Hey Julie, great review of a nice looking bike. I did laugh when you picked the bike up to test its weight..haha..I do that too!🤣 Aesthetically it looks very similar to the Camino, and if you hadn't given us the specifications, I would never have known the difference. Hope you don't mind me asking a couple of questions!? Did you say it had provisions for three bottle cages? Is that discounting the mounting points on the front forks (coz who uses those anyway)? And speaking of forks, what are your thoughts on carbon forks, especially on gravel bikes, where the potential to scuff or damage them off road, and perhaps ruin them? Dare I ask..how much is the bike your reviewing, much more expensive than the Camino? As I said earlier, a great review! Just the fight amount of technical details, and a few good action shots!🚴‍♀️ It felt genuine, a truly honest appraisal from a professional rider, including what you would change and what you wouldn't; and not pandering to Sonder in any way (who I'm sure will be glad of your honesty). I enjoyed that, and I think others will too. Perhaps you could try riding them both up that steep hill we rode out if Cromford Wharf, and see which is faster!? Haha, I'm totally joking, you'd need a week's rest in between rides..haha..still waking up in a cold sweat at the thought of that nightmare incline!🤣 Great post Julie, looking forward to the next one. You take care.😊 P.s. did I mention how brilliant the editing was?😉

Thanks Tim and the editor says cheers lol ! The 3 bottle mounting points I referred to are the 2 usual places place one on the top tube. The ones you mention on the forks are there too.Not sure that I’d put bottles on there. Recently the price has been reduced in a sale so it’s best to check on the Sonder website. Obviously the price is dependent on the chosen group set. Re : carbon forks They definitely take the ‘sting’ out of the ride. Can’t say I’ve scratched the carbon forks on the Camino. Would I really worry about that? The bike is for using so what the hell! Thanks for all your comments. Have a great Easter. Take care.

Julie, we have different ideas on ‘plushness’? yours is a carbon fork, mine is a 150 mm air sprung fork with compression/rebound damping. 😂 Great review of a gravel racer. I ❤ Titanium.

Cheers Tim. You’ve just gotta go with the flow and chill without suspension lol ! I once had a carbon full suss’ mtb and felt like I was riding a camel lol ! Great to hear from you, as always. Take care .

It's quite low stack. How comfortable is it over longer distances, for non pros with less flexibility?

Race oriented bikes ways tend to be lower, giving you a more aero dynamic position. However I didn't find the Sedona extreme. It will be dependent on your flexibility and what you can adapt to. If this is an issue the Camino would definitely give you a more relaxed position.

Great review and grear bike but I'm with you on the 2x, I think it makes the bike more versatile

Thanks Lisa I agree with you 100% . To be fair to Sonder, as mentioned in the video, it is available with a variety of set ups. The bike in the video is just a demo. When I raced cross, 1 x is definitely the way to go because you don’t need a big range of gears and you certainly don’t have time to back off whilst the chain moves from one chain ring to another. On the road or fast gravel tracks I spin out .

Camino - high stability. Seonda - high agilty. Ironically the Camino felt quite at home on audaxes ride given the high stability it have on the long flat night ride.
