Me before watching trailer: who is Alter? Me after: WHO ARE YOU?

It’s pretty funny first thing you say after the trailer is “it still doesn’t answer our questions” I think it was so masterful how apex did this because the question “who are you” is going in my head and that’s the exact question she claimed everyone from every world asks her and here I find myself wondering the same thing.

If alter can go through walls I think you're gonna see a lot of caustic meta in season 21. He will be the only defense legend that can stop her from breaching effectively. Most of the alters in beginning season will be super agro, I can see a lot of them getting baited into a house and insta killed

I think the glitched out world alter was in was actually an alternate version of what will happen to horizon since alter had a picture of horizon and her son so I believe that the ending of the cinematic is foreshadowing that if horizon doesn’t stop trying to find her dead son in another universe she’ll break the fabric of the apex world and because that’s a possible or inevitable future, alter has an alternative version of that happening. The reason I think this is what it means is because Alter says “Who am I? I’m the one who’s there at the end. Or am I?” It’s a possibility that alter is horizon in the last part of the video, which could mean that world’s edge could soon be glitched out like in the animation or we could have a map like that because of what horizon is doing and I think if she does find her dead son alive in a different timeline, it could break the fabric of reality kind of like what happened in the movie spider man into the spider verse, when there were spider people in the wrong universe, it broke reality and kind of glitched and formed kind of what we see in alter’s cinematic. If my theory is correct that could mean that alter doesn’t just teleport, she can teleport to the future and possibly the past into someone else's eyes, that’s why she was bloodhound in an alternate universe and that's why her portals have a shattered pattern because her portal is kind of like a mirror, symbolising she's looking beyond herself into someone else's eyes, breaking the mirror or portal and her identity itself. Which could be why she doesn't know who she is because of how many times she's been in an alternate version of people's story and that also means that alter can't hack anything instead she rewrites herself into a person. Her being on the rumble leader board was a alternate version of her being fuse in that moment. It’s like she can see something someone does or experiences before or after it happens but in the process she loses herself (her identity) and I think that’s pretty important because the void walker from wraith’s outland cinematic could do the same thing except she doesn't see someone's life through their eyes and she figures out who she is before helping wraith, so alter may be subject zero or someone who was experimented on alongside wraith but I’m not exactly 100% about this theory but it’s definitely something interesting to think of.

I dont know if anybody mentioned this, but i feel like in the last "Who am i scene" Alter is pictured as a cuckoo bird. These birds lay their eggs in the nests of other birds and basically make other family raise their chick (The chick is usually bigger gets rid of the competition by pushing them out of the nest, which leaves the parent to only feed it). So i think Alter just likes to impersonate others or something

Each bit from the "who are you" is a call to each legend. the death of parents (loba) the hanging of the girl upside down (rev) the bloodhound part. She is someone who knows each legend intimately. Or shes stalked them enough to know each story so that she doesnt have to tell her prey her own. I dont think shes been any of them in any alternate reality. But she will already know each one which could be a fun thing to play with in the game

From what it seems alter is like wraith but where wraith has the future warning her alter has the experience from all of the different universe scenarios but without knowing the future.

Alter's backstory implies to me that she's the Alternative version of multiple legends (Bloodhound, Wraith, Valkyrie (because of mahjong), Revenant (being an assassin) etc.

So wraith and Horizon possibly experimented on Alter? What if they introduce Horizon who was saved by Alter, but created to make believe Horizon had became evil or corrupted.

i casualy think that Alter is alternative version of horizon. When she went throught timeline knows the truth about her son and some how finds the way how to travel between diffrent dimetions wich got he crazy because of some side effects in dimentional drifting or just because of her son can't meet her in all versions of reality wich turnes her to a madness

Her teasers made me excited because the new dynamics she could have are interesting! We can see some level challengers like Revenant and Ash go head to head with her and see how much they butt heads. Also I’m hoping shes Wraiths patient! So we can see what thats like
