I'm excited for this stuff I'm just getting into bible journaling rediscovering my faith. And I got quite about of your haul this week no pens or marker or ins or tape runner. But I got stickers stencils and stamps. Along with a tube of washing I did order some stuff from Christian books, some illustrated faith stuff and bible highlighters, along with Fabre castells I got the pitt pens and brush pens but I already have both in microns. Thanks for the info.

I am trying to find the last comment, so that I can reply appropriately, but I can't seem to get to it from my phone. Thank you for all of the comments, good and bad. I try to be tolerant of other people's beliefs because I know that there is not one perfect religion. I do not believe that a person has to be associated with one specific denomination to know Christ. He can meet you wherever you are. However, I do not believe the Bible is wrong, and I had to say that.....those are my beliefs. Just because I might disagree does not mean I'm attacking. God is love, and He does not want us to hate. I appreciate all of my viewers, and I welcome you to my channel, even if you disagree with me...you don't have to believe the same way I do, and I don't have to believe the same way you do. Thanks for sharing your tools with us. I am so thankful to know about these gel highlighters. I only use gel highlighter, colored pencils, and ball point in my Bibles because everything else bleeds thru my modern Bible paper. I hope to get those gel highlighters on sale. Thank you! I like the highlighters a lot, and I use them in my regular planners, as well. They are blendable, so a little goes a long way, and that just means they last longer. LOL. TFS, Amanda

I was at a different Michael's over the weekend, in Cincinatti, and they had the washi tape and stickers that I didn't find....so, I don't know if those would be better quality or not. TFS, and I'm glad I could help! Amanda

I found that "Staedtler" textured gel highlights without bleed thru of thin Bible pages BUT I found that I did have to put note paper on top as it will highlight the next page!! Even after time & remove the note paper. Keep them there. No bleed through.

Thank you so much for this review it was extremely helpful I have been to Michael’s about 5 times to see the pen case the whole concept is awesome of having everything I might need for bible study but the quality of the pens keeps me from getting them I ordered the Bible highlighters on Amazon waiting for them to come in but you are so Correct we can find better quality items through different brands and you help me make my Choice think you

I've been considering purchasing some things from the new bible journaling line. This video was very helpful and I really appreciate the time you took to show the products and your honest opinion about all of it. I tend to get drawn in by products that are labeled as bible being made for "bible journaling". I think you may have saved me money as well as some frustration and disappointment by doing this video. So Thank you very much!! If you figure out the issue with the deco tape, will you please let us know somehow? I love the designs and the idea (never used it before) and am hoping it's just one bad apple. :-) Thanks again.

Hi Laura, thank your for your comments, and I'm glad you found them helpful. I did find out the issue with the Deco Tape! There's a trick to it....you put the replacement cartridge into the front part of the dispenser and then close it up. I tested it on the one that looked to be broken, and it worked perfectly!!! I was so happy because I love those things! I replied to a comment with the good news, but sometimes the comments aren't read by a lot of people. Just an fyi on the brush tip markers, the brush tips are great for calligraphy, which is popular in Bible journaling. They are also not supposed to bleed through. Tombow markers are known for this as well but are pricey and commonly found in bright and primary colors. The Bible pens have pastels, which are lighter and great for coloring designs over text and still being transparent.

OH me too - I just know a lot about the brush markers because I used them when I was scrapbooking! I also just found out Tombow has a pastel set, so if you don't end up liking these, Tombow is fantastic, though your sample looks nice on these! I'm learning how to do lettering and it's not hard! Just a little practice and there are a ton of videos on RU-vid on how to do it!! You can do the most gorgeous lettering with these based on the amount of pressure you use!

I want to learn more about the lettering too, and I know the brush markers are the way to get there. I wish I had more time in each day to do all of the things that I want to do. Whah!!! LOL.

I'm skeptical of those ink pads. I like chalk ink since it's not as bad about bleeding through. I also use Crayola Twistables and colored pencils since I've never found a highlighter that didn't bleed through. I'd love to hear how these do. Thanks for the overview of this collection.

Yeah, I haven't opened them yet...I think the twistables would be the best of the lot that I got for coloring. I'll give a follow-up once I have a chance to experiment with them. Also, I did get the deco tape to refill properly, so I'm happy about that. Thanks! Amanda

My friend used the stamp pads and didn't like them. She likes the pastel momentum small tear drop stamp pads and said they didn't bleed through to the back of the page. I bought the gel crayons in a pack of 8 for$5 at five below

Oh, I love the Momentum stamp pads too. There are a couple of different types....the chalk ones don't bleed on my planner. I haven't opened these yet. TFS! Amanda

I like them too....I have used them a lot. I usually take a tissue over it, after I use it, so that it doesn't get onto another page, but I love them. The gold is one of my favorites. TFS, Amanda

thanks for this review. from what I can see, the illustrated faith brand seems to be more in line with the needs of the bible journaler. Higher quality and more creative, but I'm not too familiar with either brand. I am hoping someone comes out with a Bible journaler-planner. Simmilar to what MAMBI is doing with thier Happy Planner.

I think you're right....I've had multiple Illustrated Faith items from paper to stickers to washi tape, and I love their quality. Normaly, I love anything by American Crafts, but when you're messing with my Bible, I'm extremely picky. :) I did add to the video description that I was able to fix the deco tape runner, and I was super stoked about that. MAMBI has some of those, as well, but I haven't tried them yet. Finally, there is a passion planner, but I haven't tried it yet...I might have to do that. Thanks for sharing! Amanda

I'm new here and it's the first time I've seen decorative deco tape (like white out but with a design). Which ones do you recommend and does not break so easily? They're really neat!

The stamp creators were probably intending the stars to be whimsical by drawing them that way, but anything’s possible these days. I’d write American Crafts and inform them of your concern. In the meantime, you can cut the stars off and throw them away. God created the stars and set the rainbow 🌈 in the sky as a sign of His covenant with all His Creation. Yet, witches and gay people have perverted symbols of both without any thought or care as to how offensive this is to the Lord God Almighty.

I love the new things at Michael's however I would reconsider on the stencils. They are very thin and poorly made and cut. Though the shapes they have are appealing I'm not impressed with them. A couple of my Bible Journaling pens did not write at all on the fine tip side. American Crafts has responded and will replace my pens with a close match. Though they distribute the product under their name, they do not stock it apparently. AC customer support has been impressive. I do like the variety of products and selection I saw at my local Michael's

Wow...that's very interesting information. I was starting to think that maybe I was too hard on the Bible journaling products, but I feel better now with my critique. I haven't used the stencils yet, so I am sure I will feel the same way as you. Maybe I will call their customer service to get a couple of my items replaced. A couple things I noticed after this video.....the ruler in the case is not an accurate measurement and is about 1/8 of an inch off, and I was able to get the deco runner to work. You have to put the refill into the bottom of the runner and then close it. TFS! Amanda

To put in the tape, you should put it in the clear part first, then put on the end.

It's kind of like a sticker, but you have to use a hard object like a popsicle stick to transfer the image to your paper. TFS, Amanda

you should be able to just push in the rub-on refill, just put the refill into the clear part and push in the clicking part.

I am creating a collection of affordable journaling kits with a heavy focus of bible and faith journaling. I do not have a business up and running yet but I would love to create a selection of supplies in a kit for you. All I would need to know is what budget you would like to stay at and shipping covered. I would create a kit just for you knowing you have a hard time finding supplies.
