Replacing the bearings, I did use greaseable bearings the old ones were not ! Had to drill and tap the flanges because we used the last of the ones with zerks
That's a lot of disc for only 2 wheels! Adding duals inboard of those others would help a lot! Man, I haven't changed bearings or discs on a disc for YEARS! It was fun to WATCH lol! Now, you just gotta get the right weather to go USE it lol! Thanks for the video!
Always fun times working on a disc already replaced few bearings on mine this spring. I think tandems on the center section would definitely make a big difference. That's a lot of weight there for two tires surprised it didn't come with a tandem axel from factory.
Even when they're not all rusted together everything is tight and heavy, lots of fun! I want to think this was an early model cause all Krause disks have dual wheels now! Thanks for watching
Happy Friday CE! That old girl really fought you pulling that harrow off....lol You folks finally getting some better weather there so you can finish up your spring work? Work safe, see ya on the next 1 Doug@ the "ranch"
On my IH disc I can take the bolts out of the bearings and drop the gang without removing the standards also. Tandems would make a huge difference on that heavy disc. I believe you were talking about Lowe and Young for parts?
It pained me to watch you take that plow apart! Yes a very helpful tool on the farm! Fabricating or demolishing very handy ,thanks for watching Soybean Farmer
I think they are there to hold on to somehow while you screw the nut off on the other end of the axle. Otherwise the whole thing will turn since its a round axle. What do you think?
I would of asked for some of the money back and showed the guy you bought it from that it broke down as you took it home but it was an auction they dont have to
