Nice selection of vans there. Good to see the dealers are getting some stock now. Hopefully 2022 will open up the retail businesses even more 😃👍🏻🚐 Trev
Hi Bob, I think I have an idea for a vlog you could do, unless you have already done this and I’ve missed it. It’s about towing a car, not for us personally, but in general. 1) How much does it cost to get the A frame and fitting? 2) Does it affect your insurance? 3) Do you use a lot more diesel? 4) Do you pay extra at a campsite when you have Motorhome and a car? 5) What about weight, can you still take the same amount in your motorhome or does towing reduce this allowance? 6) Do you need a specific driving license and is there an age limit? 7) What cc would you consider the minimum engine size to be? Well that’s a start, and any more you could think of. Plus the pros and cons. I hope you don’t mind me saying all this, but I know we would be interested and I’m sure others would too. From two of your biggest fans😄
Thanks a great idea. I have answered a lot of these questions on videos in the A Frame Playlist, but it might be a good idea to do a frequently asked questions on A Frames. As for weights questions I did do this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VYG2rY6HegQ.html
Nice video Bob and I can't help thinking that these van conversions are fast catching up with the cost of a motorhome which for me offers far better value for money not to mention more space. I get the feeling many manufacturers are cashing in due to the current demand and scarcity of stock. I noticed some van conversions were north of 70k, surely having a laugh. Take care and stay safe. 👍💖
Motorhome manufacturers are struggling to make enough motorhomes, we are unlikely to get price cutting anytime soon. Semiconductor, and general parts shortage. Supply shortages and huge demand are pushing up prices.
Great news Bob good for you, we're currently getting excited obout the new carthago c tourer, the quality is just so good, we've been a bit disappointed with the kontiki sport to be honest, just need sorting before they leave the factory 🏭, anyway look forward to your new delivery I'm excited for you both looks nice xx
Thank you for showing us around different vans but I still can’t get my head around how expensive they are now. I’m so glad we bought Madge when we did. She is not perfect but she has so many things we like, it would not be worth us buying a new one to rectify the few things we would change. Take care Gill
Shows how much the markup is bob,i bought the same autosleeper clubman a year ago, same condition, low miles, but a year older £10,500, the near £19,000 price on this is ridiculous!
Love the space of the motorhome but also love the versatility of the van conversion. The Autotrail at the start was lovely but I think I would struggle to get up and down from the pop top. Nice look around Bob. Do you think the little light on the top of the GoPro makes a difference. It's something I haven't tried. Very informative as always. Thanks for sharing.
Good video. I too can't believe the cost of campervan conversions .......too many compromises for me, too narrow, not enough space or storage compared to Motorhomes. It's all about what suits some, does not suit others ?
