I'm so glad to see manual transmissions being given all positive reviews for we car enthusiasts really want them to be saved and continue being manufactured as they give more live fun and focus to drivers
For the M2 specifically - the majority of auto-reviewers much prefer the auto transmission due to gearing (8spd) and power band of the S58. I've driven manuals my entire life, but if I were to get an M2, I'd go auto.
@@kabelomutubi9197 Take it easy and be patient while you practice. Driving manual is a thing you get a "feel" for. Try turning off the radio and just listen to the sound of engine as you make your shifts. As you get more confident start pushing the car harder and the fun will be worth the time you spent learning.

What a review! Absolutely loved this review alot because the gearbox in this Manual M2 is the same gearbox that's in the new Toyota Supra Manual and I like that Ciro mentioned that car, it gave me goosebumps because I really adore the Supra and this M2 kind of resembles that car in a more powerful platform. Please do a video review of the new Supra Manual when it obviously launches 😭 it will really make my year. I want to see how that car compares to this M2. You guys are flying the SA Flag high with yourll's content. Love every single video I watch. You guys are the best motoring platform in the world for me
I kinda feel they are comparing it to the old one, more than the other reviewers just reviewing 'the new car' on it's own merits. As an enthusiast, I can see where TH are coming from. From a very average driver perspective (me), I can see where Ciro is coming from. Neither wrong... Different perspective 👍🏼
Overall, I love my BMW with a manual shift - because that's when a person is certainly driving. As opposed to being "taken for a ride". Pun intended! L😂L Too bad for me, I guess. Thankfully, I love how the show has been making greater strides./ You are up there with the best car journos man. Keep it up, Ciro! PS: LL, you drove over an American ant. Sounds like every M240i review I've seen thus far. I can confidently say, no one asked for a "civilized" M2.🤦♂The previous gen is about to gain hero status in the BMW community.
AA Travel shops provide an international licence based on your SA licence. But to be honest none of us have ever had to use it, so we haven't tested if foreign cops will accept it
Always love watching a Ciro video! But clearly this is not a car for me. I like my rough edges. The supra is not an M car, not even comparable to the F87 M2 in terms of driving dynamics. Wait for the new Z4 to be reviewed and ask that question again.
Hey BMW, hers's an idea. The M2 & M4 will be two- door coupes, the M5 will be the 4 door sedan and reserve the estate body type exclusively for the M3.
To justify the purchase of this car would BMW needs to reduce the weight of this little piggy to 3k pounds.. 3800 is to heavy and weighs the same as a M3
