I hope they remember the key ingredient: 'Blade Runner' isn"'t just cyberpunk, its also noir-its that mix of genres that really make it stand out. I hope the game devs remember that.
Real Cyberpunk ALWAYS is also noir. It's only nowadays that media uses shallow Cyberpunk backdrops without much meaning and without this dark, forboding atmosphere, which originally was integral to Cyberpunk. Neuromancers world, the origin of it all, blends in seamlessly with the dark noir tones of Blade Runner.
I know I’m late, but this game is not set before the black out. In the Blade Runner timeline, the black out happens in 2022. Labyrinth takes place in 2033.
Adore Blade Runner, love the original game. Bought it on release in its big box with a VHS of Blade Runner shrink wrapped to it 😂 quite a bargain and a clever marketing tool. Watch the movie to understand the game. So pleased when it made it to the Xbox series recently. Anyway, only just stumbled onto this. CANNOT WAIT. Desperately hoping it comes to the Xbox series! 🤞🤞🤞
I'm hoping it will be a non-combative first person puzzle game like _Observer where you have to use your detective skills to piece together what's happened.
Hell no. It needs to be a solid mix of detective style gameplay mixed with some good shootout gameplay just like the movies. It needs to be like 70 percent detective work and 30 percent combat. The combat needs to be impactful though. Deus ex games come to mind.
@@elsenorloco84 I agree. It needs to be detective/story based with combat just there to fill in the gaps. But it should be like deus ex combat where you can just stealth through killing everyone or just avoid combat entirely.
I think we will take the role of observing environments and investigating past events from a terminal, using technology to manipulate data and perspective to gather new insights. we may be have a conflict between our employer and what we discover. my guess
Will they make another Blade Runner movie? I was disappointed by Black Lotus not was it short without a conclusion it had a terrible animation that just didn't look right. I really hope they make the next one similar to BLADE RUNNER 2049 - "Black Out 2022" Anime Short or a CGI professional looking version.
Huge Blade Runner fan, I have the movies, animated series and the comics and have both the original Blade Runner game and the pointless remastered version but I cant get excited until i know its a 3rd person game otherwise I'm not going to be interested i don't like 1st person games, it looked like there was a 3rd person view in the trailer but that could be cinematic. any who fingers crossed, be great to back in that world again
Do you get motion sick? I can understand that being an issue. I know it is for some people I know. If it is first person, I reckon it will be relatively docile and match the tone of the original game.
@@ealing456 I do sometimes takes me a good while to use to it but I just prefer seeing the character in general when I play games, never been a fan of just seeing your hands as a character. I hope we get some more details soon I’ve been google for details ever since the trailer dropped. We’re also getting a tv show soon to.
I stopped watching when I hear ".. the masterpiece that is 2049..." ...... the first movie is a legit candidate for the greatest movie ever made ... 2049 is an above average movie, I've seen tons of better fan made BR short films and illustrations than 2049 ... I had to stop watching your video.
lmao, you think 2049 is a masterpiece??? Christ, I don't understand how you can love BR and think that poor excuse of a sequel is worthy of the name...
