Being an old school skater I have always followed the skate shoes.. so when New balance got into the game a few years ago I had to try them out. Since then the 440s have been my all-time favorite. Love how durable and wide they are. After years of jamming my wide ass foot into sb's these shoes are a godsend

Got a cream and red pair of 1906Rs in the mail yesterday and am probably going to pick up the white and gold ones too. It’s funny to see the “mesh sneaker with thin leather/plastic strips” look making a comeback; I still have my pair of OG black and green Reebok ZigTechs from back in 2010 that look pretty much exactly like this so I am like… retro trendy or something. 😄

As a senior sneakerhead I concur with your point re. Comfort. I will reach for a pair of New Balance or UltraBoost over Jordan retros 9 times out of 10. To wear Js I need to carefully plan my day to ensure I won't have my feet destroyed by doing too much walking or standing.

New Balance cops over the last couple years: JFG 990v3 (so fire), JFG 9060 Penny Cookie Pink, Black/Grey 9060, JJJJound Navy 990v4, JJJJound Beef and Broccoli 993, WTaps 992 (what a cop), Stray Rats 991, Black/Pink 991.9. The quality on every pair is fantastic. I want to get some 2002rs. It seems like they are swinging back toward more retro designs so I will probably slow down, though if they re-release some of their trail running models like the 510 they will pull me back in.
