NEW 'blackbox_decode' FIX in PTB v0.53!!! 💪 😎 🔥 

PIDtoolbox makes it so much easier to understand pid tuning. Understanding what I'm looking at made a huge difference. Now my quad feels like a maglev train, smooth but on rails!

The toolbox is just getting better and better! Appreciate your constant tweaks.

Interesting, I have been selecting log files from wherever for a while now without issue. Just a MAC thing?

I actually looked at implementing something like this a while back, but I didn't spend the time wading in to figure out the Matlab licensing model so that I could install a dev environment. It's been about 20 years since I wrote Matlab code (and I never used the System call). I did read the code and the docs a bit and it seems like the System() call should find blackbox_decode in my path, but it doesn't work despite the fact that I copied it to ~/bin/. Thinking about it now, I may just have to set $PATH before launching PIDToolbox, but that would require launching from the command line. Anyway, hopefully this fix will work well enough once I start tuning again this spring. Copying the file was always one more step to remember when tuning. Thanks for the usability improvement! I think the ultimate workflow would be to build PIDToolbox into Betaflight, so I could just land and look at the STEP response curves. But I also can't imagine that being in any way easy, and even if it was implemented I doubt that it would fit on any FC. 🙂

I'm 27 min in to opening a file, status still says please wait. Watched video for 5 hours trying to figure this tool out, how to use it, and can't even get it to operate. I'm just about to quit.

May I ask on what I am doing wrong because on my Mac and my PC when I click on choosing the log files it stuck at importing file 1, subfile 1. I've followed your instruction and put the main folder on desktop and log files in a separated folder. Also when I tried to delete everytthing in my Mac and re-install it once PTB opened for 1 min it closed by itself. As for my windows it still stuck at importing file 1, subfile 1

I haven't had to copy those files into the data folder for a long time. Is there a way this could be an option? I really don't want those files in every data folder I use, or am I missing something?

Good thing, still I think the solution to put bbdecode in Windows folder or any other PATH variable folder is cleaner.
