I did 2yrs in div 1 -A4! Supposedly the deck was where al capone was houses in the cell that was 2 cells connected as 1. I left to prison from div 1 april 03 smh… That was what they said al capone and his security slept in there with him. I stayed on A4 from 01-03.
Did 5 years in Division 1 back in the late 80s, early 90s. It was rough but I too made a good life after some bad choices. Thankful for a 2nd chance because it’s easy to throw your life away in that lifestyle.
@@midwestspeed7889 I was in most of them decks at some point or the other but never A-4. Back in the day school wings C2 or D2. I truly remember Mother York and the Sunday chicken! Such a beautiful soul she was.
Was in Division 1 for 15 months, 2004-2005. The Deck went up and I almost died in there. Still remember Cook'n some Good Ramen on those metal bunk frames though. Thank God the old spirits in there changed my life around, lol. Havent been back to jail since. RIP Division 1.
I did a year in division 1 back in 1996 for armed robbery....back then, everyday it was tension in the air between the gangs and you never knew what was gon happen cause you figure everybody had shanks and was gangbangin ...It was a hell of an experience and I'm thinking about writing a book about all the sh!t that was going on and what I went through...But anyway I ended up getting 6 years in prison, did 2 straight, got out and never went back✌👍✌👍
You know the stories of the walking guard that's actually not really there like a ghost or some shit this place is definitely haunted I know of a lot of scary shit went on in there.
You ain’t kidding all threw the 90s I was in and out for traffic shit petty fighting shit the bullshit that you would be held for a month because you missed court and had a no bond hold it was messed up but I survived the gang banging shit all of that it was an experience I lived in Cicero so
That guy talkin is full of it so he doesn't know the exact history about Capone he doesn't know anything about his stay there, there's no documentation? Gtfoh
Was there almost 5 years, ‘90-‘95. It was wild!! Tore the deck up many, many times. Lots of memories there, making grilled cheese on the bed, burning up milk cartons. Jammin the doors, commissary, Sunday Church chicken with mother york. Man those are some memories!!
I first went to Cook County Jail in 1988. It was an extremely violent place and sexual predatory behavior was rampant on B-2. I'll never forget what I seen and heard there. That experience prepared me for anything prison had to show me. Thank you Mother York!🙏
I was 18 in 88 cought an agg batt against Cicero police and the EM Sheriff I did a year of county time and that’s were they housed us I was a worker we shoveled the snow cleaned in front of the courthouse but the shit I seen I was yhtew there in the 90s a few times with the 2 mths stint or game you would play with the courts for small Felonise
I was there for 90 days. When I first took the elevator up the guard told us Al Capon rode in this elevator. That was a wake up call for me. I have not been back for 28 years. 😊
Yep o agree that’s actually we’re they put me almost every time I went there div 2 sucked didn’t like the open bunk shit you really couldn’t do anything cook, make hooch, or tattoo ink are deck was sewn up we had guards my cousin was an co there and I got suger coffee smokes anything I wanted I did a year there of county time we were on the outside of the jail a lot we had weed alcohol fuck it wasn’t bad if your plugged so I had a mellow time you just have to know how to jail lol
@@Anonymous92838 the same gangs and cartels are in every city in the US. 26% of our federal prisoners are illegals. For sodomizing children murder rape drugs. Your okay with that. Liberals love criminals and sickos. Thanks for showing your true colors.
@Death2Life312 o 😁 👍think he meant shady /shytown like that friend who u invite over and he robs u while u cook at the BBQ and u look all over the house the next day look for ur stuff u know shady
They are going to make it into a state of the art recreational facility for murderers, rapist, pimps, drug dealers, pedophiles, addicts, thieves, etc. I know someone that saw the plans, it will have a theatre, swimming pools, saunas, kitchen, recording studios, game rooms, pool halls, dance hall. There will be a large pizza oven with delivery golf carts to deliver pizza to your cell. A womens section will have a hair solon and nail spa. This is not a joke.
It has nothing to do with politics. This facility is extremely ran down and unsafe for humans in general just because you’re in jail or prison doesn’t mean that you can be confined like a prisoner from the 1600s. The doors and cells are out of date and not property standards. The equipment inside is from nearly 100 years ago. It’s just not safe in general. It has nothing to do with being nicer to criminals.
I remember being in division 1 for 2 years of my life and it was when I was on the wrong path and inside there is were i finally saw the light and figured out that gang banging is stupid and it almost ruined my life and I would of been locked up for 30 years but thank God that gave me another chance and they let me free and I got out of that type of life and now I'm on the right path to success and fame and only the bad memories about that place are left since they are destroying it and alot of my so called friends are still locked up or dead but my whole life changed once I was in division 1 it is something I don't no one to go there for being young and stupid but that is how life is growing up in little Village the gang life is all you see growing up and they treat u like family until the shit goes down and they start tricking that's what I didn't like that my own so called brother rated me out and that life ain't for me fuck that I'm good and I still live in da hood but I'm on some other type of shit and want to move out cuz I don't want my kids to grow up here cuz I know they are gonna join a gang if they grow up here since this how life is in the hood but they are still people that live here but ain't in a gang but there people that like that type of life style and get brainwashed into doing crime and killing people because this kids don't know any better since their whole life revolves around the gang life but It is wat it is
Man man man Good old division 1 🤦🏽♂️ man all that shit was a complete hell hole from the dick doctor (If you know you know) to the everyday hell of being locked down… man the guards would even whoop your ass coming down the tunnel man Division 1 C2 the good old cat walk man I’m glad I ain’t never gotta see that place again 🤦🏽♂️
The hunch back guy and if you didn’t let him do his job you would be sent to the 3rd bullpen for that ass whoooping lol the last one by the property desk and remember the safe that was right by the door before you went in lol to see the doc
Actually it's being demolished to make way for a couple of high rise divisions similar to the new rtu there or like you would see at L.A. county jails.
