Claudia. NMN has healed me with energy and strength. Before I started taking NMN I felt like my energy gas tank was on empty and had to take naps. I had sever Covid in 2021. Ended up in ICU on oxygen. I felt like I would never be “normal” again. I couldn’t make it through the day without sleeping, I would sleep for hours and hours and wake up feeling sick and exhausted. I lost 60% of my hair and aged 10 years over night. I decided to give NMN, resveratrol and TMG a try. This was literally life changing. After a month I could stay awake a full day and within three months I was able to go back to work. Everyone should be taking these. Claudia, thank you for sharing, you are where I first heard of NMN from and I don’t know where I would be without it. ❤

Great interview. In case DoNotAge are looking through the comments I have a question. Q. Sirt6 activator is a very promising supplement but currently has a very high price point. Presumably this is due in part to having to obtain a specific sirt6-activating type from the middle of the Atlantic. This is kinda cool in itself and adds a certain sheen to the brand however have you tried growing the seaweed yourselves to reduce costs? Or is the sirt6 activating quality dependent on more than species/variety?
@claudiaglows
@claudiaglows Год назад
Hi Finn, thank you for being here. That is a great question and I am sure Allan will get back to you. My understanding is that only very few sea weed varieties have the capability of activating Sirt6 and even from the ones harvested for DoNotAge, Dr Gorbonova, after testing them, has to discard the majority of it x
@finnbruton7274
@finnbruton7274 Год назад
@@claudiaglows yes that’s my understanding too. I guess what I’m getting at is…is there a way to grow the right seaweed variety, like a crop? A bit like the salmon farms in Scotland. Still test the crop to make sure it still activates sirt6. Might be cheaper than searching through loads of seaweed that have been harvested from the middle of the Atlantic.
@claudiaglows
@claudiaglows Год назад
@@finnbruton7274 hopefully Allen can give us some answers....
@bluecurlygirl
@bluecurlygirl Год назад
@@finnbruton7274 The worst thing is it may be become even harder to find the right seaweed. The temperatures in the atlantic have increased 6.9 degrees celsius which is a PHENOMENAL increase. This sudden increase in temperature will be putting a lot of marine life under stress (at the minimum) and seaweed is included in that group at high risk from the increased temperatures. It's so scary what's going on with our planet at the moment that we didn't expect to see for decades.
@alangraves1189
@alangraves1189 Год назад

Hi Carolyn, thank you for your lovely comment. I have been using the Creatine for about a week or 10 days now and have not noticed weight gain. I’m really intrigued by the use of creatine for preventing sarcopenia. For the last year or so, as perimenopause starts ramping up in my late 40s, I’m finding it very hard to build up and keep the muscles I work so hard for six days a week. It had really starting making me feel despondent, like what’s the point of lifting all these weights if my strength will be gone in two days if I can’t lift. Of course the other factor to take into consideration is that our testosterone also starts tanking, so I’m not sure that creatine alone is the problem or the answer.

Can one take NAC, GLUTATHIONE and NMN, or, just NMN. It all gets rather confusing. I take NAC and Glutathione, I’m somewhat uncomfortable taking too many supplements. I’m 62 and in good general health. Your advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
@claudiaglows
@claudiaglows 11 месяцев назад
Hi William, you can absolutely take all three together, I do. But you do not have to if you are not comfortable doing so. NAC is a precursor to glutathione, so you might not need the extra glutathione unless you feel it is beneficial. May I ask what form you are taking it in? Unless it is injected or liposomal, it really is not doing much good. That is one of the reasons many prefer the precursor NAC To me NMN is the one I do not want to be without. I hope this helps. If not, please do not hesitate to ask more questions x

Hi Tim, I am glad to hear you are getting good results using NMN. One thing you might want to be careful with is taking it sublingually. I used to do so and got 5 cavities, since it is quite acidic. Would recommend some of these to improve quality of life for seniors. Worry if anyone not checking their blood pressure with these. I use NAC for improved breathing, especially during pollen seasons, using about 1/8 of a 600mg capsule, as it does lower bp. Same with glycine, so i stopped taking my bp drug, and all was fine, but it still was a lower amount than suggested. After 2 wks, i noticed its anti-anxiety quality took my motivation away, stopped it. NMN does not affect my bp, but still take a lower amount than suggested. It improves energy, less headaches for. Alpha-GPC gives me a better energy boost with a small amount, but it too lowers my bp too much if more than a small amount. Can't understand the large amounts and combinations of these... think it might be death for me cuz of the bp thing.

