I don't care much for BB guns , but this one, man, that's impressive shooting and power, and like you said JC, from a smooth bore gun too. Yessir I am impressed.
Quiet and surprisingly the manufacturer did NOT lie like usual when they claim a peak velocity and were spot on. No “ALLOY” ammo to achieve claims either. NICE!!! Great little plinker to practice with. Great review bud. Lots of respect for the manufacturer keeping their word on specs!👍 Big thumbs up for that. Doesn’t happen every day that’s for sure. Stay blessed.
Hi J.C. & The Lady behind the camera, First of all, enjoyed your video's at the Shot Show, I thought I was watching Dick Tracy shooting that 1911, great shooting. I agree with you, that is a very nice looking 1911. I'm going to see if I can find one up here in Canada! Great video, enjoyed your performance & the video. Have a good one!
I really appreciate you leaving comments, and I will let Lucy know you appreciated her filming at the Shot Show. I definitely have a passion for the 1911's. This is a fun model. Happy Shooting!😉👍🏻
Once again JC, after watching ALL of the 1911 playlist I have taken your advice...and I just 'pulled the trigger' on buying a KWC 1911 .177 steel BB version.(On ANZAC day 🥰) And 😳...I somehow managed to find one "new in box, never used, sat in a cupboard for over 10yrs!!" - (its the original WW2 KWC...with no factory warning markings etc) Thank you so much for sharing all your advice and knowledge, it has truly helped with my purchase choice's...first my .30 carnivor (LUV that beast!) and now this 1911 beauty! Kia kaha JC 😊
...it has arrived and it is BEAUTIFUL!! 😍 And as described, brand new in the old 1911 green box (KMB-76AHN) Will gladly send you some pic's when I get the chance JC 😊
Just wanted to thank you for bringing Shot Show to us. Love your channel. Top 5 if not 3 for me. I personally am looking forward to that JTS stealth hawk. As a righty, I found it funny watching ya try to work that bolt action. Hopefully they’ll make it ambi for ya so I can watch your review of it. Great days ahead, my friend. I’ll be ordering one of your t shirts soon. The one with the doggo on it. 👍🐶
Another great review ! ( I had to buy one for the wife) I went on U-Tube and not one video on how to field strip this to polish the slide ! Could u please do a short video on this process . I'm subscribed for years but I never get a notice when u post a new review. ....I used too !
I wonder how the barrel is fixed to the frame? Probably it is fixed steadily with that pin you need to remove to disassemble?! Or perhaps, the "field strip" doesn't actually separate the barrel from the frame - it maybee only allows removing the slide? With the field strippable models, the barrel just isn't a snug fit into the frame, so it moves around = creates spread. Perhaps also the slide rattles around less than on the average replica? = that makes sights move in relationship to the frame AND barrel, with every shot. (Umarex now offers some Glock models with CNC milled slides, that of course have a way better fit to the frame. If you shake them, they don't rattle! The models have "de Luxe" added to the name.) Also I could speculate, that the inner barrel actually doesn't move at all inside the outer barrel, so the front of the inner barrel is supported all the time. Speculation by me, but 1" spread at 10m is really good for a semi automatic CO2 gun. I sure don't need better accuracy to feel it's good enough! Some other CO2 pistols just piss me off, when you can't dependably hit a sodacan at more than 5m. That's not shooting. I can throw gravel at cans at that distance, and hit. You are obviously a good shooter, but this time I think you also had alittle bit of luck, with the BB's actually hitting the shotgun shells. But luck only helps if you actually are firing 100% correctly aimed, with that spread from the gun it self.😉😃 I feel very tempted to buy this gun. Thanks for a nice review, as always! (I actually had a Colt 1911 for a while, when I lived in NC. In Sweden, gun permits for pistols have to be renewed every 5 years, and you have to prove your shooting skills with every renewal. And you have to have a gun safe and be an active member in a shooting club. It's not worth the hassle.)
