You know, FT...I love watching your videos for several reasons...seeing your beautiful, healthy cattle, watching how well you treat them, watching you grow feed, rebuilding your grandpa's beautiful farm, seeing how resourceful you are, how you build and rebuild everything from fences to feeders to tractors and more. But one thing that I get from your videos is a sense of calm and peace....from remembering my own grandpa's farm and the dairy farm next door, both lovely places that I truly was enchanted with. And it makes me feel glad seeing that there are still sane people around, like you, who are not afraid of true hard work, dedication, family, and creating good things. You're a fine young man. You give me hope! And for that, this old lady thanks you.

Nice Video!! Here's a tip. When you change Tie Rod Ends on anything (Car, Truck, Tractor) Count the number of turns when you unscrew the old end from the center tube. Screw the new one in the same number of turns. This will put you very close to the original dimension. Threads are a constant. 10 turns out......10 turns in, puts you right back where you started. Best of luck.........

@farmertylerranch4399
@farmertylerranch4399 4 года назад
Haha yeah I think you’re right Kory! I’m still torn on whether or not I want to paint it, kind of like the “used” look but I think one day I will. For now it’s just for feeding. There is no hydraulic pump so the three point doesn’t work and I’m not sure if the pto even works. Eventually I’ll fix that stuff but the parts are pricey! Thanks!

I have a question for you. It looks like your grease zirks on the ball joint are on the opposite ends from the ones you pulled off because I can't get mine to fit with the grease zirks on the pitman arm. Thoughts?
@farmertylerranch4399
@farmertylerranch4399 4 года назад
I think mine are the same at the steering arm and the new ones at the other end are sealed. Sorry I’m no help! What is the fitment issue?

Use two hammers and strike the arm from each side at the same time several times, it is enough to weaken the hold at least and sometimes enough for the ball joint to drop out.

You said in one post that the 3 point life don't work, and you didn't know if the PTO works or not. Some early Fords the PTO had to be in gear and turning before the power lift would work. It's just a thought.
