Thanks Steve 😁 yes, 3 HRD’s and a Vincent 😁 I was wondering if the Vincent was older or newer than the HRD’s 🤔 I think it was late 1920’s when Vincent bought HRD and I don’t know if they continued to make HRD as HRD or if they just made Vincent’s 😁
Congratulations on the new machine! Excellent colour! Of course my new Honda is blue too! That is a lovely bike you got there, enjoy your new bike week!😊
Congratulations!! 🎉 I am so happy for you! Hearing your excitement is wonderful! It's not easy choosing a bike and you work hard to earn your ride! This is brilliant! Well done Mate! Thanks for sharing! Nothing like a new Bike! -CJ🇦🇺 (oh Freddie 😂)
Hi, we've been watching you for awhile and just want to say my wife and I love to catch up with your RU-vid channel on a lazy Sunday morning.. so thanks!!! Thought the guessing intro was great and love the new blue velvet.. enjoy!!! Cheers Geeez 👍
Hi Taym congratulations on your well thought out bike. I waited for the reveal and look forward to see how you build it into a touring machine. Great color Blue
Congratulations! I rode one two weeks ago and it is one of the smoothest and most pleasant to ride bikes I know off and it looks spectacular. There is also not much drama with the engine which some may miss but I can see riding this for hours and then the lack of drama quickly becomes a big plus. When I was riding it I thought „if I had no bike already and wanted to buy one, it would be this one“.
Morning TAYM, very nice, I see where you're coming from, the SV650 but more of it ,and keeping with a torquey twin ! 👍, and that kind of blue always reminds me of the ocean on a sunny day ,beautiful! Enjoy! Cheers Mel 🍻
Love the blue! You made the right choice on the color. 😃 A lot of riders have never ridden a Sport-Touring or even a Sport bike to know how wonderful they are to ride. Your opening segment was awesome! I love how you had all the bikes flash by, keeping me guessing! That was a bit of editing I’d wager. Congratulations MR TAYM! 🍾 We’ve both added blue bikes to our garages. It’s wonderful! I’ve been waxing mine at night and just gazing at its beauty… before I flog it in the dirt and cover it with bug carcasses from the road. 😂
Love the new bike Mr Taym, such a good looking machine, and although I didn’t think so at first I do think it has the edge over the Daytona looks wise. The blue just looks so classy!
Congrats, geeat choice, I bought one too but went for the silver & red! It's a genuinely great road bike in my opinion & can do everything well. Of all the bikes I've owned, I've never come across one that contradicts its spec sheet more. The numbers do it absolutely no favours but if you give it a chance, it'll pleasantly surprise most people I think. The torque is indeed fantastic & I've also put the full Akrapovic syatem (£1100 fitted) on mine which takes it up another level & I would thoroughly recommend it.
I was almost expecting the new bullet :D but this a gorgeous bike as well! Theres just something about a blue Suzuki and the display looks so clear! very nice.
Evening TAYM Wow that’s a beauty and a surprise Love the video Ps I’ve not gone anywhere it’s just been really busy working away and not had a lot of RU-vid time to watch everything So much to catch up with! Have a great weekend Ive not had time to upload any videos but shall try to upload one soon All the best Phil
Lovely bike. I sat on one at the NEC and it's a great sports touring riding position. All the reviews I've seen are really positive. Personally I liked the silver with red wheels, but I'd love to see one in Barry Sheene tribute colours too for a bit of retro appeal.
Sounds like a bike to make longer trips on and search out new ground! Wonderful choice! No chrome! Nice, my rims would be mat black in a month and I wouldn't look back at them. Lol, can't wait to see it fully tour able . Wind screen is a bit small for me for a touring bike, but I don't think you are going to tour all of Europe any time soon. It's also your bike! And I am sure you have hundreds of hours to figure out what bike was needed in the stall! Well done.
