We plan to read through some of these this coming year as well. We read through the entire Sarah Plain and Tall series this school year. My kids 10&13 loved it!😊
So many sweet memories with Memoria Press Enrichment and Book of Crafts over the last two years. I like to prep the crafts ahead of time over the summer into zipper pouches to make it grab and go. I also make a list of the books and go along books that I want to cover each month to make requesting books from the library a breeze. I'm a bit sad that next school year will be our last year of the program in second grade.
I've gotten our next year of history from Simply Charlotte Mason. (It will be our first time using that curriculum.) I haven't taken the time yet to dig into all the books that we will need. I just got the guide and the spines thus far. That book about the Potato Famine in Ireland looked so interesting to me! I'm going to have to look that up as I know I have ancestors that came over from Ireland during that time.
My oldest son, also going into 9th, will also be using that Earth Science. This year he did BB science in the atomic age and struggled with it! So I'm hoping this one goes better for us.
I'm thinking of starting IEW for my 4th gradernext year. We are switching from TGTB and I'm excited but have so many questions. Does IEW, Fix it grammer, and all about reading cover all of his language arts needs? Are you doing all of that along with the other language book your using for 4th? He wasn't quite ready for spelling zoo
Thanks for the book recommendations. I already added some to my wish list. For next year I've been getting kids sewing projects, and board games like Catan. I plan to get Ticket to Ride. I got Anne of Green Gables book series. We are also going to try the Brinkman audio adventures.
@@PenniesAndSalt yes. I had those as a kid. We had tons of Patch the Pirates music when they were babies. Then we went to Jonathan Park which they really like. I like to be prepared for road trips.
Regardless of what the publisher says, Earth Science will not count as a credit for colleges for Physical Science. Physical Science is Integrated Physics and Chemistry.
It still counts as a lab science. His transcript will have Earth Science so that will be the 3rd lab science along with biology and chemistry. We’ve already discussed it with our college prep private school we register with.
@PenniesAndSalt Oh yes, a lab science. But in the video you said it counted as a Physical Science. Whether the college will accept it as a lab science depends on the university. That makes more sense!
