Those cylinders and headers are positively industrial! I can't believe it's actually a runner - the engine is so clean looking, no wires or plumbing visible. Did you see the torque reaction when it fired up?? That surely must slow the Earth's rotation a fraction each time you start it!
Currently i have a R100 R Mystic in my garage for servicing and detailing and in my mind it was something of this look that could easily be done it. A typical Cafe Racer/Scrambler look works so well with these big boxer engines! I like it very much! 👌
Looks bonkers, sounds bonkers. Although they're going to have some trouble trying to shove an air box and filter into that tiny space that's seemingly occupied with the rear shock.
Battery? WTF did the rider use to start it electrically in the video? Some other BMW sorcery? And it’s CATALYTIC, not “catalitac”. But you have a solid point I think…production bike, if there is one…will have some odd ons. How would they ever do open intakes and those pipes and be compliant, and will they add the obligatory BMW rear wheel mud guard and an ugly plate holder?
@@GiancarloBenzina if only there was some kind of hand held computer you could search the greatest depository of information in all of human history to work out what a “Diavel 1260S” is…
Looks OUTSTANDING as it is! Some very nice machining. Very clean and uncluttered. Looks badness…in an almost pink paint ffs! BUT…unlikely bits will make it to production. Open intakes? Those beautiful short pipes? The unobstructed rear end?
Muscle bike seems like a good term for it since it wouldn't have much of corner burning due to those jugs poking out the sides. That being said it's a really cool concept. I'd love to see them do something bonkers like this though with a smaller motor. Maybe a more extreme R nine T.
@@ripmax333 then good for you and your family. Luck me I don’t have my own family yet and just finished payment on my overpriced 4x4. So time to buy an overpriced motorcycle as soon as it arrives in 2nd hand market
I wonder how much of this will make into production. Clearly the sound won't and will need a better rear end and plate holder. At least BMW Motorrad is having a bit of fun for a change
most stunning concept since the r18 concept, and them we had the actual r18.... I therefore have no hopes for this one, if it eventuallu makes it to production
Mate are you serious? Diavel and Rocket isn't competition since they're cruisers. And R20 is a musclebike... Diavel has almost double the HP of an R18. And drops an R18 in less than a second. I speak from experience
Can somebody please educate me in those two things sticking out on both sides of the motorcycle underneath the gas tank. I think it looks awful and an obstruction as well.
Weight and wheelbase, please... Because the factory R18 is not exactly a motorcycle, more is like a train, maybe the Midnight Express, only Hercule Poirot is absent.
No one is wrong, we are just tired of seeking who's who. Well guess what, the real one came and it's the responsibility of the real one to be known. Who's the real one? the answer to that is for you to seek, if you're too tired to look for it then you're clearly just not interested. Simply enough, those who seek answers dives into the wilderness while keeping their tongue and those who do not, turns back and speaks as if they know something.
BMW will go Bagger-Racing and smashing the current players, just to brute-force attention to the Boxer showing it‘s way better than the old V twins. Though it‘s missing one point. To sell those bikes, they need to have built a US culture of Hot-Rod bikes of the 50s, the 60s or 80s…. But nothing of that has existed, the R80GS though did. And I can‘t still see a heritage GS that is serious about it from BMW. Hilarious waste of money or market.
I would take the chassis and stick a Moto guzzi engine in the frame, looks great but if you ever drop it, that looks like a brand new engine immediately.
