Discovered new age on tv music channels when I was 13. I used to listen to it every night at bedtime. Some of the best quality relaxing music I've heard.
I discovered new age music over 40 years ago from when I was a little kid and my father would play the music of Vangelis, Jean Michael Jarre, and Tangerine Dream. After hearing their amazing electronic music I decided I wanted to be an electronic music composer and I've been composing music ever since.
Same here in the early 1980's, then seen Tangerine Dream in concert in 1988. Found also the show 'Musical Starstreams' in the late 1980's which was the new talent out at time.
I've listened to a lot of Kitaro too. I started as a little kid when my dad would play Tangerine Dream, Jean Michael Jarre, and Vangelis. Got me hooked on electronic/new age music immediately.
Thank you very much. I grew up listening to Tangerine Dream and Fresh Aire. Tangerine Dream has been a huge influence on how I compose music as I learned to compose by listening to their music and trying to figure out what they were doing.

Hey I can respect and appreciate the hours of mixing and engineering here too. My son is trying to also make this type of music for just the reason of the love of music, not for income. Very good selection, good video. There are new New Age composers like Joel Leonard and Pigiamo who are making very good music, in Leonard's case he mixes the old newage with a more electronic sound.