I bought NAC from NOW on April 24 2023. After using it a few days I got a constant lower belly pain with severe cramping. This went on through the night, I couldn’t sleep. Next morning I had explosive diarrhea, really painful. Of course I stopped with NAC. The pain went away after one more day and night. I thought it was NAC causing it. Until I read that over the counter NAC oxidizes easily. I decided to try the medical grade NAC effervescent tablet. The dose was higher but no pain whatsoever. I took a closer look at the NAC capsules and can see the oxidation in small brown spot’s inside the capsule. I of course am scared to death to use it again.

Hi Iris, I actually just talked about this study in a recent video. I did not see anything about triglycerides, in fact another study I talked about showed a reduction in LDL and non HDL cholesterol. It’s like hormonal acne on my chin, but I had a bilateral oophorectomy, so that’s not possible. Wondering if my adrenals are producing more DHEA, just a guess. I have been using Adipeau, but wash it off after a half hour or so. So I wouldn’t think it’s that. I’m not going to stop taking the supplements as their benefits outweigh these minor annoyances. I’ll keep you posted. Thank you so much for responding to my post. I appreciate you!

NMN is a great way to increase your NAD levels at 10 times the cost of doing it with Niacin.
@claudiaglows
@claudiaglows 11 месяцев назад
Do you use Niacin to raise NAD and if so, have you seen good results. From all the research I have looked at it seems that Niacin is not really effective to raise NAD

Would taking NAD under the tongue bypass the GI system by being absorbed through the mucus membranes

That is a great question, I will have to do a bit more research on it. And hopefully Alan will chime in as well.

Claudia, Creatine and Creatinine is not the same thing. The level of creatinine in the blood is not directly proportional to the amount of creatine in the body. While creatinine is a byproduct of creatine metabolism, the production of creatinine is influenced by factors beyond the total amount of creatine in the body.

Hi, thank you so much for your comment. You know, I did ask for creatine, but I think it got lost in translation. I didn’t realize that they tested the wrong thing, until another viewer pointed it out. Thank you so much again, have a wonderful week.

Can we please also talk about how NMN can be contra productive when having a cancer history in the family? As it can also do the opposite: feed the cancer. We need more studies, time, and better doctors worldwide who are willing to accompany the patient throughout the NMN process. I have a chronic inflammatory disease, so I can easily develop cancer because of it. So I am very very cautious what i take. Yet I never gotten any answer on every video, post on NMN , because if you reading previous studies, you will definitely come across the opposite effect of NMN. It is scary, yet NO ONE except Dr. David Sinclair himself is talking about it (he actually is the one who found NMN, Resveratrol, and wrote the book lifespan etc) . I find this highly, highly disturbing that everyone is celebrating this substance even though there is not enough studies yet to be sure it is safe for everyone. But again, I probably will never get any answers, as always, it is very frustrating.

Thank you for being here. I have actually made a video on NMN and cancer. You are right, there need to be many more studies. But some of the studies that have caused panic were misinterpreted. NAD feeds all cells, including cancer cells, but that does not mean that more NAD causes cancer. However, at this point I do think it is wise to say that if one has existing tumors or a history of cancer, to not take NMN until we have further studies

@@claudiaglows Thank you so much for getting back at me. I watched hours of David A. Sinclair's interviews on his yt channel, and that were his words too, to be cautious when having a history of cancer. I just remembered I've already had a tumor when I was very young, plus one side of the family all had/have cancer..so i think it is better to not take it in my case. I find it important that all creators should mention this in every NMN video. I hope one day, we'll know more about it.

I want to be clear that this is not a criticism of your video. The problem is with RU-vid. If you scroll to 21 minutes and 55 seconds, and turn on CC, you will see that Closed Captioning says: "the only ingredient that we get more positive feedback than any man is sex activator". I really think RU-vid could do a better job with Closed Captioning. They don't seem to be trying.

The only supplement my father, his father and the rest of the family took was: lots of alcohol. They all got in their eighties and nineties healthy. What did they not eat and drink: sugar. Do you think people in Scandinavia, Japan or Monaco take supplements for long livety? No, they just eat less and better.
