Incarcerated people in Illinois haven't had the ability to get onto parole since the '70s. But a bill in Springfield is working to bring it back: providing parole hearings for inmates who've served at least 20 years in prison. Advocates say parole eligibility could provide hope for inmates serving lengthy sentences.

Parole has always been around he’s talking earned good time that yea murderers don’t get or 85% violent cases but everyone else does who doesn’t have those things hindering them. Rauner changed the law in 18 that everyone can get it now except violent cases it’s used to be no class x’s or even attempted class exes or if you’ve been to the joint twice you couldn’t have it now everybody could have it and parole is been around forever this guy was paroled he even said after 21 years he was supposed to serve 40 what do you call that he’s lucky he didn’t have to do the forty piece like they do now or at least 38 son!
