The battle could be fought there to maintain a hold over the area and thus the individual in question. The whole of what is said here is completely brought on due to the mentioning of the word ISOLMENT meaning ISOLATION or QUARANTINE. The entire thing points an obvious arrow, much like that in the thumbnail, to an obvious answer. We have a good chance of seeing zombies in Battlefield 1 due to the presentation of this Easter egg. It could also be the other mischievous creatures of Science Fiction lore, Aliens. ChanceTD I've played the story and I can confidently say this is unrelated. I've seen people saying the word "Isolement" above the door means isolation (people also say it means quarantine). Most logically I'd just say it's a traumatized soldier, clearly beyond a section 8 give potential execution. Probably just a grunt messed up from shellshock or gas attacks. There'll probably no real conclusion to who or what it is but the additional stuff in the room being the real discoveries.
