@@nurgle7797 Nah, he knows exactly when to pick a fight. On Dust2, after his team takes A 4v5, he knows to run through B site to shoot one guy in the back in CT spawn. If his team loses he just camps in spawn and tries to avoid fights to save his KD.
You're right about iM. I noticed exactly the same Opening attempts as well. But despite that some idiots on HLTV forum tried to argue that he is an eco cobra because his dot was close to blameF on one of the graphs.
19:20 Not sure what EliGE talked about, but I've always though of it as entrying vs. opening. Opening is part of spacetaking, but you can also take space through utility, trading, or set plays based off antistrat/reads. Your dedicated spacetakers are also not always your star players. It's usually off aggressive lurking like b1t and xertioN or by whoever is an entry like generic_IGL (another example is iM going for Mid on Ancient every time). Star players like NiKo or ZywOo take space in a more situational manner (using their superior gamesense to see gaps in the enemy map control in real time). That or they get flash assists and utility to go for high impact openers like against the CT on Mirage Cat or against a staggered T-side push up Banana Inferno. With openers though, it's similar to entrying where you get the first kill, but the context is different. Like you pointed out, entrys are low percentage fights, taken usually by the most aggressive or weakest fragging member of your team. Opening picks are almost always 50/50 duels or better (off flashes etc.) that star players love going for because they are simply better than the opponent they peek. Openers are helpful to spread CTs thin (though not much more impactful than a regular kill against T-sides), but entry kills are the most important in the game since it guarantees (usually) half of the bomb site in terms of map control and 2 entries is a guarantee post-plant.
@@TheSuperappelflap Anyone who says that is wrong. Entrying is when you kill someone specifically in a bombsite as a T pushing into the site. It is not the first kill in a round. If it's 3v3 and apEx runs into B and kills someone, he just got an entry frag. Opener though is just the first kill. The whole purpose of an opener is getting man advantage overall and the context of the kill is irrelevant. You can decide to make zero distinction, but then you'd have to get rid of the concept of entry fraggers completely since it's incongruent with the belief that openers are entry kills.
@@TheSuperappelflap Short A is inside of the bombsite though. Remember that Dust2 on A is the larger site. The distinction has to be made due to the concept of entry fraggers. Also due to pro play and HLTV statistics. Again, if we don't make the distinction, we have to literally pretend entry fragging doesn't exist. Snax and NiKo are, in fact, doing the exact same thing according to you.
he is a passive lurker. and pretty good as well. but some of the time he tries to do some quirky 200 iq plays which doesn't work out and it looks super bad for him
Being a "passive lurker" on T side, is just a euphemism for him camping in spawn for 90 seconds, then saving if his team loses 4v5, and running around the other bombsite to shoot 1 guy in the back for free if his team wins 4v5. He is pretty much useless either way. You'd be better off having someone in a Sanji role who just drops guns and throws util for his teammates and then tries to get one kill with a pistol. That would have more impact than baitF.
Dude went 15-4 on the T side just getting free kills shooting people in the back in CT spawn after his teammates take A site 4v5, and hunting eco frags. They won the half 8-4. Second half on CT he got 6 kills and 5 deaths in 11 rounds, fnatic going 4-6 in the half. You dont need a guy on T side who can only frag if you are already winning and only makes money if you already have a massive bank. You dont need a guy on CT side who can only save but doesn't have any impact. For an example of how to be useful on T side in such a role you need to look at a player like ropz, who is arguably the best at it in the world. He also lurks mid/B on T side Dust2, but he doesnt just try to get one free kill, he actively controls and punishes the rotations through mid every single round, whether Faze push A or B, he makes sure you dont get past those doors for free. And on CT side, if youre going to stay alive in such a high percentage of rounds, you need to get kills and win a couple 1v2 clutches. Like Jame on a good day. BaitF just doesnt have the initiative or gamesense to do any of that. He's a paperweight that only functions when you would win the game 4v5 anyway. Sanji was a more impactful player.
That 5th round straight to jail lurk was actually genius, look at how many resources go into finding him around mid and short, he maybe didn't expect 3 dudes but he knew they would have to hunt for him before initiating the retake after he pressured mid
Dont u think if he stayed mid or lower it would give him room to cause more impact and caos? Like man, he just avoided all of the space created for him to play and if it wasnt krimz they most likely would get destroyed.
