I love the different smells in Bangkok they are still a part of the identity of this city. Not every part in a million city can smells like flowers 🌸 but i think they work on cleaner khlongs in the future👍 Thank you for sharing and updating🙏 Have a wonderful day Khun J.🚴
I really love the way you portrait Banking and the way you show changes, developments but also parts of BKK that are interesting to see. Several parts to visit when arriving in June gather from your vids. Than you for sharing. 💯
I was a lot of times in this area drinking a coffee and driving with the BTS to the center. I like Bangkok is having this progress and cannot wait to get back in a few weeks. This parks and green makes Bangkok so much more enjoyable during the day. Also all the new constructions, like the new mall or modern buildings. Very interesting to see everytime I go something new is built. It adds a lot value to the city. Thanks for the update!
Oh, I was thinking about it the other day, so this update comes at the right time! I can tell it's definitely an improvement over what was there (or not there) before! They used to have outdoor gym equipment though and now it's gone. I wonder if they will put them back; I could see local people using them sometimes. Anyhow, thanks for this update... and also, could we get an update on Silom Road between there and Lumpini? I believe thay are some projects going on? As always, a big thank you, Jeroen!
Thanks, Jaroen, for this update. I have been following the progress of this and other park projects in Bangkok. One complaint I heard about the Chong Nonsi Canal park is the limited access. There are only a few foot bridges -- otherwise, someone would have to risk crossing three lanes of traffic on either side to access the middle part, where the park is. Did you see many people using the park? Do you think that access is an obstacle? Thanks again for your posts.
Every time I am back in Bangkok and I smell a khlong it oddly pleasantly reminds me of when I used to live there. Then after a few days I hate it again. Although, I think if they were to make a signature perfume or scented candle for Bangkok they could call it Khlong. It would be a nice souvenir to light up in the home or spray on for a night out when you're back in a cold winter somewhere.
I just love your video's Jeroen! I used to discover a lot by myself in Bangkok, but because you are living there, we get so many updates...it's amazing! Someone called you an ambassador of Bangkok....that might be a good description! Looking forward to see more.
24 years in Bangkok: My wife's school beside Golden Mountain. The rain would start at 4 PM just as we'd leave the school. It would take 2 hours to cross the river 7KM to Bangkok Noi. Very happy she retired 4 years ago.
Jeroen, a question. In the middle of Soi Ramkhamhaeng 24 in Krungthep Kreetha area they are working in the canal (being walled off by sheet piling). Do you maybe have any idea what they are doing there? Will the canal be converted into a tunnel perhaps?
Good video. I will stop by there this summer and check it out. By the way, did I miss the Ko Khut video? I watched Ko Mak and saw the Ko Kradet one, but I have been looking forward to the Ko Khut as well.