Great new bike Mr Taym and just the right colour. I did think you might go for another classic, but completely agree with your choice, I'm sure it will be the perfect sports tourer. Be interesting to see it with the panniers fitted. Enjoy 👍👍👍👍👍👍
A great choice of bike 👍👍. I would not have guessed a Suzuki 8R as a tourer. It will be interesting to see it with the panniers on also. What a smasher!
I myself have owned many Japanese bike's over the 50 years I've been biking, At the moment I'm a Royal Enfield man, Owning an Interceptor and Hunter 👍 But I like your choice, your Suzuki is very nice indeed, if I could have another bike I'd love one like yours , Love the fairing 👍 Cheers Paul
Happy new bike day, looks lovely,I have sat on one but felt a bit heavy for me 😕. Are you going to name it? Think you should call it Barry in memory of mr sheene 😁
congratulations on a great choice of bike, good to see mid range sports bikes making a comeback, great power for the road and comfortable to ride all day but has a naughty side, lol, own the cbr 650r great fun on the roads, enjoy the new bike
Great choice, I’ve been looking at that bike myself. The only reason I don’t have one is because I have the fjr 1300. I believe you said you have 4 bikes in your collection. It’s good to a variety of different types to choose from. I have a 2019 HD ultra limited and the fjr. I would like to add an off and on road bike like the baby gs. I would have all my basses covered.
Morning Mr TAYM. First off, lovely bike ! I am surprised though, that it came with a quick shifter as standard, but no self cancelling indicators. By the by, nice nonetheless 🤗 ps, you know my thoughts on Mr Dobbs 🤦♂️
Well well well I was correct TAYM 😀 a lovely looking bike in the best colour imho 👍🏻 enjoy your new Suzuki I’ll look forward to seeing your adventures on it😊 carry on that man Caio for now tat ta 👍🏻
Good choice Mr TAYM . I had a little bet with myself that it would be an 800 Suzy . But I thought you'd go for the naked version . Splendiferous paint scheme .❤ Lovely ride to Lavenham , I had one of their rugs on my bed for years , long before Lavenham became trendy ( don't tell FD or he'll want one ). Also don't tell 2WWillie about your new bike , or he might want an 800 for his " forever bike ".😅 In the meantime have fun on the new steed .
Brilliant! Long time Suzuki fan… the GSX-S1000GX+ is my dream retirement bike… but that’s two of several other things 😂… and I am a big time torque fanboy 👍👍
Absolutely lovely Taym. I had a feeling it would be this model. I think it will make an excellent sports tourer but it's a shame that Suzuki don't think so. Why oh why hasn't it got a rear rack or at least provision for one? A rack to me is more important and more useful than panniers but it'll be interesting to see what the aftermarket suppliers come up with. Other than that little gripe it's a beauty. 😊
Thanks Ed 😁 yes, just can’t see how a rack is going to fit so reckon it will have to be a tank bag 😁 on the seat thing, yes I have it and will email you😁
Hi Mr. TAYM, I had money on you going for a Kawasaki Z650rs. especially after seeing the green one parked up at Orwells when you parted with the SV. The Suzuki 8R looks fab, but I guess better in the flesh as that sparkly paint doesn't show up quite so well on the vid. But the close up walked round did show it. Very 80's Katana style. The blue, I think, looks fab. Hope you get lots of pleasure from it. Hope to see more of it future mutters.
Very cool TAYM , love the blue and the way they have done black in between and in the light where you stopped it definitely sparkly , I think although it looks a sporty bike the bars look comfortable, it might be a bit down on horses but it looks like it will corner very good because it’s weight looks good although I don’t know how much it weighs. Because I don’t know modern bikes TAMY is it a twin ? I could hear the induction which is lovely and the exhaust sound is quiet but on a tour that will be nice if your on a long ride , what’s your tank hold and range? I think it’s very good , the smoke screen sets it off , and you still have your classic bikes so it’s marvellous lol enjoy and I bet you will have it run in before I run in my classic lol 😊👍🏍️
Enjoy your new bike - very nice looking. I'm wondering if there would actually be much of a difference between the 8R vs the SV650 for touring given similar power and weight although having more torque is better from a day-to-day rideability perspective. The faring is likely what makes the difference - as an FJR1300 owner a good faring make long distances very easy . . . although a good seat is also essential (I'm looking at that very thin seat!!!). After you have had it a while it would be interesting to hear it you think it was the right decision. I'd personally go touring on the Bonneville like Classic Rides!
