wanna say how i found a man, it was by da will of Allah. Allhamdulillah. My parents looked me for this proposal, he was as for my expectations, so i agreed to marry him. Please don't go for any dating apps, it will only lead to a haram relationship, instead talk to your parents and let dem know about your interest in getting married, Insha Allah they'll help you to find the right partner. I too make dua for you to find a best spouse

@Muslima A And btw don't make a rush to get married, keep sabr. Marrige is a lifetime commitment, so hope you don't make a mess. Keep on praying to Allah , so he will make thing ease for you. Witout Allah's help we cannot achieve anything, i strongly believe in this .