Same here man, C2, C3, D2, E3 and F2 I believe. Some crazy moments up in there, the stupidities we do at ducha young age. Them decks going up was no joke either. Good thing I made it through that part of life and came out much, much better.
Because it's been found that it doesn't fix criminals. Only breaks them further. Often irreversibly. Reform does though. Ample rehabilitation in mental health and introducing positive outlets through career training and recreation.
What’d u do to get thrown in there? Are the cells air conditioned in the summer? What if u have a phone call come in how do they find u to tell u there’s a call? I have a sister who has a really big mouth. She’d be great at that job
I have been driving by that building for years. I always wondered how it looks inside. I heard, the County Jail, is nothing to play with and the conditions are horrible. Tom Dart, could do a lot better.
I was there division 1 A-4 from 2001-2003 the deck where al capones cell was a double cell. Al capone cell was the gambling cell were we shoot dice lol
A grade school buddy's dad was a chaplain there in the earluy 60s, and he preached a sermon in my church once where I remember him telling about going there to minister to an inmate about to die in the electric chair.
Every time I see one of these insights in to a prison I am dumbfounded by how anyone can glorify that disgusting life. Pathetic disgusting life. These idiot disgusting rappers today who glorify this disgusting life, the mobsters of the past, any one, it just dumbfounds me how anyone can paint this in a positive light.
I was in Cook County Jail in 2017-2018. I'm starting law school in August to pursue becoming a criminal defense lawyer. Amazing things can come out of the place, just saying.
Two beds in every cell. One "grill" by the bars and one on the metal wall. Person sleeping on the grill was right next to the toilet. Cellie wanted to shit - he was hanging his bed sheet.
@@allikhaur was just bored and when they turned the lights off at night it was hundreds of them that came out they was so damn reckless they use to climb up our cover if it was hanging on the floor
@@saywtfiwant5217 yep i was in div1 A well they gave us commissary boxes and at night we had to put the boxes up so the rats wouldnt go in them and eat the food.
Cell 0 behind the shower, water bag for workout. Who needs a razor? Razors, razors, razors - you go to court tommorow you need a razor? :-) No hot water and no mirrors in the cells. Needed to shave? You had to make your own mirror, stretch some silver chip bag foil on your drinking cup. Wanted to smoke? Just use some tea and toilet paper wrapping. Somebody always had a lighter and would let you use it for some cool aids or dinner cookies.
Know someone right now in Olney Illinois with a violation that cost $2500 but it's their first offense & a REAL attorney should be able to help get it knocked down to a lessor charge since it's a first offense & no proof of the charge. The person can't afford an attorney so they're left with a public defender that we haven't figured out if he's just going through the motions so he can move up the ladde or possibly become so overwhelmed that he may be letting everyone hang out to dry because it's just easier. It's like he's forgotten he's suppose to be defending & helping the people. The system's fatally flawed & it's not a racial thing it's a money thing. The system's extremely lethal to the poor & ruining thousands of lives daily. Even locking people up for not being able to pay a fine, the domino effect of one mistake can literally ruin your entire life. The system's in need of drastic change starting with adding more public defenders & paying them better. Because way to many people are locked up for small things, mistakes or they're just poor & can't afford legal help. And people wonder why protests were occurring, Should've been all of us out there not just one race protesting on the streets in order to make change . We need cops but we also need to be treated fairly by the system & all to often were not. If you're poor it only takes one mistake & your life's ruined. My niece was just released for basically being homeless after her husband threaten her with a knife & she borrowed a car & had nowhere to go & the owner wanted her car back but couldn't reach my niece because she couldn't afford a phone, the owner called the cops to locate her. She went to jail , lost her job because they kept pushing her court date out . She was then released & has 2 children to care for on her own . We got her a car & she immediately started job hunting but it's hard to find a job or an apartment with a record so she's living in a hotel that she can barely afford & then needs to feed the kids. What really got me about her being incarcerated was they charged her with stealing the car even though she borrowed it. Once she finally got out she was basically sent to live on the streets. The jails don't let you job hurt prior to being released, they don't help you find a place to stay either. This girl has nobody to help. I'm on the west coast with spinal issues & very little means. I don't understand why there's not places set up to help these people transition & have councilors set up in the jails to help these people job hunt online prior to release. They're let out & basically thrown in the street. She's trying so hard to hold her job, she has no baby sitter & the kids couldn't go to school because of being quarantined , she's been to the hospital twice . Once you go to jail you're basically set up to fail after you're released unless you have help or family & many don't. She needs help desperately so she doesn't lose her children. All over one incident that wasn't even her fault she was a victim. Since she couldn't afford an attorney nor did the public defender help her she's lost her job, home & is struggling to survive with 2 young children. Would've been nice had she at least been able to job hunt while in jail or if there was help getting her a place to stay when she was released so she could shower , sleep & be ready to work. The system sucks
