What about animal waste bags provided by council, Biogone, Home Compostable Waste Bag AS 5810. I always have a couple after my daily walk. Pet waste on the list but not the bags?
Fantastic concept - I love the FOGO bins and please provide more info on how this will help improve our farmers' soils (so that red soil windstorms in Sydney and elsewhere are minimised - we need to reduce desertification!). I couldn't listen to all of the video because the background music was so loud, repetitive and annoying. Soz. Just the truth. Thanks. xoxo
What options do you have available to homes with large families where collection of red bins per fortnight will not be enough to dispose of our waste even when doing the right thing in sorting between the red/yellow and green bins.
Hi Denise, if you place all food waste in the FOGO bin, that should remove almost 40% of the current red bin content every week. Even though the red bin is being collected fortnightly, it has gone from 140L per week to 240L per fortnight. Also, the recycling bin hasn’t changed in size or frequency. If you're still having trouble, in March you will be able to order another red bin at an additional cost.
