I applaud the effort to speak softly about a gun that obviously didn't impress you.

he can't speak loudly about any gun he dislikes... or else the company / person who let him borrow it will not let him have any more to review. He knows this. That is the problem with these guys who "review" guns that don't buy them out right. They are kinda "bought" into saying certain things even before the review begins.

I like Beretta but I love CZ. They just have a better catalog top to bottom. As far as this Beretta goes - they screwed up by making a single stack but that could possibly be overlooked had the trigger not been so horrendously bad.

Even though you don't like the trigger, it seems like a good carry trigger to me. Less possibilities for accidental discharge. That's important in a quick thinking self defense situation. I think a 6 lb trigger pull is perfect for self defense. Just my opinion.

As always, an Excellent Presentation👍 To the nit pickers: If it's offered Single stack, folks complain it's not Double stack. Double stack? then folks complain it's not thinner Single stack. Think weight for you carrier's. If it's 7 round, complain it's not 9, 10, 11 round. If it's smooth without side levers, slide grip serations or safetie paddles like CZ 10 Mini, complain for bumps, serations, gas brake pedals making it wider. Think smooth no snag pocket sock carry. My point?, Every pistol is beautiful to the user. One design doesn't thrill everyone. Be SAFE ⚠️and not stupid.👍🍺🇺🇲

Maybe as a quick cash grab while they try to figure out how to make a microcompact without infringing on patents owned by other gun manufacturers (that even Taurus figured out how to do). I worked at Scheels for the past 2 summers before I graduated and the tiny single stacks sells much more in general (M&P Shield, Ruger LC9s/Pro, Ruger EC9, Glock 43, crappy SCCYs, Kahr CM9/PM9, FN 503, original APX Carry, ect) than the microcompacts simply because of the price. To gun enthusiasts like us we'll obviously gravitate towards higher capacity in the same size and pay for that, but there are many new gun owners who just want a tiny pistol for conceal carry or they're arming multiple people ($300 vs $500-650). Now that people are used to Covid and aren't panic buying as much, it seems like such a random time for Beretta to release this though.

They are clearly targeting old shield with size and texture however they still done a round at same size.. but even in today’s age I’m rocking a single star shield. With mag guts springs and different baseplates I’ve had a 10+1 single stack way before these half stack modern guns like the 365 came to market.. most of these are too small.. the shields are just right and so is this but it’s down a round before modifications.. not a big deal at the end of the day.. but you are right.. why are we going back 10 years in tech instead of upgrading to 2yo tech? Makes no sense to introduce this now..

People tend to underestimate single stacks. They're very easy to carry very comfortable, and i've heard that in like 95% of defensive firearm incidents the defender doesn't fire more than five shots anyway
@LucasSanfelice
@LucasSanfelice 2 года назад
I heard the opposite, people tend to unload the whole mag in about 15 seconds, especially when in tunnel vision. It should be up to the level of training, but as I've SEEN sometimes 5 shots might not even take down one opponent considering the adrenalin and the power needed to effectively neutralize the threat.

These days I have put my double stacks into service as home defense guns. I’m only carrying a single stack, either my Shield 9 or XDs 45. I prefer the thin gun and the thin magazine in my pocket. I don’t need more than that to get out of trouble.

16k rounds? Brother, I'm all about training with your carry piece but 16k is bordering abuse. You're past the point that parts will start wearing out and may fail in the event of a defensive situation. Also, why would you intentionally choose a single stack when you can get a double stack in the same size gun? That makes zero sense. Could you give me a list of the micros you have that don't beat this Beretta? I'm curious

@@dilldowschwagginz2674 First of all I bought the gun well before the double stacks even came out. For your information, the Nano came out in 2012. That is NOT a lot of ammo for a gun enthusiast that goes to the range and trains and practice diligently, which I do each week. The gun has Not been abused. It is designed to shoot that much and much more. Break the gun down, for god sake. It is built like a tank, almost over built. These guns will go as long as any Glock etc. And just purchased the A1 Carry and expect it to go on for years with thousands of ammo. How often do you shoot? Once a year?

Without getting into the condition 1 (un)safe action debate, an improvement on Glock would be loaded chamber indication, or striker plunger protrusion. I say right up front that I don't like the trigger nor do I understand why it's a single stack. Everything I stated in the review is honestly my take on the pistol. Most importantly, it's not necessarily what my personal preferences are.... that would make a bias review. If all I reviewed were the guns I carry or use for home defense, there would be a lot less gun reviews on the channel. There are a lot of choices and that's because people have different preferences. It's a disservice for a reviewer to go on and on about little things they personally don't like that aren't real issues or flaws. Reliability, durability and accuracy.... that's it in a nutshell. The first time I shot a Beretta 92, I hated it because I was a 1911 guy. Now I love them. For me to go on and on about why I don't like something can change. Once you handle hundreds of guns on a daily basis, you understand that what I think may change and while some will hate this gun, others will absolutely love it. Dude, I've been on RU-vid for 13 years and if I got butthurt over a comment, I wouldn't have an a$$! lol! My advise to you is don't come here with preconceived notions.

This A1 is just a Nano gen 2 or gen 3 depends on how you'd differentiate them. The original APX Carry is just the same Nano internally, dressed to look like an APX (with external slide stop added). This time around, for the A1 version, they ditched the APX washboard slide serrations (which doesn't work well anyway), added Shield footprint optic cut, and changed the take down button so now you can turn it by hand, no tools needed. Being under warranty and having a warranty repair 40 minutes away I took it there. Picked it up about 10 days later then to the range, within the first mag it did it again, Finally after 3 times it's fixed and running well. However I don't trust it enough to carry. I knew what I was getting in regards to the DAO-like trigger when I purchased my Carry, but since owning it I've shot a lot more guns to compare it with and it now sits at the bottom of my "fun to shoot" list. And why, oh why, does it have that proprietary front sight? It it that difficult to put a standard dovetail cut into the front of the slide? Because of that front sight there are extremely few aftermarket options. I will say that my APX Carry has been reliable AF. It's not a bad gun by any means but it's not a great gun either. I just wish Beretta would actually put in some effort to modernize it.