@@sui4113 If he stayed lower or mid he would be instantly dead, they had 0 control over long, and he had just pressured mid. Keeping 3 players occupied and paranoid for at least 10 seconds fucking around in mid and on short is pretty damn valuable, as you can see they make a terrible fucking push up cat due to having 0 utility, 1 kit and no map control. There's also a high likelyhood that he catches CTs looking up mid or long from CT / CT Mid coming out of B - worst case scenario with how he played it, he guaranteed kills any CT rotating upper -> lower -> cat without being traded due to his positioning. Considering the CT setup, sending 4 dudes up short was a great call, and it's really unlucky that 2 players die in the 4v2 on execute. Dunno, not a BlameF fanboy by any means, just felt like voo completely ignored the possibility that there is a "why" to the round to shit on what I think was a pretty neat round. I don't think he is "playing to save" at all
@@Bukkitall I 100% agree with u that there is a “why” on that play, but i do think it could”ve been played better. For exemple imagine if he hides lower and he gets them by surprised or get one kill on the guy flanking from long and they understant it was the long player. There were so many plays he could’ve done on that lurk. And if the other 2 players doesnt get those kills he wasnt on a position to contribute to the end of the round. Also, they new for a fact the long player was alive, based on how the post plant was played. So blamef on that lurk was not ment to cause 3 players to worrie about him but only 1 or 2. To me the problem with blame is not just the baits he plays, but his attitude. Like his choices almost always arent the wrongs one but never the best/needed for the team sucess. Yeah he plays for the protocol/system, however, you need to risk one or two plays during the match. Just like he does on the ecos.
6:50 is the right play. I know it looks passive but taking the long route makes sure that you will face maximum one player and not getting engaged with multiple players. Also he will have information fro the rest to play around. Let me say it like this, I would not have you as captain in a real war 😅 BlameF's IQ is way higher than some of you RU-vidrs or "experts" think. It does not help that so many low-level iq casters keep getting jobs at PGL, ESL or what it is called.
cs isnt a real war. its a video game. and in this video game running around to maybe shoot one guy in the back after your team wins the round 4v5 is not effective.
@@beastfr0meast93 no it's not, in a real war you get satellite and drone information before you go into battle and if you know where the enemies are you throw a predator missile on top of them. Call of duty is more accurate to real war than counter strike lmao
The iM argument just misses the point. It's not that he's necessarily hunting them, it's that he's getting them and they're being treated as equal to the impact the other players have in gun rounds. He is (supposed to be) the star rifler of NAVI and even post-break he's (at best) their third best player while also padding those third best numbers in second best spots with the most eco frags. If there's two players performing at X level and one player gets double the eco frags I automatically value their output less.
Truly, he can thank hltv rating system for having good stats as they value eco frags the same as full buy frags, but if you watch Navi games, you will see JL, B1t and Aleksi playing those hard spots, going in first and first two getting hard and important frags while Aleksi is sacrificing himself for his players
Na'Vi don't have a star rifler role, as in they don't give a single rifler the best position on all maps, like Donk gets for example. iM is a playmaker in Navi's system, which comes with some good positions and some bad. He plays Mirage con but also plays Nuke door, he plays Ancient mid but also plays Anubis B, and so on. Same with jL and B1t, positions were not handpicked based on some romantic fan fic who's star who's anchor idea, but based on concrete facts within Blade's system. One more fact about iM is that his stats are dragged down by the first half of the year, he's the highest ranked NaVi player in the last 3 months. The "(at best) 3rd best player in NaVi" theory will be put to the test next year.
Well BaitF is a good player and focusing on his personal decisions doesnt do the bating justice. But in combination with a team the guy is absolutley horrendous and every single team hes gotten into, where he should be an improvement they didnt improve at all. And i might agree that he doesnt do it consciously but damn is the baiting baked into his muscle memory:D
Because you pad your stats and steal kill reward from your teammates, then use it to buy a rifle to camp spawn while your team plays 4v5 with less money in the rounds that actually matter.
@@TheSuperappelflapif I'm understanding this correctly, the problem isn't necessarily eco hunting but that he's a bad player in general (making it a 4v5)? And eco hunting is disliked because it kinda uses stats to hides the fact that they're bad?
@@jonteSUPERcodMASTER BlameF is by no means a bad player. He's just not 1.2 rating good like his stats suggest. That does not mean he is a bad player at all.
@@jonteSUPERcodMASTER it's bad because he only plays the game when enemy is on eco and he can pad his stats but he doesn't show up on gun rounds. This leads to teams hiring him based on his stats when with his play style he should be farming stats baiting people in solo queue faceit instead of being pro
