Inclusivity: I have been informed that the auto captions that RU-vid creates, struggle a little. So from January 2023, all of my videos will include, edited closed captions. Look for the CC symbol, I hope this helps.
Hey Julie, not sure if there's a glitch on You-tube, but there are two separate posts with exactly the same content..think the only difference is the titles???😅
Would love to use the tent for a Roscoff to Santander bikepacking trip I've been planning. It would also come in very useful as guest accomodation for biking weekends away in the campervan.
hi julie, I'm just getting into this rabbit hole of bike technicalities. I'm about to order this now for 50/50 bikepacking and road. Do i need an entire extra pair of wheelset to put in a thinner tyre maybe 32 - 35mm or what's the lowest tyre size can I fit on the the stock 45 mm wheelset.
good to see the boats coming along, I've got a mini trip in the peaks I'd like to do - not wild camping but cycling the permitter of the park staying near Matlock just over half way. My husband also aims to walk the west highland way over 5 days which is a bit more ambitious. Good luck - Gem
I watch a lot of camping videos because it helps with my depression. Ive decided I am going to start going instead of watching and hope that it helps. I have zero camping gear so I thought well I'll search for a contest contest and start building gear. Another RU-vidr that I've been talking with suggested that I start with hiking say help with my depression. So I'm going to start that as well. I've been pretty bad so I need to do something or im going to have to take a visit to hospital tonlet them help. Im hoping i can do thi on my own.
Great video and I ride through Shardlow most weeks. I’m really trying to plan a bikepacking and a two night wildcamp around Ennerdale Water in the Lakes, I hope I make it and that tent would be perfect for it! Keep up the great videos, inspiration to keep getting on my bike!
Boat living! Looking forward to seeing how you progress on the build. My dream trip at the moment is through Italy. A slow trip filled with food and vineyards!
Hi Julie, loving the look of the boat. Just starting out bikepacking so I am going through your videos, just watched the kit list one which was very interesting (I tend to carry lots, need to cut down on what I carry).
Life on a boat sounds bliss ? Planning the Badger Divide in Autumn. Just thinking about camping gear now . My first bike packing adventure. Loving the content 👍 🚴.
Great update on the boat, can’t wait to see the finished result. I haven’t done bikepacking yet but plan to give it a go soon, to disappear in to the peaks for a weekend would be amazing. The tent would be a great start. Thank you for all the great videos.
Thanks for the update, it's gonna look mint! If I was lucky enough to win the tent I'd give it to my son who wants to start coming on bikepacking adventures with me. I'll keep my fingers crossed 🤞🏻. Take care
Hi, In September I'm doing my first bikepacking trip - the C2C from Whitehaven and back on the Hadrian's Wall Route with my son so that tent would be great for one of us :)
Hi Julie I did a three day bikepacking trip last year but stayed in hotels my next goal is to wild camp but my present tent is way too heavy The bobcat would be spot on
Love the progress on your soon-to-be new home…good luck with the bike(s) 😬 My old backpack packing tent was too heavy to bike pack, so donated to Alpkit 😁 Could do with a lightweight for my bucket list ride…The Trans Dinarica, a new cross-border cycling route, connecting Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Beginning in Slovenia’s Soča Valley 😅
I have a Brompton and I’m thinking of bike packing around Dorset. I think the tent would fit great on the rear rack. Please place me in the draw for the tent. Cheers x
Julie really great to see the boat progress coming along, having done two major house renonations pretty much solo I know the hard work that goes into this type of thing. Would love to enter the draw for the micro tent being only 5ft 6 😂, slowly building up my bikepacking gear and a tent would be great. I've been obsessed with reading bike touring books, most recently Janipar and I suppose the answer or where is so hard to say because I want to explore so much… Good luck everyone. X
Fantastic, the boat is looking great, keep the progress vids coming… makes a change from bikes (lol!) I doing the trans Cambrian way in few weeks, the tent looks really nice, be perfect for me and Fred :)
I would make great use of this Julie, haveca mini adventure planned the beginning of August when I finally get a couple of days to myself! I was planning on car camping and doing circular routes but this would give me far more options ❤😊
Nice to see the boat and an update on the progress. I'm planning a bikepacking trip whilst the wife is away with our daughter and grankids the last week of August. I watched the review you did on this and at the time thought that could be a great replacement for my tent i've had for the last 20 years. Fingers crossed.
Hey Julie, glad 2 see that ur floating palace is coming along, thanx 4sharing..doesn't look much bike storage space though!?🤔 I remember the review u did for that Bob Cat tent, nice little bit of kit, and a great idea to do a giveaway with it! Good luck to the lucky winner🤞fingers crossed for you all! Take care Julie😊 (as always, shout out to the editor 👍).
I do quite a bit of backpacking and that tent would be a great alternative and far more stealthy than my current 2-man (person!) set up. Please sling me into the draw 🙂
Ha ha yep.....no one knows where Froggatt becomes Curbar 🤣. Great idea for a ride and definitely a great loop. PS You can avoid those steps at the end of Froggatt btw there's a path that you can access (normally where there are cars parked up) just before where you went through the gate. It then rejoins the main path near where you added your comment about it being easier grim here.
Cheers. Only tiny bit as you enter the concessionary BW onto Froggatt Edge . To be honest when I rode that section previously on 45mm tyres I rode all of this 5/ 10 metre section. May be I should have just gone for it! It really is such a short section it doesn’t really need much of a mention.
Sure it depends on conditions but I have ridden on cx and 40mm tyres. You have to choose your route and scrub some speed off, as I’m sure you know. Thanks for contributing.
Super video I'm heading over that way soon to visit my mate in youlgreave hopefully to get him out on his new E- bike ,thanks once again for the video 👍
