Went down to hoover for some night time fishing looking for that flathead. Experimenting with dark water premium baits, trying to avoid the time wasted catching the bait.
Have you ever fished pymatuning reservoir in ashtabula county. Its not well known for flathead but 50 lbers are yanked out a few times a year. Amazing lake for channel cat too
Sweet catch. It’s got to be encouraging to know that a fish of this caliber is still not in the leaderboard, I take that as we have some great fish in our area. And don’t discount fishing flatheads during the day, got on at Clendening Lake on Thursday at 3 pm , 40 1/4 inches and had 2 others of substantial pulls that I couldn’t manage to hook good enough, I agree totally that the carp bait is the greasiest thing ever.Good Luck in the tournament
Thanks. People have told me that about Clendening. Time of day doesn't matter for the flats in there. I'm planning a trip there hopefully in the next week or two.
Since you’re in your kayak I would suggest using the ramp in Tippecanoe off of Rt 800 .it puts you in deeper waters but that’s just my opinion and you know that they say about opinions
@@northeastohiocatfish it’s a better ramp with a dock and port a John that paved . But it’s not more than 15 feet deep. Great in the spring and summer but now I’m not sure. Only one way to find out, get in there and give us a good show. If anyone is going to catch fish there it’s would be you. Your determination is inspiring, we’ll wait for the video,
