So here we finally get to test the new battery charger!
Its a Powermax PM4, 100 Amp charger. This one is set up to go from 110V AC Power, to charge a 12 Volt lithium battery (bank).
I have 4x 100 amp hour LiFePO4 batteries in parallel, and the problem I'm solving here, is when the batteries are really low, like cloudy weather in the winter, it would take 400 amp hours to recharge them. Well, a normal 15 amp charger isn't really practical! We need More Power!
If I need to charge, I'll be running the generator, and burning gas for 12 hours isn't really a good day. This way, I can charge for 4 hours and completely charge the batteries. But mostly I'm thinking I'll charge for 1 hour, then let solar pick it up from there.
Here's an Amazon link, don't worry, this isn't an affiliate link.
I don't care if you buy this or not, but if I find something that works, I'll try to share it ok?

Thanks for watching, and best wishes for the New Year!

im going to buy this so i can charge mine. i have heater pads inside my lithium so i dont have to worry unless it gets -30F out or colder. its good to know that other batteries can be added later that dont have heater pads in it but wanted at least one that does so at least in the cold if it gets that way gives me 200amp hours to use to heat the rest of them up to temp then they can charge.

Yeah I heard they were putting heaters in some batteries, that would be handy. It doesn't get cold that often here. I just try to look every morning. Also, just running a heater will create enough current in the battery to warm it up internally. I'd really want to put a temp sensor inside a battery to know how cold they are internally.

"sun should start going the other way" yes if not big trouble......I run red honda 1000. 1/2 gallon will give 6 hours of 50 amp dc charger with Iota dc charger. No sound.... I have set up dozen of this with cabin people here.I use Lead batts only cause of cold charging ease.

Yeah big trouble :) Gotta love the Honda, I never hear anything bad about those... quality is never expensive right? Aside from the cold issue, I'd hate to go back to lead batteries after lithium. So far I'm super happy with mine.

Latitude 62 not too cold not too wet.... I did desert just like you for many years. Cold is better than hot because you can always put on another sweater. -10 now. No prop tax..no car tags..No state income tax... 20 dollar watermelons 8 dollar milk...Cold is a natural barrier that keeps most fools out. The people here are very real and sum what dangerous.

Carlin I'm looking at the powermax to help charge some power queen 300ah. I'm pretty novice to this and was curious if using the powermax would allow me to charge the LifePo4 battery's from my 120V wall outlet? I'm just toying with emergency back up at this point.

Yes that should work fine. Look at the specs for your battery, how many amps charge can it handle, then pick a changer that matches it. I got the 100 amp charger because I charge 4 batteries at the same time, so that is 25 amps per battery. Thanks for the comment.

A lot of talking and not much on a performance a person would want to know what is the output versus what is claimed this much more useful

I realize you are probably not my target market here, seeing as you probably won't make it off grid with this kind of attention span, but at 3:30 or so, I both show and say how many amps I am getting from the charger. That's where I'm holding the meter that is showing 97.4 amps. By this time it was already throttling, but I did see 100 amps when I first started the generator. So, that is actual rated capacity. If you missed any other important details, feel free to go look at the manufacturers website, they're US Based out of Florida. Best wishes. Or piss off. What ever.
