Were some of these games designed with Batari BASIC? I haven't used BB in ages... maybe it's reached a point where it can make games like this. That last game looks pretty decent. It's like GI Joe Cobra Strike, except, you know, good.

Atari time taking way back

I dismissed the original Atari VCS back in the day. I was busy shoving quarters into the arcade machines and I was used to more sophisticated graphics. I was fascinated with computers and got an Atari 800 because its graphics and animation capabilities were better than anything else on the market. I've been impressed recently by what programmers have been able to do with the primitive graphics of the 2600. Even if the display looks simple the playability is still there. I'm looking for a multicart so I can play some of these on my 7800.
