Morganite _did_ exist when Sam Ravndahl launched Auric and Glow Lust. The problem was that the original version of Morganite was too close in shade to Selenite, which for us pale peeps in particular wasn't a good thing. So she tweaked Morganite and relaunched it, IIRC, last year?

I came here to see if anyone mentioned this. lol It’s ironic that Sam did lighten Morganite since, but it did exist with the initial launch. But I’m not even surprised Kackie bought the 2nd lightest shade, since she tends to love more warmth in her base products. I’m surprised she didn’t like Selenite tho! lol I’ll have to look for her video on it now. 😆

I will say that I bought the Melt powder out of curiosity as well and the way I've found it most useful is to blend out my bronzer and blush once I've finished my makeup. It is also nice to revive my face a bit after having worn my makeup for the day.

I feel like in my brain finishing powders are distinct from setting powders. I love my Hourglass finishing powder, but I'd never use it to try and set my under eyes. It's just a final all-over sweep with a big fluffy brush as a last step before setting spray to bring a bit of life back to my skin. Re: mercury in retrograde, I'm out of town visiting my parents. On the same night my mom had to take me to urgent care I got a text from my boyfriend that he had to go to the ER. Now we're both having to recover without each other. I'm not an astrology girlie, but that was wild.

while i haven’t interacted with the Melt powders, id imagine like most finishing powders its idea use is buffed gently over a more robust (usually talc/clay based) setting powder to blend and diffuse powder blush/bronzer:)) i.e guerlain meteorites or mac mineralized skin finishes.

I hesitate to mention this because surely you must be aware of it (and thus it's intentional), but the volume discrepancy between your A and B roll footage is quite substantial. Sometimes I adjust the volume on the B roll stuff so I can actually hear your deep musings on a product or whatever, other times I can't be bothered. Anywhere, there you have it.

This past week has been insane... I have been battling with a 15 year old who is struggling with all of the things. I'm struggling with all of the things. Today I just don't feel myself at all....... Go on Queen!! I think you hit the nail on the head with the Summer Friday sticks. They work really well on my oily skin to give a non- matte cream blush look. I had no idea they were getting hype, but I now have 3 shades. Of COURSE, they don’t hold a candle to your blushes!! 😜 can’t wait for your next round!!

I wish I could wear Chanel foundations, but my skin tends to react to their complexion products. The Healthy Glow would break me out within a day, as in, after 8 hours or so of wear, I'd see little whiteheads, it has Tocopherol in it (like all of their foundations) and I think that's the cause, because I generally react to Tocopherol. Their Solution 10 moisturizer gave me massive under the skin breakouts, but in that case it was the fault of squalane, which my skin really hates. However, I can wear the Water Fresh skin tint

Mercury Retrograde: Was expecting four packages to be delivered. Two were sent back to the post office with a notification there was no one "home" to receive them. Except they were addressed to my work address where there are people in the building from 6:30am - 6pm (and the normal delivery driver knows this and there was definitely someone there when they "attempted" delivery.) Third parcel went to the wrong address and will hopefully arrive tomorrow. Fourth... well, the fourth is probably lost forever. 😣

I don't know what I do wrong with UD Space Cowboy. It never seems to look like everyone else. Unless I have a flashlight shining on top of my eyelids, I don't get that gorgeous sparkly effect that everyone else gets. Also mine gets hard pan so easily. :(

The Melt powder is my favorite new product I’ve bought this year. I clicked on this video because I’ve not seen anyone else review it. I have extreme dark circles so I use it with a triangle puff alone or over concealer and I love the reflective quality that helps minimize shadows under the eye, especially in the inner corners. I also use it as a buffing powder all over with a fluffy brush and avoid oil prone areas. I don’t find that it’s too much in person but everyone has different glow preferences.

Hi! I also have dry skin, only semi-sensitive but I have rosacea. I haven't tried Fenty but I strongly recommend the Givenchy Prisme Libre concealer, and it can be sheered out as a foundation. It doesn't dry out my skin and has a semi matte perhaps satin finish, but not looking dry. Great coverage too in my opinion but not full coverage. Totally depends on what you want as the Fenty seems pretty different!

I had such HIGH hope for the Melt powder 😢 ….I’ve been looking for a replacement to the Laura Mercier Candle Glow powder since I found out it has been discontinued! WTF why do they do this? Candleglow is baked and doesn’t have the tin-man shine, more of a slightly illuminating version of Kosas. I think I’m looking for more of a Chantecaille perfect blur with a bit of illumination …actually the Becca light shifter powders are similar to candle glow …too damn bad they are DISCONTINUED as well!! See…I’ve just irritated myself into buying ridiculously priced backups, that If I’m realistic will most likely expire before I get around to using.

😅That powder tho... more of a highlighter than my highlighter 🤣 I've noticed that the beauty industry is trying to push us back to matte formulas... 🤔I am not sure how I feel about it. I've got a couple of concelares and foundation that are matte and also matte blush colours and matte liquid lipsticks... I just miss the glow. Every recent foundation/concealer fail I've had has been due to the shade match, it used to be that I could just pick the palest shade of any range and it would still be too dark for me but I could make it work, you know? Same here! I was always the lightest neutral... now I'm 2 or 3 from the lightest and I'm having a hard time finding neutral bases that don't lean too pink or too orange... yellow undertone has been so hard to find 😭

I think maybe that finishing powder is a true finishing powder and not a setting powder. Kind of like how some Hourglass powders and the Guerlain Meteorites are true finishing powders and not setting powders.

I think I got an old/dry Space Cowboy from Ulta ☹️ I’m not sure why it never looks as wet or saturated as it does when I watch people swatch/apply it! Anyone else have this problem?
