I got sweety palms looking down those dirt piles, that was some serious air time!!! The thing that impressed me the most is what you said about the tires, it's very good to see Arrma using the same process they follow with Red Loctite in motor mount/pinion screws on the tire glue in tire beads now! 😜

Thank you! Got mine last week....only broken the rear wing supports and sheared the bolt at the shocktower/diff.....but after 40+mph cartwheels off a kicker ramp....that’s the cost of bashing.....certainly cheaper than my weekly propeller habit😎 Can’t wait for a Mojave Roller🎊

It looks like those M2c rear shock tower braces are a MUST for any Kraton! I just got mine 2 days ago, and ordered those braces for it today!

I just wanted to thank you for a awesome informative video. I have been in the hobby many years but haven't had to deal with diffs. Most of my trucks are two-wheel drive Traxxas platforms. I have a Kraton 6s that I bought two weeks ago that is a shelf Queen LOL. I have a red cat Kaiju that had been giving me rear end clicking problems I rebuilt the diff center and rear and put a new input pinion gear in and it was still clicking I shimmed the rear diff but I put the shims in between the bearings and the diff and it still clicked after watching your video I put the shims between the bearings and the diff housing and the clicking stopped. I was pulling out my hair but thanks to your awesome video I seen the correct place for the shims. Thank you again!

I bash a left for dead residential developement and it’s great although they have started to do work there this summer so I may have to look for a new spot next year I hope not though lol 👌

Got mine a week ago must be my bad luck! Right Out the box toe and caster problems with front wheels!!! With your suggestion to adjust turnbuckle got it to work thanks ! But also had to add shim to left wheel to adjust camber. Straightened up close 👌 first bash with 8s ! Almost completed a standing backflip only to come up a little short ! Ripped the front bumper right out !!! If there is alot of torque or pressure hitting the front bumper downwards and forwards expect damage. Where the bumper attaches to front 2 screws with very little thickness of plastic. A hard hit pulls the first 2 screws right through holes and Ripps the tab holding pins right out ! Thats where the plastic is thin. Like i said my bad luck 😒

Oh I binded few those shims they can be a pain i didn't think needed a bearing shim on the exb. I ran both my Kratons v4 exb exb just has a nice feel.

A tip for holding shims in place when installing diff. Get a thin layer of grease on your fingers and apply it to the shims. A very small amount will do. This makes the shims just sticky enough to stick together and will stick to the bearing. Then just take your time lining everything up and it should slide right in. I started doing this a few years back and it has been my go to method. Hope you, or any one, finds this helpful!

So with the limited slip set ups do you still run the same differential oil weights or how does it affect your oil choice was thinking of switching my RTR over to the limited slip but wasn’t sure if it would be worth

Great video and thanks for going into detail about the exb. After clicking the link for the m2c rear shock tower brace I dont see a choice for color and definitely like the orange. Am I missing something? Also I've installed a spektrum 1250kv brushless motor, spektrum smart 160amp esc and a protek black label servo. I'm way to new to understand everything but huge thanks on your videos. What would you rate my setup as far as would you run it or is it not beast mode yet. Any suggestions?

before I would put multiple shims on the diff, I would go with half on the diff and half on the pinion for a correct mesh

Another killer upload Eric. You did one hella review of this Rig. You definitely put her to an ultimate EXB test. This rig is an awesome option props to Arrma for delivering and I think it's cheaper going this route especially if you have extra system around. Great info and tips Bro. This Rig is No M2C level but miles away better than RTR no doubt about it. You and Rich definitely did one hella job push this rig to it's limit. Well done Ramp Blast Bro.

Hey Eric, I have a Mojave, and am running the same power system as this kraton of yours with a 22t pinion and 50t spur. But I am having heat issues on the motor (also using the cheap hobbywing heatsink and fan) Could this be simply that the mojave is a heavy rig?

I've been running 50/200/20 in all my bashers because of you.. Great setup, they handle around our little homemade track and are beasts in the air! I just sold my kraton right before this came out... Now i'm thinking about picking one of these bad boys up haha, maybe i'll see if i can reset the world record and hydroplane this 😂

What size shims are needed?

Question about the shims. When you put those in to tighten up that mesh how tight should it be? Should you get it as tight as possible? Or should you allow for a bit of play similar to the spur and pinion? Thanks

best RC videos on RU-vid by far go to start saving my buddy is a Traxxas Fanboy but I'm loving arrma what do you like the best out of the talion outkast kraton or typhoon I'm leaning towards talion then maybe outkast kraton typhoon is my order but my list is strictly by looks cuz don't own any yet that means straight out-of-the-box with no upgrades does that chassis fit all?

It looks like with the geometry changes people can't upgrade V4 to EXB towers without the arms. Is that correct?

I had trouble getting the M2C rear tower braces to work with the tower to tower brace. The screw for the T2T brace got in the way. How'd you get both braces to work together?

Have you always had to run 2 shims on the rtr diffs? I've been having a lot of issues with my front diff in particular chewing up ring gears, but the pinion gear is still in perfect condition. Does that mean the mesh is too loose?

The truck is only a few weeks old and the chassis already needed an upgrade from Arma’s new “upgraded” chassis. Once aluminum is bent, it’s never as strong and as true again no matter what you do to straighten it back out.

HOLY SHIT!!!! What are your thoughts about the EXB I want to buy one but I heard they had issues with the rear diff’s in the front with shims missing but I talk to horizon and they said they fixed it... I guess the question is you don’t know if you have an old one or new one unless you go to a guy who has new stock versus old stock