Yes, time will tell see but I will be unlikely to leave the British isles so don’t think it will be an issue 😁 and of course the bonnie is more than capable and I have in fact just bought all the rails and rack for the it 😁 just need to get the bags 😁 but the bonnie will be for fairer, warmer weather 😁 the Suzuki will be for work and more unpredictable seasons 😁 if you know what I mean 😁 thanks S 😁
Good choice keep the faith with suzuki ...looks better than naked version? ...comfy bars?... worried you might of ended up triumph only channel😉😉😉.Happy new bike time atvb
Do like the new bike, looks really good in the blue, enjoy many miles on it, mind you I love all bikes as do yourself they are the answer to your mental health, enjoy.
It's a beautiful machine. Congratulations and enjoy it in good health. How would you describe the sitting position? Is it comfortable for longer journeys or are you hunched over a bit with pressure on your wrists? I'm looking at this and the sister 8S as a possible new bike. I think both look great but the sitting position would be a deciding factor. I currently ride a CB500F and that has a nice neutral upright position, something I'd like to have again. Cheers and happy riding.
Thanks Martin 😁 I would say slightly forward but comfortable 😁 not too much on the wrists compared to a sports bike but more than an upright bike😁 if you are tallish I think you would find it more comfortable in the lag position than the CB500 😁
You absolutely must put a ‘Marvelous’ counter in your videos 😁 It’s hard to discern one Marvelous bike from another so I’m sure a counter will help 😄 Love that Suzuki ❤
Excellent one TAYM and now you are officially a naughty boy with a sports tourer I guess that what you might call it and it looks better with the fairing on .Nice one TAYM well done and big congrats get the panniers on Mrs TAYM and the it's TAYM 's touring adventures 😉👌👍
Nice bike, good luck with it. I thought you mentioned in a previous upload you'd like a classic, but that went out the window when you mentioned recently that you would have to run it in. How are the wrists and back after a bit more time on it?
Thanks Paul 😁 back and wrists doing just fine at the moment 😁 need to do a blat up north to really see 😁 that will have to wait until first service is out the way 😁
New it !! 😆 congratulations mate. I was looking at one on Monday and wondering if I'd made a mistake buying the T100 instead of waiting for the R8 ??? Love the T100, and it keeps me under control 😆 🤣 Enjoy riding the new beast
My Son works on Suzuki and Triumph and says the Suzuki is a Cracking bike, and the addition of a can and filter will release a few more horses! Good Choice !
Congrats on your new bike🎉 I’m not sure how long it will be till you start collecting points you don’t really want, going by the number of times you have had to reign in. Maybe you should call the bike “John” after John Surtees. 😊
Congratulations on the Purchase of Your New Suzuki GSX 8R TAYM Didn't see that Coming ..Game Boy Dash, Quick shifter, Naughty Boy, Modes Have Fun in the Sun 🌞
Great looking bike,TAYM. I’m assuming it’s a twin (sounds like one) but not a V like the SV ? I’ve never really seen the point of quickshifters on road bikes, but I know you’re a fan. Enjoy your new ride 👍😁👍
Thanks Timbo 😁 yes, a parallel twin 😁 I find the quickshifters very handy for keeping the Tesla owners in their place when at lights or slip roads onto the motorways 😁😂😂😂
Lovely looking bike you a quite tall as well so this fits you better ...its all about the torque thats what you need in the real world ...those 350 j series Enfield s have torque low down thats the secret ...enjoy !
I guessed the bsa or this so 50% right. Not surprised at all. I genuinely think best do it all on mkt. as a lover of twin clocks, the arrangement on this bike is cool
