AKASO Brave 6 Plus Action Camera with Voice Control is Here. The new AKASO Brave 6 Plus action camera adds a few more bells & whistles to the “Brave” product line. A big feature of the AKASO Brave 6 Plus is the External Microphone support! This we will be testing in a future video. The Akaso Brave 6 Plus is capable of 4k 30fps with 20MP photos. EIS (electronic image stabilization) and more. We do a quick unboxing of the AKASO Brave 6 Plus camera, go through the camera’s menu and take the AKASO Brave 6 Plus for a short walk.
One feature that I forgot to mention in this video that is missing from the Akaso Brave 6 Plus is the quarter-inch tripod mount. The Akaso V50 Pro line has this on the bottom of the camera so that it can be mounted on a tripod with no extra case. The Akaso Brave 6 Plus does not have it. Must have one of the cases attached to be able to mount.
In our next video, we will hopefully get the external camera to see how It works, and how well the stabilization works on a motorcycle.

I bought it and returned it. Audio is bad. Accessory door would not stay closed. Battery life is extremely short. Stabilization is very good, price is great but the audio was unusable.

Hello, did you try to put a 128GB SD card in it ? It says that the maximum is 64GB but I heard that some device can handle more than announced and and work perfectly. Thanks in advance for the answer 🙏

I just bought this camera for making motorcycle videos for my RU-vid channel. I find out that this camera shuts off once the video has used 4K of space on the SD card and then it starts another video. What a pain. My old GoPro hero three would record 45 minute videos with no problem, and my old Sena prism tube camera also .. I have the settings for the 2.5 or whatever that lowest number is at 2,5 @ 30 frames per second to save space. I can’t use this camera for the purpose I bought it for.

Don't think the lens is replaceable. At this price point, I would definitely have my doubts. And I have 2 of the V50 Pro cameras. Great cameras at their price point.

Have an older "clone" action cam - SJ5000 and have been thinking of doing some ride videos. How does your SJ4000 stack up against the Akaso? Not looking st publishing anything, (Ottawa doesn't need two motorcycle RU-vidrs, ) just for my own enjoyment/ safety. Should I upgrade to the model you just reviewed?

The SJ4000 is good, but it has one big feature missing... EIS. The SJ4000 has no image stabilization. Its a huge plus when riding to have that. Motorcycles vibrate a lot and that makes its way to the camera. The EIS on the Akaso V50 Plus and the Brave 6 Plus will help a lot.

Are that batteries same as any of the previous models? Is that a brand new app for this model only? This was a great video and will be waiting to see the videos to come for this camera. Curious to see if the mic has left and right in it? Doesn't the v50 pro only have one side in the mic and the other side is in the camera? How does that go again Greg? This camera may be my next pruchase. Although, I just won a free camera through a give away on "Worth It Or Not" Andre does great reveiws on cameras and he was giving away to a viewer a Contour action camer. Not sure if it is any good or not. I did see the review for it and the video was ok, but I think it lacked in the audio section.

yeah thats exactly right in regards to the mic. When you plug the external into the V50 Pro you the external on one channel and the internal on the other. Definitely fixable in post, but a step that shouldn't be needed. And as far as I can tell the app is for the V50X, Brave 6 Plus, Brave 7 LE (when it gets released) EK7000, and EK7000 Pro. At least thats what the app says.

Nice looking camera with a ton of accessories. And a pretty good price. One way that may save shipping is to purchase directly from the manufacturer or one of their resellers. I recently purchased some accent lighting for my bike. The dealer had them listed at $285US plus $53US shipping. I purchased from a reseller for $199US and free shipping.

Very true! But i did reach out to Akaso and they are having all kinds of problems with shipping to Canada (and i have heard this from other overseas companies) right now, which is also why the camera isn't available on amazon Canada (or .com yet). So I had to order and pay the shipping so that i didn't have to wait very long.

I hope you have alot of fun with this new Akaso and get some great footage! Looks pretty nice and it's better looking than the Akaso 7000. Packaging looks alot better. Can you improve audio? The audio is a bit better than Akaso 7000. It's a bit louder and video quality is very good. Looking forward to when you test it on motorcycle to find out how good it performs. You think it'll compete with Gopro 7 or 8?

I'm excited to give it a try on the bike! just waiting on the external mic. Will it compete with the GoPro 7 or 8? Doubt it. But is it good enough? That's the real question. The Akaso 'bang for the buck' is always really good. So for those on a budget, this can probably be a very good option. Or at least we hope so.

biggest thing for me is to test the new external mic. Should be here soon and want to test while riding a motorcycle. The V50 Pro and external mic was good, but not great. Hopefully this one is better. Will know soon!

Hello nice review, I got mine today. Have question how do you make each MOV file longer? I would like each file to be about 45min to 1 hour? It seems even at 1080p 30fps only 9min and 3gb file. what gives I have not seen this with my EK7000 at 1080p and 30fps no problem getting 45mins before the next file starts and I will end up filling the SD card or run out of battery. 1080p 60fps is about 35min then next file. thanks much!

Yes it can be used as a webcam. Just a little picky with the usb cable you are using.

was looking at buying, but like you stated, didnt want to invest just incase they didnt work. The akaso mic connections are always a little strange. May do it in the future to see. But for now waiting on the official mic.

Firstly.. I never met a Canadian I didn't like (I'm in Australia) .secondly.. do you set stabilisation on when you are on the Motorbike. Just got a VX50 pro and adout to ride & record.. any suggestions appreciated..settings etc..!

haha. thanks for the comment. And yes I definitely turn stabilization on when riding on the motorcycle. That's the main reason I use the action cams and stabilization is super important. Other than that I just shoot at 4K30 and hit the road!

have the mic ordered, so when it arrives ill do a test on the bike to see how well it works with this camera on the bike! Supposedly its should arrive on June 4th.