The outer barrel is surely fixed. It is usually clamped of it's lower rear portion between the two main body blocks, which holds all of the working internal parts in place. The inner barrel (just a tube) usually just is pushed into the outer barrel from the rear and then a bushing-like part (which acts as the breech) is pushed in the outer barrel's rear to snug the rear of the inner barrel into place.. I still even have not gotten my hands on one of these myself, but I've worked with similar type of BB pistols before. This 1911 though must be the mechanically wise best built BB pistol with this magazine type. I love my HK VP9 BB pistol for sure - but the triggerpull is long due the older build system where the trigger moves that nozzle slider on the top of the valve to load the next BB into the barrel...
I just can't believe this build is already 3+something years old already (not probably out by ASG, but still).. No idea why hadn't noticed it before. I'd love to have this short trigger system on my HK VP9 BB pistol also. The BB manually breeched by the triggerpull -system is now so outdated..🙄..🤣🤣
Hmmm? i'd Bet after a prelube and 80/100 BB's through it i'd get 460 fps out of it Before I start tuning the Valuve. and get 500 Plus fps. after tuning.
Guilty as charged, Sir! 🤣 I still have not gotten myself one of these. But definitely will womeday eventually. Too good to pass by. And that dual-tone work on your slide looks sooo damn good. A job well done.😊👍🏻👍🏻 No idea why they put so hideous markings on it in the first place. Just so wrong.. Still can't believe you can get one for sucha good price..over there at least. Dunno what it costs over here. Oughta though find a seller of one first.. Good to finally see this video out. And thanks for the mention in the video..😊
@@AirgunDetectives I FINALLY(!) (just a moment ago😂) got myself to order this one.😂😂 Not seen it anywhere in Finland.. just odd.🤔 But. My fave Polish webstore had it on a summer sale. Plus; they even sent me earlier this month a discount code for me cuz of my birthday - so I actually got two discounts on it.😁😁 Only €113 with shipping cost included.😊😊 Can't wait to get it home! Gonna surely do a dual-tone slide for it. The og writing on the slide ain't making it justice.. Had a good summer vacation too. Found myself crazy good deals on a couple of used airguns; the Walther PPQ M2 blowback pellet pistol (along came a spare mag, a holster, and over 60 co2s for under the price of the pistol itself) and the Umarex Beretta CX4 Storm XT kit (which is just insanely priced nowadays at about €500 as new - but luckily was priced only 1/3 of the og price even though a spare mag came along). Sooo.. Yea. Been disassembling and fixing some newly acquired used replicas lately, and gotten to be pretty darn happy of them.. This US-C gonna be a long time since gotten something new. But I could absolutely not skip it. This was a (eventually?😅😁) must-have right from the start. Hope all is good n well! 😊👍🏻
Nice review of a fun gun.How did u get Amazon to ship it here ? I clicked the link and it says they won't ship it here .......: ( Might want to let the ASG people know it is legal here. They are the ones who stopped it.
Mike, the shipping has to do with the product location, not the fact it is an airgun. Amazon is strange with that? I actually ordered this about 6-8 month ago.
@@AirgunDetectives I just managed to buy one for the wife for our 25th anniversary from Evike in La. Looks like I need to do some polishing for her . :)
He's reviewed it. The only thing "limited" about it, has to be the used/antique finish, and oesn't it also have real wood grips? Otherwise the Umarex model has been around for long.
SOoooo, when are any of you guys going to address the availability of all these cool new air rifles out that we cant get here. The ones we can get we have to pay like 200 or more on shipping. Other than that, our choices are limited for the good stuff. Go online and shop and nothing is in stock that ya want. What is in actual store fronts are marked up to the point they are not worth buying from. Hell you can buy better quality real rifles for less than meh air guns here. The UK got it made when it comes to air rifles.
Emmm……the trigger is way too heavy, it also chamber the BBs, not a big fan of it. Regular 1911 air pistol is much better than this, such like colt commander , light trigger and amazing group too. So this one for me is a pass.
