Hiya mate, if I didn't already own a Dremel I'd definitely be picking one of these up at that price. Just like the Dremel it can simulate an F1 car going through the gears like on 1:45. bought this but it didn't work.. even though brand new, turn it on and dead no lights. plugged charger in and it registered red+yellow meaning there was charge even though it was dead. because I lost receipt it couldn't be sent off under warrenty so took it apart tested with multi meter and the motor was knackered and dragging the charge off the batteries. the batteries are cheap shit ones, no wonder the company says 3 year warranty but only 6 months for the batteries, they have no trust in the product..

This exact tool-set is called Parkside at Lidl's, although the tool itself is green, not grey, it has the same accessories and comes in that same box. There's also a more versatile bit-set for this tool with more bits and peices, like various round files, I think three sizes, which you can use for sanding out wheel arches on the plastic bodies. These extra bits come in a larger kind of square box that has a rotatable stand. Have an extra look around the shelves in your store, they should have it. Good thing is that it's all compatible with the original Dremel tools.

@@MarkBryanRC they'd all A load of battery tools for sale in January so I picked up a hammer drill, multitool, impact driver, mini grinder, 20/40 battery and charger plus the dremmil mini drill for under £100 for the lot. All really powerful if a bit on the heavy side for prolonged use.

@@paulbrowne5049 That's amazing value, Paul! Definitely worth picking these tools up especially when on sale. Almost all of the tools I've had from Aldi have been excellent, and the odd one or two that were faulty were refunded with no questions asked! Can't say fairer than that!

Very handy tool indeed. But I am so old fashioned, I would prefer the version with a cord. So it would always have enough power when I need it and I cant forget to charge it. 🤣🤣

Fair enough, each to their own my friend! I'm very old fashioned myself! I do prefer a cord for heavy duty work, like using a power drill. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment, always appreciated! :)

Wish I'd seen this few months ago. I got a dremil branded one for just over 40 quid and an extra set of bits or tool at a other 20 quid. Wouldn't be without it now for body work.

Hi Mark, this is a nice set up. A rotary tool is an absolute essential for any RC hobbyist. My first Dremel lasted 20 years. The tool was fine but the battery wouldn’t hold a charge. I think a corded higher power rotary to cut/file metal and a smaller cordless are the perfect combo if you have the funds. I think a review of all the tools needed for RC beginners would be a great youtube video. Take care!

Hi Paul, I don't know how I've managed all these years without a rotary tool! I would also buy a genuine Dremel but money is very tight and this cheap copy will have to do for me. TBH I'm really pleased with it's performance. Plenty enough power for modelling. A corded version would be better for heavier work though. Another great idea for a video, cheers! Take care too, Bro! :))

I tried a couple of different usb-c chargers but.. one wasn't even turning on the leds, the other seemed to turn it on but wasn't able to charge it in a full day, not even a move from the red led.. on the other side, I'm worried that the original 12v charger could be used by mistake on a phone and fry that.. so I'm going to label that "odd" usb-c charger with some warning color label ;)
@LucaPierobon
@LucaPierobon Год назад
the point is that "classic" usb is usually 5v, so it's unlikely that it can charge a tool which requires 12v

Spend just over 65 and buy a real Dremel 3000. It is way more worth the money than a cordless unit. Way more powerful for sure.

Yep, a corded Dremel is a good buy... but I still think this is a bargain especially as they are discounted to £10!!!! Cordless is also very useful in many situations 👌

I used to have a parkside cordless one a few years back. Luckily the end was the same size mandrel thread as a dremel. I used a dremel 3 jaw chuck on it . It wasn't the best as battery ran down quick and took ages to charge . It was reasonable if you just need very light sanding or cutting. Bit the bullet and bought a full dremel corded one . Yes an expensive buy but it's just perfect. Nice little review Mark . Cordless ideal for light work

Hiya Dave and thanks for taking the time to leave a message. Yeah I reckon most of these Dremel copies use the same fitment sizes, cool as we can buy most accessory packs and they will fit. All the best, mate! :)

I will add my cordless one was from about 8 years or more ago and I appreciate battery technology has come on since then . Got a little 10.1 v lion cordless drill driver and it performs really well . Newer battery tech definitely improved since my first experience
